I never thought of this before, but because a trike has three wheels, the weight is distributed to three vs two wheels, you have more chance of spinning out, a lot easier, than a two wheeler...

I have this trike and I have play in the steering column on one side only. The owners manual doesn't cover the topic in any detail. I thought it might be bearings but when I removed the wheel, it's between the axle and the handle, in the column. Your video was the only place I could find any mention of it. Any tips would be appreciated. The Sun components in my trike were upgraded to Revolution by the previous owner. It is a lot of fun.

I took it all apart, the problem was in the hexagonal piston of the suspension in the lowest part of the column. I can't fix it, it had to do with the machined tolerances of the parts. It's not front to back or side to side play, it's twist between the tie rod and the axle in the bottom of the head tube. All bearings are good. There was a press fit part in the top of the tube I couldn't remove or I would have tried to insert some strips of shim to tighten it up. Had to remove the tie rod connector to strip it down so Now I will have to realign it in the morning. A little toe in? I figure I will take cues from the side that still has the factory settings as best I can. I made and installed front fenders today, added a second battery last week and put on leather panniers also. 1000 wt Bafang is amazing. It's a heavy trike but it moves! @@DenisBikeMechanic

Did you ever get much flexing or side to side flex out of the rear while climbing on the bike?

Make sure when you are aligning this model to have rider sitting on bike as geometry of steering linkage has a defect

Does a 250W BBS01B Bafang Mid motor also suffice for climbing hills ? I ask because here in Germany it is a crime to use pedelec motor which is rated above 250W. I already received a penalty order - so you might understand my question...

Hi. Simple answer is Idk. In the US cops doesn't care what you're riding. Unless it has pedals you're safe. I guess motor can be programmed for 250 w output. Here we have option 1000w (offroad) or 750 (road) preset when purchase kit.

@@DenisBikeMechanic Is the silver chainring on your trike stock or aftermarket part ? It looks as if the chain would come closer to the frame with that ring as it is bent inwards...I only have the flat black 44T chainring with my BBS01B 250W motor which brings the chain 1-2cm away from the frame because of the motor, which might not allow to get on the biggest 51T pinion on the rear cassette.

@@19Marc79 that's a replacement part from Luna. Check their site. You'll see different chainrings there.
