She’d have to speak in mostly English and idk if she’s fluent in it or just decent. It would make things more awkward as well as they’d have to translate everything for her. Maybe one day in the future she can do smth like this

On top of that, most affluent families in Thailand send their kids to international schools which teach in English and require a certain level of proficiency. So probably most of the population isn’t that great at English but the kids from well off families are pretty fluent

Also, for spoons, I suspect they would say "piao gen" (although a bunch of canto people say it like that too) but we say "shao zi". There might be like 1 or 2 more.

About the word 变形金刚 - Transformer in Mainland China, that lady's explanation was not accurate. While 变形 means transforming, but 金刚 is actually a Buddhist word Vajra. It more means undestroyable in Chinese, for example diamond is also called 金刚石. Btw, King Kong is also translated to 金刚 in Mainland China as it pronounces similarly.
