Really can't say anything bad about the Crave. Would recommend as a 1st Synth or to add to your collection. Over the past 2 years my Crave has been used and abused and no issues. I have other synths but Crave is one my favorites. Adding some modulation effects, delays and reverb takes it to the next level. I highly recommend the Mooer Red Truck multi-fx pedal.

Got one recently for 100 box. Really cool when plugged with cool delay bank/stereoizer/reverb stuff. Makes cool bass lines too.
Have had mine for several months, still unraveling some of its mysteries, more info on patches would always be interesting. Also, love the bright green color (I just have the stock orange version).
The green is just a skin you can buy. The machine only comes in orange unfortunately

For modular choose neutron
If you spend a couple bucks more you can get the minibrute 2s by arturia which is imo the best way to get into modular very cheap for what you get :) look It up!

Did you do a custom paint job to it? How is it green?
you should learn how to use audio rate mod sources for analog exponential fm. you can extract different timbres that way

Im indecisive between Crave vs Neutron vs model D, if you have to choose one

The Neutron is great. But for same price you can get a crave and an edge or a grind and edge.
Amazing video. Quick question what are those plugs that you are putting in and out on the top for different fx? Looks very fun!
Patching cables. This is semi modular, so you can reroute the internal functions via the patch cables. It doesn't affect FX though, they are using external fx.

I recently finished a Trax using my Crave for the bass line.
Its up on another platform =👂~ ☁️ . It's called Black Nobility , Same name & picture as above.

That's what the museo crowd dose mostly. The world of synths can be hard work , like all good music.
Can detect a lot of anoying white noise. Are these naturally from the output(s) or were added intentionally for texture?.... very nice melody BTW.
A known issue with Crave is that the noise oscillator leaks through, even if the "mix" fader pot is turned all the way to "OSC". It is faint, but you can definitely hear it.
There is a really simple fix for this: plug in a patch cable in the "ext audio" input. This will physically separate the noise oscillator from the mix pot, effectively killing the leaking noise.
The patch cable doesn't even need to be connected to anything. If you don't have an extra patch cable, just take any odd cable with a 3,5mm plug, or even just a cut off plug with no cable on it.
If you do have a patch cable to spare, you can always patch the second oscillator (wichever not selected) into "ext audio" and blend the two wave forms as you like with the mix pot.

@@Sparks95 I think orange is the only option and that this uploader bought a green «skin» for it, I guess that means one has to stick it onto the orange, ir you see what I mean. I’m thinking of going for this synth myself. Not too fussed about the colour, the orange looks pretty cool too.

I really don't understand the price tag for such a simple 1 oscillator machine.. Plenty of free VST can produce this simple sound
The knobs. Turnin them wirh your fingers. It's like a guitar in your hands.
People routinely pay more for a single Eurorack VCO or Filter. This is a remarkably cheap instrument.
No vst sounds like this little analog box. You notice it when you start to seriously place such a synth in a fat mix. Does it sound like the mother32? No, he can't quite do that. Does it sound better than all known mother plugins? Let's be sure. If you bought all the individual segments of the Crave in eurorack modules, you quickly pay 5 to 8 times the price and then do not even have so many patchpoints that the behringer offers. But most behringer haters are simply gearsnobs, because over generations it is simply repeated what others have said or written. Yes, something broke down in the past, but the millions of devices that have been in operation everywhere by people who just want to make music and don't have so much money since 20-30 years are rarely talked about. Why is the company so successful? Because everything is broken? Because everything is overpriced scrap? Think again about your comment. Peace brother/sister!
