When I played house flipper I always used to complete the job to 100% And then proceed to barricade all the doors and windows with brick walls so that the owners can't get into the freakin' house when they get home.
Proceeds to walk through the door, only to be stopped by a brick wall. I look at the wall up and down, then say "This house is... Perfect! It meets all of my criteria, an enclosed house with no windows." Offers 750,000 for the house.

I played far lone sails last week. The summery of his feelings in that game are the same as mine. It just felt like the game was missing something. Good game but still it could have been better
Considering other games that gave us so much more and were so much worse? I actually felt it was pretty relaxing and honest with itself. Simple, but capable of identifying itself. What with the past couple years of series reboots and rebrands and relaunch's and all manner of games that have no clue what genre they even are. So yeah a dilute vegan salad is actually quite refreshing.
LOLed so hard at Yahtzee singing while mowing down granny imps! XD Also the Twix car with chocolate candies as fuel! Also the funny bits in House Flipper when the human shanks the female imp! XD
To each their own (especially when we come here to listen to Yahtzee shit all over games, not gush about them) but I personally loved Far. It was such a relaxing game, n I loved making my giant tank feel more personalised, by picking up random crap along the way, n taking it with me. A flower pot here, a chair there. N the way everything that isn't on a hook, falls over when you stop suddenly. Plus, I LOVE when games tell a story, just with the backgrounds and environment. Like in TLOU, when you'd be looting a house, and see clues as to who lived here, or in Dying Light, when you would see signs of escape attempts from people (like in old Town, you see a rope made from bedsheets, hanging out a window, with a van below half packed with stuff, but also a blood stain on the floor) Far does a great job of telling a story about a world that fell apart, and why it fell apart, without audio logs ruining the peaceful nature of the game, and turning it into background for an audio book, or text files you have to keep pausing to read. Plus, the way the machine gets upgrade or repaired along the way, making it clear there used to be lots of tanks like yours. To each their own, but I loved that game.

batshit insane? well lemme tell you a story. one time, there were three people in a mountainous area with caves, they lacked shelter and thusly seeked such out within the large confines of a cave. Little did they know, one such a cave held an ancient danger; they were all mauled by a horde of Spelopedes and Megascarabs.
Lemme tell you another story. There was a colony of 3 people. One of them was Ivan, a vat-grown super soldier who was the colony's hunter. Compared to the other 2 survivors, he could shoot a fly out of the air from a kilometer away with a spear fired from a cannon. He could repel pirate invasions of 5 alone with minor wounds. But then, one day, a squirrel in the area went mad and attacked him. Before he could kill it, it bit off his index finger (right hand) and clawed his left eye out. This, coupled with the fact that he slept outside for the last 2 days, ate without a table and didn't smoke Smokeleaf (the game's equivalent of weed) for quite some time made him go wild, strip himself naked and desert the colony, leaving the other 2 to die of hunger as they could not farm for shit.
I could just imagine having to keep people happy as one of your jobs in Far Out. So you are running away from the active volcano, you running around trying to make sure the ship doesn’t fall apart when a customer asks, “Can I have that bag of chips now?”
3:08 see personally I think ALL jobs are repetitive jobs since the modern era doesn’t have us really develope a craft but rather be a cog on a conveyor belt
House Flipper is strangely absorbing. I'm like never having that much fun with it but I can't wait to go home and spend hours cleaning a virtual house to flip it.
That house flipper review bit about this being what we would do to distract ourselves as the world crumbles around us hits way to close during the current apocalypse
Yahtzee has done a great job on this one. But he does not need to apologize for covering House Flipper. We all should enjoy a relaxing game once in a while.
Far got me back into PC gaming. Most games seem daunting when you look at the amount of time it would take to complete them so you just never download them and cancelling Humble Monthly made me feel like I was going to let children starve. I played it on a dreary PNW rainy day and it fit well enough for my COVID brain to move through. Then I put 80 hours into Elden Ring.
You know, while playing House Flippers, the thought came to me while playing about how Yatzhee would view this. I wasn't that far off the mark... though his video was funnier than the lines that popped into my head. Also I never thought he would actually review it either.
With a long summer ahead, I would like Yahtzee’s take on a three way comparison between Cloud Pirates, Dreadnought, and Fractured Space. However, when these games fail to run in a playable manner, Frostpunk could be worth a look. Disclaimer: should Yahtzee read this I am NOT telling him how to do his “job” just suggesting what he could review.

I tried to play Far: Lone Sails on my laptop, and lasted about a minute and a half before I physically taped the 'zoom' button down because I couldn't see shit with it zoomed out. I lasted about another five minutes before abandoning it completely purely for the lack of a toggle rather than a hold button. Didn't want to bugger up my eyes. Played a lot of house flipper though, until a random bug wiped my chosen office back to a dirty old frat house. Twice. Didn't care for it after that.

True.
