One of if not the best channels on youtube right now. Your commitment to bring high quality content is immaculate.

They're fighting an uphill battle trying to take on fashion. Fashion is so customizable and so specific, and then it all changes so fast. Trying to automate that is a huge challenge since automation typically depends on predictability and repeatablility. It'll be impressive if they have even a small impact. We'll just have to wait and see them prove it.

I think they are trying to beat the market by leaning into that. Clothes built in rapid automated configuration vs sprawling supply lines that would need updated to meet scale.

WOW! Smashed the sub button. I love your ability as an interviewer to ask a question and then just listen to the answer without correcting or injecting - easy to say, but a very hard skill to learn. Bravo!! Plus, I just love the idea of 3D weaving, and I can't wait until Kevin's vision goes to general market. The world needs more Kevins for sure!

Bro has literally highlighted how I deal with memory issues to a point I hadn't consciously thought of and for that I am grateful.

Kevin uses a lil notebook to write down stuff, it's pretty sick.

Same for me. If I want to think of the same problem a week later it’s like de novo. This ends up creating many interesting iterations for the same design problem. If anything sticks it’s because I’ve beaten a serious path. Maybe it’s like when you lose an e-mail draft and you loathe rewriting it but then you realize it’s not so hard and the second version is actually better and went pretty quick.
Anyway, when he said goldfish, I thought he was going to talk about water body sizes 😂

The difference in how it feels to talk to a founder working on a real company (vs., Extropic) is incredible. Real world work will humble you, real fast.

There's noise cancelling or some kind of filter on the audio and it's driving me nuts. It sounds like it's trying to make speech more clear but it's distracting and sounds like you're mumbling.

Yeah it's been growing old to me too, the alternate is (1) worse audio quality or (2) massive podcast mics. What do you think? Atp I'm thinking I like 2 a lot.

@@s3_build if the interview is in a factory we expect some background noise... or find a conference room

@@s3_build can you get the raw audio, pass it through separate noise cancellation software, then mix 1/4 the original to 3/4 the noise-cancelled?

Team goldfish 💪🏽 Yeah, I have the exact same issue, and same perspective. I call it "cognitive consistency" as a system, where given the same variables, I should be able to the same answer. For the sake of the fact that I cannot rely on my own memory.

min 27:58 you don't need to explain yourself, its the invisible hand that distributes the wealth equally. That being said inflation/money printing and dilution of the money supply does distort this effect for the masses and those that own assets but net benefit does go to society.

3d weaving is a very old idea and 3d knitting machines are a decade+ old now. I was hoping for innovation not a rehash of old ideas.

I think the "3d weaving" they're talking about for clothing here is quite different than the 3d woven textiles made by, say, Bally Ribbon Mills.
