Q’s a beast for giving Kendrick that level of praise. Takes a real man to admit and speak the way he did.
Sounded like heavy idolatry
I mean he gave him his career, probably changed his whole life trajectory
OMM I LOVE THIS PLANET
Boss shit.
@@Man-lw1vp how is showing your brother appreciation idol worship? Kendrick saw in Q what he didn’t see in himself at the time.
Kendrick kept bro out the streets. That nigga was his guardian angel
and now look....Q was J. Cole's guardian angel. Kept that boy from getting ki11ed on wax. Things came full circle. lol
facts. i seen someone say Q x A$AP is better than Q x Kendrick. Q was all about money and drugs with A$AP. Kendrick helped Q better himself and his raps
Still iz
The reverence that Q has for Kendrick should be applauded. No ego, just love for his homie
This is what made black hippie so dope. These guys love each other like actual brothers. And it showed through the music.
Man I wish they’d drop an album again!! It’s long overdue!! 🙌🏽🙌🏽
I don't think we understand how important it is to have a friend not give up on you... Thats keeps pushing you... So underrated.
That’s why we have to be those friends to are people!!!!
K Dot knew Q had talent and he knew Q didn’t see it hisself; that’s why he fought for him with Top; then he doubled down and kept him on tour and doing shows to keep him out the streets and around the music 24/7. It’s dope that Q is reflecting and seeing it full circle, perspective wise.
You can tell Q has a lot of confidence to be able to show his respect and put himself under Kendrick. There’s a lot of people that take knowledge and game from mentors and then put them down after to big themselves up. That’s a good character trait to be able to stay humble and show his appreciation for it
Yeah man, he did say he dropped his ego for himself to be open to the possibilities
Intelligent ppl understand that they are always a student of the world
Q is very humble and honest. I think he grew up and realized Kendrick was a real friend when he didn’t have to be.
I already rocked with Q but this just boosted my respect level for him 1000%
You dont need to be better than literally the #1 rapper in the world, Q has such a good mentality
Q giving this level of humility and respect towards Kendrick. Than dropping what’s as of right now still the best album of the year speaks volumes on who Kendrick is as an Individual and even more who ScHool Boy Q is as an individual. The love is real between those two and it’s a beautiful thing to see in this hip hop climate.
In this human world that we all live in, the older you get, the harder it is to find individuals that genuinely care about you, pull you up when you ain't doing it for yourself. Kendrick and School are brothers for life
No jumper ain’t Eeeeever put out no content like BOF be putting out. Morals and ethics, Heart felt conversations, real life emotions, and real life LESSONS 🍊 🍊 🍊 🍊 can’t wait for the 200th episode!

@JohnnyTsunami566 Get off my meat
@@jusforyoutoob nah that’s yo momma frfr let’s get to that 🤡 🤣🤣
Y’all just can’t watch the show huh lol
@@cuzlightyear6184 It’s really just that simple!
If everyone was as humble as Q the world would be a better place.
its beautiful how Q is able to put aside ego and express his gratitude for what Kendrick did for him
The level of respect and honour that ScHoolboy Q has for Kendrick is admirable. Truly humble to recognise and remember what Kendrick did for him 👏🏾
When he said I'll never be better than him that was some of the realest shit I've ever heard a great rapper say all I can do is be a better version of myself this just motivated so damn much
I met Dot & Q at the same time back in February 2011. Setbacks had only been out for like a month and Dot had Q opening for him during a TX/OKC tour run. I hadn't listened to much from Q at the time but that night I became a fan of his. Haven't missed a show by him here since. And he's right. Kendrick is a real one. He's done some great things for me out of the kindness of his heart that changed my life and I'm forever grateful.
You really have understand what a Sensei is in terms of training and development and to life. Q is giving Kendrick what we call his flowers. But to a much much higher degree. It hits your ear wrong bc it sounds like he downing himself when he is really saying as great as i am. I am nothing compared to who helped me get to this point.
@@InspectahDET
So very true
That love was almost palpable watching them at the Pop Out. That is real brotherhood!
I love a podcast with an active construction site in the background & random people dapping the hosts up mid-story.
