Are you sure cause 504 is 82nd airborne and if I remember right he had the chicken (eagle) head on his uniform with a fictional looking rank that kinda looks like captain but Vito enlisted and would need bachelors, Italians weren’t given much respect until after ww2 so it would be difficult for him to become an officer and take 4-6 years to become captain

Actually is more complex than that. If Vito knows about 5th SFG than it is possible that he still are aware of the situation the world currently is in. Which means he is not just a business man, he are aware about the Vietnam war and I think most of the guys who are his goons are also veterans of Vietnam as well. Most of the Sal Marcano goons are also war veterans, or some them choosed to be a goon instead of serving it. You can see a dialogue between Sal's goons saying that "It is getting to boring, I wish I was in Vietnam"
Lincoln appreciated someone who actually understands what being in the army is like. Hell even the other military guy foreshadows his story even saying that even though your home your not really home
It took me so long to realize that it was tommy from the first game that they killed. That part always confused me why it was such a big deal that they took him out. I thought it was just for dramatic effect.

The 60s music and vibes also realistic. Everything going right and we get the shittiest mechanics. Damn, I hated the game and regretted my choice to try it even though I pirated it back then.

They aged Vito *way* too hard, he’s supposed to be 43. 💀
He lives a very stressful life style and he’s a heavy smoker. This is very realistic aging for someone who deals with these issues.
