@@BassLady thank you for the link, I checked it out but it wasn't what I really needed. In the video you uploaded the trick (ghosting) is in the left hand but in what am referring to the trick is on the right hand (partial muting). Where you rest your(right) hand on the strings close to the ridge, so that as you play it doesn't sustain completely. It produces short sounds. I hear bassist do it during worship sessions when the music is down. I hope I was able to explain better now cause I mistakenly did it today in church as I was playing but haven't been able to get the entire trick, thank you and more grace

Oh okay... Just keep practicing. What you try doing with the bass guitar in your church, I believe you will start developing clean sound.
