Few things to take note too. Though I love how this car look. As well as the steering wheel shape. Much better than G6 as G6 one reminds me of those Datsun pick up truck shape.
Also, Just like Tesla Y, the rear windscreen does not have a wiper (Sealion 6 has).
Also, it's kinda disappointing that despite this car having 360 cam, (Unfortunately, they are not able to do recording) NOr does it have Sentry mode. So, you need to install Dash Cams just to captures any incidents that happen on the road. (ie. crazy people running towards your car & claims that you banged them) Just test drive one in Singapore.. & the price to have this on the road, Almost S$200k....

It looks better exteriorly and interiorly as compared to Tesla Y. I think comfort is the most important in terms of driving and BYD is definitely the winner!

I prefer the soft («delayed») acceleration because it is more comfortable, especially for the passengers. I drive my BYD always in Eco mode; which gives a similar impression like a powerful Diesel car. In 14 months, I used the Sport mode less than 10 times; mostly when my son wanted to impress his friends... ;-)

Agreed, Tesla is more bitey in the acceleration (that initial surge never gets old!). Yeah same with me, I mostly drive on Chill mode which is more than enough, unless someone pisses me off haha!

Is the HUD standard in all models? Which model were you in when you demoed it?

The model Y is around 400kg to 500kg lighter. More solid, but you pay a serious price in terms of handling and performance

How good is the noise insulation? Road noise, tire noise compared to BMW and Mercedes SUV?

Based on my personal feeling, it feels just as good. More Mercedes than BMW if I take into account the comfort level, plushier seats and softer suspension

I’ve got to say I like the brand Tesla but BYD..are better looking and far far better interiors, I’m looking at buying this sea lion when it comes to the Philippines..I own a 23’Cobra and a Gac GS8 and a geely azkarra. The build quality on the Chinese cars is really great ..I’m ore looking forward though to the U9…that’s the bad boy.

Chinese are the undisputed champion in interior built quality that's for sure - it used to be the Germans. I'd love to see the U9 up close as well!

BYD will surpass Tesla, because Tesla got lazy and arrogant. I agree, that BYD's infotainment system is not at the highest level (yet), but they improve from update to update. At least they offer wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

im the 90% of user, i dont mind as long as its not laggy and best of all it has 360 camera unlike Teslas!

    • @ShawnLoong
      @ShawnLoong  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

BYD is Tesla's biggest competitor and they are heading in the right direction (especially in built quality). Infotainment I would expect Xiaomi, Huawei to be very competitive as they have alot of UIUX experience. As for the CP/AA integration, they are definitely a closed-ecosystem, following the Apple playbook - which although it has limitations, but it isn't entirely bad. It just depends what they want to protect more.

I truly believe Tesla could have just added in a 360 camera feature since their cars are full of cameras - but I think they opted against it because the experience of seeing a distorted 360 view (which most 360 cameras cars have) spoils the experience - that's why they went it a digital "visualizer" instead. It's very similar to Apple, they don't throw you every single feature that is available unless the experience is deemed good in their opinion. That's my theory at least. but who knows!

what lazy? BYD copy cat. I die also won’t buy a byd. Quality and reliability is shit. I drive atto3 for one year. Crap.

    •  4 วันที่ผ่านมา

@@simonleo4197 No problems with our Atto 3 (30,000 km) and Dolphin (40,000). Their ADAS is not good (yet) but mechanically and quality wise they are already top.
Tesla got lazy. They don't have new models since years - only facelifts. Tesla has also quality problems and BYD has surpassed them in battery technology.

  • @sohaila617

Byd is getting greedier with higher margin from overseas countries. Tesla is much better quality and technology. Stick with Tesla if its going to cost the same as range of SL7 is worse and quality of material is not as good as Tesla.

If you compare Tesla Model Y, I have to say that Tesla manufacturers quality much poor

The most chingchong element of this car is the passenger dashboard led light show feature, seriously what was the designer thinking? are they trying to copy the mercedes display dashboard but ended up with an IP infringement?

Now that you mentioned it, you're right! That looks like a very literal copy work haha