@@bloomt17 and shortys on her phone just scrolling, lounging like she at home 🥴 Kendrick ain’t going on there “When it’s time.”
This makes me so happy ! he said just Kendrick being his friend is crazy, he doesn't have to do shit else
Homie got triggered when he said kendrick is just better than him, even in fatherhood. Bro, chill out. You not gon be the greatest at everything. Schoolboy q was crashing out on drugs and thought the world was gonna end in 2012 even when he had a daughter. He had to continue to grow and turn into the man he is now, and kendrick is a large part of that. Doesnt mean schoolboy isnt great in his own right in various aspects of his life, but sometimes yeah other people just are built different and hard to excel past, and thats okay. Its just an acknowledgement of greatness to his bro.
Wow, the level of love and humility is incredible. I gained even more respect for Q.
These Niggas did so much for me. Like fr I always loved hip hop but Q and Kendrick alone got me into wanting to rap
Black Hippy was poised to be the greatest rap group since NWA and Bone Thugs N Harmony. Hope they still collaborate together and make that album happen.
Kendricks verse on Birdz and the beez sums up this interview.
@7:37 Props to Q. Think of the humility it takes to speak these words about Dot. It's a blessing to have a sensei in your life to guide you on a righteous path.
Mad respect for Q. He a real one
This aged so well following the annihilation of Aubrey salute Quincy
💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
For him to say he’ll never be better than him shows his level of maturity and humbleness I ain’t never said no man was better than me that’s why schoolboy one of my goats
I love Q! But I love that he’s real about that! Dot is GOAT!!
Q you made me cry. your one of the best
rappers ever and to hear you give Kendrick praises make me admire you even more!
NEVER outshine the master.
Damn you think Q wasn't sincere ?
@@anwarkansil9103 Kendrick a warlock. Q scared he might put a spell on him or some shit.
@@ToxicFishMediay’all weird. Q and Dot always loved each other. Him leaving the label wasn’t about Q and the crew but the label itself
@@ToxicFishMedia what you mean by that
@@ToxicFishMediathey are brothers. What are you even talking about. This kind of love can’t be replicated.
It must be relaxing to be able to just talk with your friends without having to go viral like no jumper. Always having to force some bullshit
This Q interview should be replayed to teach how to appreciate someone who gave you a way out. Especially after what we've seen from this K. Dot and Drake battle.
K dot is such a good person ❤
This aged so well its awesome
Respect to Q 💯💯💯
That's true humbleness
School boy Q matured like shit. I remember when I was 19, 32 now when Q first came out his energy was different. Real black excellence! Keep doing you bro! Why I feel like Q is about to turn up?
He bouta turn up this Friday fosho 🔥 Blue Lips
@@Truantt Just got done listening to the album shit is so dope.
@@traviscarter1023 I’m sayin bro, it’ll grow on them just wait
@Yunche17 Fam this the first time I've seen a westcoast artist rhyme over jazz music and groovy shit talking that gangsta shit. I think this album go's over alot of people heads. It was so different in a good way you could say he was in 2034 with this shit its a strong 4mic classic it's gets better every time.

You can tell Q and Trell are very close .. back on fig is lit
Respect to Q and the honorable and heavenly mentioned Mac Miller. Miss you Malcolm !
This is one of the most beautiful interviews I've ever seen. Big shout outs
Shot out to schoolboy Q. Ppl needed to see that kind ov strength!! Ppl are so disconnected from the real bcuz certain things look odd nowadays! Q is one ov the greatest! Who says there can't be more than one goats!
I love Q so much. He is crazy underrated and seems like a really genuine person.
I love q’s laugh man.
Could you imagine how fun the room must’ve been with him and Mac just cookin.
Whatever she passed buddy at 9:25 made his day way better
😂
Kendrick a real one for that. That's love ❤
Every person need a Kendrick as a friend 💯💯💯
very mature perspective, not everybody supposed to be the superstar, if that's not in you, there's still a place for you. NBA will always need a mike Conley
I respect Kendrick. Meeting him is on my bucket list I swear.
what an honest and humble person. fucking rare in this day day and age.
Damn, listening to Q talk about it... Hits you right in the heart. That's love.
