The New World of Darkness dared to classify Werewolves as half flesh/half spirit, as the Guard Dogs against ancient, great and new abstract evils. You'll travel through the veil, use your super sense, HUNT everything in your path and, of course, hold back your murderous blood rage while taking multiple puppy forms!
It's a huge game, character concepts and creations take a WHILE, albeit everyone becomes a murder puppy. I found this book had the densest language of all the NWOD lines, even in the 2nd edition.
But if you can House Break your players, it is FUN with a capitol F and that starts the word Fur. - เกม

I've always wondered if you can have a pack composed of different tribes.
You absolutely can, the same as you can have a vampire coterie of different Covenants, or a changeling motley of different Courts. You might need to get creative to explain why you're all working together, but that's a pretty standard challenge with assembling most RPG parties.

Yeeeeaaaaaah. Turns out the fan holding the camera didn't tell me the power turned off halfway through the Mummy review. So, while there's no proof, I DID yell at the audience about Mummy, Demon, and Beast. I started uploading these an the whole plan backfired. Have you ever heard fandible.com's run of Demon? Favorite actual play of D;tD Got me into the game.
The thing I didn't like about this 2nd edition is this specific prey for every tribe to hunt.
It makes sense to me, it gives them a reason to exist. The need to mystically bind yourself to an ancient wolf spirit upon becoming forsaken always seemed contrived/abitrary to me. "Welcome to wolf club, now ritualisticly bond with a spirit you've never met to join a subculture you know very little about!"... What? Why?
Now having each tribe have an area of specialisation in the hunt makes more sense. And the tribe/prey combinations make sense - I find the storm lord one a bit of a stretch, but the others make perfect sense. The tribe keeping up with human innovation specialising in hunting humans, the tribe with the warrior mentality hunting their own kind, the mystics hunting spirits, the guys fixated on territory focusing on the hosts that mess with an areas gauntlet... it just fits
It's not like they exclusively hunt their tribes chosen prey, it's just their area of expertise.

heal all damage at start of turn? .... is that a new rule i never read in the core book because i just recall they had to spend Essence to heal on a 1 to 1 point unless its bruising damage which is 1 point auto heal.
