You can clearly see that Kane is well cared for, and his owners know how to keep him from becoming aggressive. This isn’t one of those channels where the owner is just keeping a wolfdog as a trophy pet, with no idea of what they’re doing.

Update on Ace - I have gotten him involved in playing some of the games th-cam.com/users/postUgkx1_veP7CApJK_GWy_TczaMciuG64PqJeU and I can see a difference in his confidence already! My other dog played along and he became intrigued - now its a daily part of our routine - about 3 times a day we do the shell game and the muffin tin game. I am so grateful for coming upon your training techniques!
Minor fights are normal for animals just like humans. You can tell that they love each other because even when they fight they never actually injure each other.

A few years ago I was working in a pub and this guy who looked like a biker brought in three huskies and a massive (at least two and a half metres long) black and grey wolf and sat down outside. We all went out and had a look at it. The wolf seemed perfectly at ease with its surroundings and the crowds of people, but it was less like the unconditional friendliness of some dogs and more like a quiet sense of total confidence - it looked like it knew it could very easily outmatch everything around it, but simply had no reason to do so and seemed to enjoy the company and attention. It sat there in the sun looking fairly bored, tongue hanging out. It was both unsettling and extremely badass at the same time. Apparently the guy was one of six people in the UK licensed to raise wolves in captivity - the wolf did not look anything like a captive though, it looked as though it merely permitted the company of humans and easily commanded respect from everything around it. Truly fascinating. It's equally fascinating to see one living in a house with dogs - I hadn't thought it'd be possible, even with wolves bred in captivity. I can't help but wonder how different they are from dogs to live with day to day. Thanks for sharing this.

My family used to own a three quarter wolf. I don't remember anything of how he was when he was young, but he was pretty chill in his older years. Then we got a Shih Tzu dog and, well, he didn't really change. Never got aggressive over anything and he actually cuddled and protected her when they were outside. He was mostly blind and somewhat deaf in his older years but even then he was just chilling in the corner like he owned the place and we were only living with him because he allowed us to. Deep respect to the animal.
So different yet so much similar. Its also fascinating that teeth play may look aggressive to humans, yet for them it gives the joy of their lives. And the hugs and the snuggles they do... Truly wonderful.

This reminds me of how our chocolate lab used to play with our Frug. He played like Kane, super dramatic and loud/over exaggerating, but litterally putting in like 1% effort into the actual fight.
One thing you never do is breakup a dog fight. You could get seriously injured in the process. The best thing to do is wait for it to be over and then attend to any injuries.

A major "when worlds collide" was my mom's miniature Pomeranian and her basset hound getting along. The basset was a special kind so his ears weren't as long and he was black. Can't remember the exact name. He was 70 pounds and the pom, well she was 7 pounds. The pom would play bite the basset and bark at him. He would wag his tail and jump up and down. He would make a sound we called "moo" which was a whining sound he made when excited. He would have his mouth closed so it produced an "m" sound at the beginning of the noise. They would chase each other in the back yard, running all sorts of ways. So cute. But this "when worlds collide" between dog and wolf reminded me of that. I love animals. I think it's actually amazing how much smaller he is compared to the wolf. Imagine (for people not having a f-ing WOLF) your husky being the small dog in the house.
actually they're not! search up the alaskan malamute, they look a lot like huskies but are much bigger and the closest pure dog breed to wolves there is.
They have almost as many vocalizations as wolves

@@Rainedrye The wolf dog here has been raised by the dude since it was a puppy and shows no aggresion. Therefore he is mainly an inside dog.
ur Mu͜͡rked I agree, at 3:41 he got him pretty good but you can tell that the wolf let go on purpose. Thats how a pack works they tease and fight, but at the end of the day there still a pack.
This reminds me of how our chocolate lab used to play with our Frug. He played like Kane, super dramatic and loud/over exaggerating, but litterally putting in like 1% effort into the actual fight.

One thing you never do is breakup a dog fight. You could get seriously injured in the process. The best thing to do is wait for it to be over and then attend to any injuries.

@@kaurpold9706 Huskys are very emotional and vocal. Wolves are far more "stoic" if we are using human terms. However, they are basically different species. The husky is treating the wolf as if he were another husky, and won't know how else to behave.

A major "when worlds collide" was my mom's miniature Pomeranian and her basset hound getting along. The basset was a special kind so his ears weren't as long and he was black. Can't remember the exact name. He was 70 pounds and the pom, well she was 7 pounds. The pom would play bite the basset and bark at him. He would wag his tail and jump up and down. He would make a sound we called "moo" which was a whining sound he made when excited. He would have his mouth closed so it produced an "m" sound at the beginning of the noise. They would chase each other in the back yard, running all sorts of ways. So cute. But this "when worlds collide" between dog and wolf reminded me of that. I love animals. Thanks for uploading this and thanks to anyone who took the time to read this as well.