Keep the content coming! Q is so humble it’s crazy! I respect the heck outta him!
Blank Face LP one of the best rap albums imo shit sooo underrated
Boutta drop a tear hearing this 😂😂
Q got humbled a few times by Kendrick speed in which he blew and how far he took it, but I still think he sleep on himself saying he could never surpass Kendrick. Imo there were times when they were coming up, where Q lowkey had it over Dot. Oxymoron, Setback, and Habits & Contradictions were all crazy.
can’t lie bro i feel you but i feel like Dot was always ahead. GKMC itself just blows all of those out the waters don’t you think? and I fw Q so much btw.
I hear what you sayin bro, around that period I was fucking with Qs music more but when I put that Kendrick on I'm always reminded that hiphop doesn't get no better than this.
I feel you. I’m a huge Absoul fan. But Dot is in a different level.
If Q dropped more hed be great but quality over quantity fr
Q and Kendrick are to real man...
Kendrick Lamar really a sensei and the Goats of all goats!🐐
Get you a friend that talks about you how Q talks about Kendrick
This some real s**t right here. SchoolboyQ deserves so much respect for his up bringing. W-gang.
The fact y’all interviewing artist is crazy y’all came a long way!!!
School Boys is a younger version of 50cent . He loyal as hell respect brother.
I rememebr watching live performances of Section.80 soon after it dropped. Theyre still on youtube. Q was a great hype man for Kendrick. Reminded me of Proof hyping for Eminem. Q and Dot worked in great tandem getting the crowd involved. But Dot knew as much as Q was a great hype man, he was an overall great performer. And so Dot knew the guy had a stage presence but that should be developed with his own music. It was one of the best moves they made at TDE. But i cant lie, it would have been fun as hell to see Q continue to hype Kendrick up like during the GKMC tour.
this man asked schoolboy q what he taught dr dre musically with a straight face. Give this man the lead role in any a list movie
So humble man. Loved this.
The way shorty slid homie the pill and how he popped it… Lmaoooo
Im feeling lucky of having heard schoolboy q, kendrick, ab-soul back in the good old days 🤩
Q is one of my fav rappers and the Sensei ranks is real talk 3000 he knows that's how Respect is given when it's proven. And Dot did that for him.
I watched this interview before the beef, rewatching it now hits much harder
So respectful great to hear that respect and appreciation
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 Bruh I'm dying at 8:09. Most people may have thought harder on the question when you ask them about fatherhood, but Q's just "yeah" lmaooo
The difference between a brother, a friend, and a snake... a snake wanna son you so they take you in tour when they see you crackin'.... a friend take you on tour cause they need or want you around.
A brother? Will teach you discipline, stay on your head, put you on... and then send you off to BE a man. Like, who can say they really have brothers?
Q get it you can hear the maturity an growth in him it’s crazy lol
Kendrick definitely need to make an appearance on here for sho 💯
Man ain’t no squad like BH, I wish they could’ve done a album together or still do one day
Its just so good to hear from Q!
“Never be better than the master.” - 48 Laws of Power
We need kendrick on here
Respect to Q, speaks from the heart.
That J. Cole diss on Pi is coming full circle here...
The Sensei / Sin Say bar.💯
See people don’t know how to be humble this how we suppose to be. Respect your mentors
Dot did a interview where Q would want to just quit the music (in the beginning) and just go back to robbing people and selling drugs. Dot told him to keep pushing and not lose focus
Q’ a real one 💯🥂
Never Outshine the Master. Q been reading during this hiatus
We need that TDE doc…
Q dropping the 48 Laws of Power and they ain’t catching it

This was dope af to hear these tde stories
The hosts seem too distracted and not into their guest 😑
the opening was annoying
Its crazy cause Kendrick always give J rock the same praise..
Reason should learn from this, Reason takes every opportunity he has to be negative about TDE and Kendrick and then hides it in "speaking my truth"
What did reason say about Kendrick ?

Think about what Dot must’ve done for Q to get this level of respect. Check the lyrics on The Heart Part 3 when he raps about Q.
Q setbacks my shit, got great memories to that man.
