A couple of years ago, on Saturdays, I'd try my best to get home in time for The Marty Stuart Show on RFD-TV. Loved it...a half-hour of good music; it felt like a weekly visit with old friends. I don't have cable anymore, but thanks to TH-cam--and those who post--I can still have that wonderful feeling. Thanks!🙂
20 years after hearing that song, I never thought about that. They're coming to Big Spring Jam in Huntsville, Alabama this year. I haven't heard them in years. Looking forward to seeing them in concert.
One of the best "new" bands of the last years. How I like their cool music. Great. Keep it up, boys. "I like it, I love it - I want some more of it ....".
I saw these guys open for Hank, Jr. in, like, 92. Drummer played a 15 minute drum solo, timpanis and all. Rocked it. Better show than Hank was that night!
My band and I are going to have dinner with them tonight! They're also playing here tonight at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. Back stage passes! Yee Haw!!!!
@rikkilynn06 i I'm pretty sure it's a bar on the east side. At least it used to be. It's called something else now. Right on Dickerson Pike near Trinity Lane. I could be wrong, though. I used to deliver beer there.
Les Pauls have no place in country music? What? Tell that to Dickey Betts, Toy Caldwell, Gary Rossington, Charlie Daniels....etc. You're being facetious. Right?
Yes they are country but this song has a blues core to it. The bass line and the rhythm guitar. Les Paul's have been used in blues since the advent of Gibson electric guitars and amps.
@Chr1sMill3r Yes! I am not exactly sure but I think it is a 58'. Thought I read that somewhere in an article that he owned one. Must bring it out for the 'TV' dates!
@dderrick2007 it cant be that old because Fred is wearing a Black Stone Cherry shirt....and Black Stone Cherry started selling Merchandise when they got signed in 2006 by Roadrunner Records...so its atleast 4-5 years old
Why wasn't the other Phelps brother singing with the group? You would have thought he would have been with the group because he was the original lead singer.
Doug Phelps looks like my ex-husband who was 6'9". His mother was from Freeburn Kentucky and I have often wondered if they are related. The Casey side of the family had the size like this. Doug seems to have gotten fat and I wonder if he is an alkie like my ex. Gives them a "puffy" look in their face.
These boys are awesome down to earth folks. Love the song. Greatest bunch of boys I know.

Ricky Lee left to become a preacher
How cool is that???...And to think that some people think that Rascall Flatts is a country group...I beg to differ...
Is there any chance for a video of Pastor Evelyn Hubbard? Vicksburg, mississippi love her and I love your show!

Ricky Lee left to become a preacher
Ricky Lee went on his own singing
actually it's Dumas Walker's.........a hamburger type joint
He sounds a lot like his brother Ricky Lee...
@tatsandteles Sunburst??????
Ricky Lee was a better singer than his brother here but he does alright! I wish Ricky Lee never left but I reckon he had a good reason too!
Ricky left to become a preacher
Probably just Prozac.
They are not the same without Ricky Phelps
Nice old Les Paul.......It's only worth about 250,000 dollars......They ain't good lookin but they sure can play

Ricky lee Phelps was a better lead singer
Ricky Lee is a great singer but Doug is just as great. And he is the nicest guy I have ever met!
I dunno - Phelps was good but that guys pretty freakin good!
That guy is Ricky's brother Doug Phelps and yes he's really good.
Not to bad but. Not the same
