The gear I feel is the main hold back for many...when I started I virtually had nothing...just my regular street clothes...then people I would meet would say that I needed special boots, pants, poles, wicking shirt, a new jacket, special electronics...and the list got longer and longer...it was rather discouraging, especially on a low fixed budget and the prices of all this "stuff"...I'm glad that I didn't take their advice...the main thing is to get outdoors and start...you can always get some of the gear later...my thoughts anyway...thanks so much for the reminder and have yourself a great weekend...
