I personally think they're the best at it right now bar none. The video format is perfect. It's like I hung out with them for a while for their opinions, ditto with this podcast. Dunno. I don't think people would watch your vids if they didn't think you're cool. What Farrah's thinking is the whole Shmee thing which absolutely revolts me because I don't like that type of vids much at all. But those are general mass appeal lifestyle vids which I don't really give a toss about. It's tough to do this and not have a clown-ey thumbnail right now.
This was epic. The show is great any time Jonny comes on, but the combo of Jonny and Mike and getting to take a walk down memory lane of the early online automotive world really made this episode special.

I’m a huge aviation nerd, and I’m obsessed with ekranoplans! It’s not “the worst ride” it’s the fact that they had to fly in such a small envelope to maintain a cushion of air, all avoiding sea traffic, so the concentration was exhausting. Boeing has a cargo concept called the Pelican which could fly like an ekranoplan, but also climb to a normal plane altitude. Sorry if I bored everybody
Good point, I think the max altitude for the Lun was only about 60ft, so that must be scary as fuck! Being a Cold War test pilot was unimaginably insane.

Ekranoplans are relatively efficient due to extra lift from ground effects, they also don't need to be pressurized due to being at basically sea level. But small amounts of swell can take them out making them pretty useless for military applications.
