I’ll never get over Kane’s jaw snaps. 😅
The only other breed of dog I know who has a similar Jaw snap, is the Belgian Shepherd, aka the Malinois.
And those are SERIOUS work dogs, they're usually used by Police forces and even the Army itself.

There's something in the sonic frequency of those snaps that makes me feel like the base of my skull is about to get bitten through. Probably an ancestor memory of battling wolves during the ice ages.

@@wms72 doubtful. Wolf dogs are very stubborn and will do as they please and don't react well to any form of punishment be it your voice or anything else and that trust you built up will evaporate in that moment

When it's that big and close to the camera, Kane's snoot looks so smoochable, even though in real life I think I would instantly regret putting my face close to a creature whose play-behaviors involve face-wrestling.

Both of your dogs are so gorgeous and adorable. I love how chill and laid back Harvey is. He has some beautiful blue eyes. I also love Kane's thick, fluffy fur. He looks so soft, warm, and snuggly especially on a cold day. ❤️

Oh and although I don’t have a wolf dog I have the next best thing - a Husky who is going on - yes it’s real - 18 years now! Every day is a blessing with my reddish brown boy with his hazel eyes. I adopted him 16.5 years ago from the Humane society in Florida and I am so happy we still have him. All of his friends, sadly, from Florida have long since passed over.
Chuckle, so many similarities to my world! He behaves and sounds (chomp chomp) like my Malinois, and we use “cheap” white blankets here too. Not worth putting a nice duvet or comforter on when you share the bed with dogs! And yep, plenty of tears and holes here too. I love hiding under the blankets and letting my mal dig me out. So funny!
Kane, this is the life. No worry about where the next meal will come from. I get to play with some interesting people and Harvey.
Yeah, and Harveys has been wrestling with me since I was only a few weeks old. LOL🐕
How often do you have to buy new beddings? They have holes 😂 But just looking into Kane's cute amber eyes makes up for it.

What a beautiful baby! I was most fortunate to have worked with grey wolf puppies for 2 summers to acclimate them to people then gradually acclimate them to our adult wolf pack at Bay’s Mountain City Park in Kingsport, Tn. They are so beautiful, intelligent, majestic, fun animals. Similar to dogs but not dogs. And you have to understand their behaviors and always remember that you are dealing with wild animals who have accepted you as part of the pack.
And actually babies since the 2 we’re playing lol!
I've seen many wolfdogs but yours is one of the rare ones that genuinely looks 'wolfy' in appearance. Love his gorgeous coat and gait. Wonderful temperament too. Congrats on such a great job raising this beautiful boy!
If you read the about section of this channel it states Kane is only 6% dog so he really isn’t too much of a dog and almost completely wolf hence his appearance.

This is probably the happiest wolfdog I have ever seen, and I've seen quite a few in my years. Do you happen to know what percentage he is? He *looks* very much like a wolf, but looks can be deceiving when it comes to them.

@@tek512 that’s not 98% wolf he doesn’t even look that much like a wolf when you know your shit he’s about 50-70 percent wolf , at 98% he’d look full wolf … give aways are his ears , tail and coloration , even his fur is all that of a wolfs

Kane is such a goof ball sometimes.
When I used to play with my dog I would grab him by the bottom jaw so he couldn't nip or close his mouth. I used to do different things that I knew annoyed him like touching and holding his paw(s) or blowing air at his ears so they'd twitch and he'd move his head. I miss him so much!

I have often wondered if seals, manatees, and walrus are related to dogs in some way.
Water dogs. Kinda. Look up caniformia, basically a lot of omnivore animals with four limbs, claws, and a long snooty snoot fell off the same evolutionary branch, opposite of things that are closer to cats. Foxes are just giggle dogs.
