      Love to go to Arg for a RWC! Why Oz again!? Their people are vaguely into it and not really. Oz rules, league etc.
      US not into it but also hating. What a waste.
      Ireland and Argentina. Give it to them. I’d go.
      And I’m a Bok fan who lives in Hawaii.
      LA is closer but I’m not even motivated for that location as a host. Pathetic by world rugby.
      USA is not the future of 15’s.
      If so, way way after we’re all gone.

    Great effort Pumas, I wasn't that surprised, I think they are underrated and are slowly becoming more consistent. They were always going to be up for this at home especially after the buzz form of last week. I wouldn't be surprised to see them go close next week, they are a different beast now and know they have to string games together. Boks at home such a force though and with Eben's record breaking game you'd have to say they are still strong favorites. Awesome that TRC still up for grabs.

    is nice to hear you recognizing the hard work of pumas . for us is a kind of a dream being able to give real fight to AB , bokke or australia. i believe that we learn from this teams all , and will keep on learning because they are the best, at least for me , AB is the top and after that the springboks ... maybe this is the fist argentinain team that has a full identity when they are able to move the ball quickly from side to side ... so the important fact for pumas is that they are now able to show their own way of playing rugby but not lookin after what the best world teams does ... thanks

    • @cobusbrits2
      @cobusbrits2 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      This is something I dont understand. Boks are keeping adding to depth and you can only do that by resting key players and adding experience in serious pressure situation by playing away without your best. Rassie used this as a very valuable space to hit out which will not cause the Boks to lose the RC. What use would it be to send his strongest team over and to clinch the Cup just to have a dead rubber in which youngsters will not have the same 'real' pressure.
      Did Rassie wanted to lose this game? No of course not but he had a reserve game in hand - in SA - to do the dirty if his players couldnt manage in Argentia.
      Rassie knows how to make the most of whats coming Boks way.
      Boks by minimum 20 next week, have the Cup with new players having had the best chance to grow.

    I would never, and Julian knows I am a straight shooter, say the Boks brought their B team, because that is plain Bull! The Argentinians have always been an underestimated team to play, whether it is at home, or away. Things change, drastically within seconds with them. Maybe we went in too confident (which is our biggest mistake) and got our asses handed to us. We needed to be brought to our knees proving that just because we are world champions that it is a walk in the park. It does not matter whether you play the Mighty All Blacks, the speedsters from the land of the rising sun, or the farm team from Timbucktoo, the playing style and dedication needs to remain the same. Well done Los Pumas. We deserved the hiding! See you next time.

      @JulianShawofficial  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Totally! Obviously I didn’t love when Argentina beat the All Blacks this year but I have a similar philosophical outlook to yourself. When Argentina was added to the rugby championship over a decade ago the end goal was that they could beat any of their opponents. They have just grown and grown as a team and are now world beaters on their day. I am excited to see how they perform against Northern Hemisphere teams!

    AB's take note on how you beat that rush/offside defence, stand deep and beat them with the hands and running angles, and sort out your positions in the backline and your bench, get a better comp and get the overseas players to play again.

    Argentina are not a brute force team, their players are not hugh. So their game plan is running the ball and they are fast and their passing is really good. The Boks gave their young guns a run, Moerat is not really a Bok captain, but he needs more game time, Manie should not kick. Overall, good game, Pumas did well. The return game will be different, the Pumas will be tested properly.

    I was at the stadium. The penalty they missed at the end was a result of extreme pressure from the crowd. You'd think that an elite player wouldn't get nervous, but the noise from the fans was exaggeratedly deafening at that moment, something they may not be used to.

    Shock? Nonsense, that implies they had no chance of winning, and no one expected them to. Pumas are always dark horses.
    Boks will learn from this and bounce back. Maybe a silver lining will be that Rassie looks for an alternative to Manie.

    Julian, far from me saying this was planned - I find it decidedly convenient that next weekend Etzebeth will be playing for a SA record *AND* the tournament is *NOT YET* concluded a.k.a. a dead rubber in South Africa!

    Argentina remind me a lot how France used to be for decades. Absolutely deadly 1 week with often very beautiful rugby…..then flat as a pancake the next. But jeez they were good against the Boks.
    Rassie should just take this is as an acceptable loss in his quest for an interchangeable 40-50 playing squad. Rotations can be a problematic quest though. In NZ, we’ve done this quite a lot over the last 25 years, and our fans don’t really like it, regardless of the probable benefits. Certainly not more than the core 23. That’s a continuity thing v building for the future.

    Nothing past Argentina, well done! Helps the Springboks wake up and calm down. The Springboks did NOT play well. But, and sorry to say, Libbok is not a Springbok. He is not supposed to be there. PLEASE. Dear Rassie, your view on Libbok is very faulty. You get great players in all countries who are great and worth a lot. But then make them play for Springboks, NZ, England, wherever, and then they are just not up to it. How many opportunities and chances do you get to start performing? Libbok's skills are natural, so why is he not forced to practice goal kicking 16 hours per day? No, for the Springboks, post kicking counts a lot, can win or lose a game.

      It is interesting that Libbok has lost us crucial games that would have made the bookies a considerable amount of money, for example, this game and the pool game against Ireland in the World Cup. One has to wonder.

    Not unexpected. Cant change 9 guys and add new guys before you take on Argies at home. Good on Rassie for having the faith, but to me was always a lose. Good on Argentina for taking the win. Hope they remain on the up. Will be good for rugby to have a more consistent Puma team

    Razzie & his Bomb Squad came under rapid fire from the Argies after they led 17-0 for 15mins of the 1st half? So why did Razzie leave the kicking to Manie Libbock who missed the supposed winning goal? This is how the All Blacks lost the last RWCup to the Boks missing two convertible simple kicks so this loss is felt deeply by the Springboks all over.

    World teams are very close, a must is a reliable kicker. The boks had an easy kick to win the game and missed. So many games are won by a kick . Semi final and final of curry cup, semi final rwc , lions series, etc etc
