It's nice to see an e-bike that looks like a bike, not something concocted for a sci-fi movie 😉

A nice around town and shopping bike I'd say. Should be fine and cycle paths as well I'd have thought.

Not bad road legal bike and £999 if you buy in the next 6 hours.

Think I'd rather they spent some of the build cost on a power cut off on the brakes than have an app.

To be clear, An app maybe extremely useful and add features and functionality. I'm not saying an app is pointless, just not a requirement I'd put over a very basic safety feature that even extremely cheap Ebikes seem to manage to have. When I was shopping for my current (and first) electric bike and was looking at specs, I can't say an app was on my "must have" list. A power cut off on the brakes definitely was. Consequently mine has a cut off but no app and I'm almost certain that I'd miss the cut off more than the app.
I also don't understand the thinking behind fitting (more expensive) hydraulic brakes without spending what must be an extra few pennies on speccing versions with cut off switches. It's a 250w, I'm sure standard cable operated or hybrid calipers with a cut off would have been quite up to the job if they so desperately needed to shave a little off the build cost. Rather defeats the object of having better hydraulic brakes if you are going to sabotage their performance advantage by having the motor continue to operate for even another second.

@leecooper8589 I would say that as its sold as a peddle assist only low powered ebike that the brake cut off wasn't really an issue as when you are braking you are not peddling.

@baconbuttties I get that but if you ARE peddling and have to suddenly apply the brakes in an emergency that motor is still powering the wheel. Even if it's for half a turn of the crank. Could that be the difference between hitting and not hitting the car whose idiot driver just pulled out on you as happened to me last month? As I suggested, they may have been better off fitting cable or hybrids on such a low powered bike but include cut offs. I can only guess that at this point, though, people sort of expect hydraulic brakes on all but the most affordable bikes and so what you have there is the result of the marketing team banging heads with the bean counters.
