i discovered this song 4 years ago. I was 13, and was in a bad place, mentally. Every time I think about that period in my life, I also remember the nights I’d lay in my bed for hours, listening to this song. “You” provided me comfort and reassurance; more than I got from anyone else at the time. On the cold mornings, this song give me a reason to get up for school. On dreadful nights, this song gave me a hug, when all I wanted to do was hide from any physical interaction. I’m now 17, a senior in highschool, and listening to this song in the same bed I’d cry for hours in, really gets me choked up. I’m proud of the growth I’ve had. Whenever I hear this song I think about waking up in the morning for school in the winter time. i discovered this song 4 years ago. I was 13, and was in a bad place, mentally. Every time I think about that period in my life, I also remember the nights I’d lay in my bed for hours, listening to this song. “You” provided me comfort and reassurance; more than I got from anyone else at the time. On the cold mornings, this song give me a reason to get up for school. On dreadful nights, this song gave me a hug, when all I wanted to do was hide from any physical interaction. I’m now 17, a senior in highschool, and listening to this song in the same bed I’d cry for hours in, really gets me choked up. I’m proud of the growth I’ve had. This song will never not be one of my favorites, for many more reasons, beyond what I’ve said. Thank you for this masterpiece :)

Whenever I hear this song I think about waking up in the morning for school in the winter time. The way I’d start my day was by walking out of my house with a breakfast sandwich and hot cocoa in my hands. Same as me! Wow who knew music could take you to so many places and still be stuck in one spot continuing to do your best, because music makes you feel things that if it's great music you will feel something. That something for me is striving to do my best. In any song I hear, I always hear someone or something being happy, then something tragic happens and then it gets back up again and continues striving for their goal. I don't know if you hear the same thing, but that's how I feel about most music. Honestly music is an amazing thing. It's 1:00 in the morning where I am at, still listening to music and read some comments because my assignment is literally to listen to music and say what song would match a certain character and because I ENJOY this song so much I never skip it. Alright I better get to work. Glad to see someone does the same thing as me and I'm not the only person who does lol. HEY PETIT BISCUIT!!!!!!!!! KEEP MAKING GREAT MUSIC!!!!

Her hair flows in the wind. She dreams of forgotten lands,
of a place she can call home.
Tears run down her face. Her house was never a home. She
searches for meadows with flowers, and longs to hear the
songs of the birds. She stops.
She shatters, like glass under pressure. Staring up into the sky.
Stars everywhere. Space so deep, you'd get lost. She looks down.
Misty eyed.
Her family lost in hate. Yelling and screaming is all
she knows. Her mind floods with acid-like thoughts. Burning
through her brain. The monsters in her house corrupt her. They
won't go away. They infect her family like viruses. Her life is stuck,
in a substance so alike to tar. She's lost.
A boy. A boy so pure, his name might as well be Hope. Close.
She's so close, to finding her forgotten land. He reaches out, to grab her hand,
to pull her out of her sorrow. The water's thick. She's drowning. At last, he
frees her. He holds her in his arms. He's comforting. She looks up at him, he's
staring down at her. She wipes away her fears, he tells her to be strong. She nods.
He is her forgotten land.
