Ranking All Nintendo Handheld Consoles Worst to Best. In this video I will take you through the history of every single Nintendo home console from the original Gameboy to 3Ds and rank them from worst to best. Where looking at Mario, Zelda, Metroid, Kirby, Megaman, Starfox, literally every Nintendo series.

I have to say the DS is the best portable console Nintendo has ever released. Backwards compatibility+gba slot utilization, the gigantic library, etc. Is what really made this console the best.
It also was very innovative and gave us some of the best Pokemon, Kirby, and Mario and Luigi games

I will always love the Nintendo 3DS and will always be my number 1. Soooooo many fond memories with the little guy since 2011 and still do to this day, love it to death ❤️

For the Gameboy Classic, "But Damn." truly sums up the entire experience. Dragon Warrior remakes, Pokemon RGBY, Zelda, Mario, Wario, Tetris. You have everything you need for long waits or pick-up-and-play moments.
I think you should have included the New 3DS line as its own spot. It's kinda like what the GameBoy Colour is to the GameBoy, but for the 3DS

For the DS Lite you left out its backward compatibility. Part of the reason i agree it’s number one is because you get to still play all those great GBA games as well as all the new fun DS games. Not to mention the mods you could do and have basically unlimited games for free 😮💨
The vid I've been waiting since you've uploaded console ranking vid. For me 3DS is my very first Nintendo handheld system. So I have loads and loads of bias about this system. In my opinion, some of the 3DS games deserve to port onto switch. Love your ranking vids man. I truly hope you do more of this kind.

The Nintendo DS is a huge part of my childhood and i have nothing but good memories from playing on it, from Super Mario 64 DS to Pokémon Black and White. Plus, i just love how feels and look.
The DS holds a special place in me heart.
You forgot to talk about the new 3ds which i feel like everyone forgets about and I don’t know why. It had more than just improved 3d, it was more powerful than the older versions which meant game loading times and download times were SIGNIFICANTLY faster, it made larger games that struggled on the older systems run a lot smoother, it had a c-stick and extra shoulder buttons, as well as exclusive games like Minecraft, fire emblem warriors and xenoblade which wouldn’t have been able to run on the older systems, or at the very least would have run like crap lol. That’s not mentioning it’s massive virtual console and DS backwards compatible library.

Yeah the Nintendo handheld consoles always had great backwards compatibility to play every handheld game Nintendo ever made all you need is a Gameboy Advance and a Nintendo 3DS.

Absolutely, with custom firmware you can even play all the retro ds games (NON emulated :) )+ snes, gb, gbc, mega drive, etc

The GBA and DS are neck and neck for me. You can’t go wrong with either of them.

as someone who owns all of these consoles, it's fairly accurate, still, I don't understand the final two rankings.
the 3DS is just made to be an improvement on the DS. It's existence introduced less touch screen gimmick based games. A full series of Pokemon games based alone on making circles on the touch screen were introduced. and that's just the beginning of it.
it also just wasn't very powerful. most games were sprite based or 2.5d instead of full 3d. the original model wasn't very good, and the final model removed it's gba backwards compatibility.
A good portion of the 3DS's library may be ports, but the rest of those unique games are more than likely to never be able to see the light of day on another console. yet the entire DS library is playable on every 3DS console.
on top of all of that, the 3ds just has way more comfortable models.
but that's just all opinionated crap
tl;dr - DS should be second and 3DS should be first. you do you tho

I will say I enjoyed the mic because it added some features to Mario party games. But the camera was probably my favorite feature because before I ever had a phone or camera, I had a dsi. And I’ve looked back on that thing and I have memories form 10 years ago on there.

The Game Gear had a color screen before the GameBoy Color, and with a backlight too. It's low bettery life made it barely portable, though.
DS will always be my favorite especially because it was the best phase for Pokémon in my opinion

Back lit OG Game Boy was only available in Japan, during the last year of the console’s life span. It should not really count, especially when you’re from North America and couldn’t get it.
I would rate the Game Boy Color higher than the OG GB. Also because it’s my first ever console :p

I like the 3DS the most. It had great games, but the DS had better games. Playing all those games on the 3DS is what makes it my favorite
Minorist of minor nitpicks, but the Ace Attorney series actually got its start on the GBA! Never released in America, albeit, but it did! The touchscreen was helpful, but you'll notice, never required for gameplay of the first three games (besides "Rise from the Ashes," the fifth case of the first game with a clearly different quality and 3d models that was MADE for the DS release!) because it was a port! The original title of the games are "Gyakuten Saiban," if you want to know more. They recently hit 20 years old, having the first game released in 2001! Sorry, I see a chance to talk about Ace Attorney and I take it. I agree with your list though, in terms of the ground rules you laid down!

The Gameboy Color is not a new system generation, but a refined version of the Gameboy, like the Gameboy Pocket. Look it up

Worst part of the Virtual Boy is that Wario Land is actually a fantastic game. Only way to play it is via murdering your eyes or on an emulator.
