Fun fact : the reason why Adoration and Trinity require any type of HERO for their fusion is because they were released in the TCG before any other V-HERO card, including main deck ones
Imagine they released them with vision HERO materials but just didn't give us any for a few months. The utter waste lol
@@jameslambert5198 That's what happened with Blue Eyes Shining Dragon. It requires Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon to be summoned, but that card wasn't released until a year and a half after Blue Eyes Shining Dragon.

Yep. The release of Vision and Masked HEROs is also what caused the TCG to adopt the all capital HERO naming scheme, since both archetypes worked generically with other HERO cards. I still remember the article previewing them in Shonen Jump years ago.
Fun fact your full of shit. Koonami only released trinity and adoration cause they wanted to give heros a generic fusion that was easy to bring out. They could of released the vision heros back then if they wanted to but chose to wait on them.
The two greatest wishes of all Hero players is that Adoration and Escuridao’s effects didn’t suck
I’m thinking of running super poly and Escuridao in my hero deck, and I’m just so disappointed that it’s effect isn’t better. Adorations ability isn’t much better, but it’s at least just slight more useful.
How bad is it like I thought it wasn't bad so I put it on my ex deck recently I haven't used it yet
@@AlejandroGarcia. it has an atk boost that is so slight it might as well be a vanilla. Metalfoes have fusion monsters that are excellent Super Poly targets, but have no useful effects so they aren’t played, same case as this.
Time to another hero fact! In the GX manga,the Vision HEROS are the deck used by Aster(Edo) Phoenix, instead of the Destiny Hero deck that is used by him in the anime. The archetype's name, Vision Heros, comes from their effect that allow them to stay in the spell/trap zone, like "visions"(and in the manga, when they are in the S/T zones, only their heads are visible in a ghostly style, representing the said "visions)

Vision HERO are treated as continuous trap cards while crystal beast are treated as continuous spell cards.

The Vision HERO engine (Faris, Increase, Vyon) really elevated HERO decks to be what they are in modern Yugioh. They existed beforehand solely in the GX manga. Which makes me wonder when we’ll see the main deck Masked HERO monsters be printed and if they will further elevate HEROs. One thing is for sure, they’ll make Contrast HERO playable lol.
Only if they make the Main deck masked heroes effect monsters. if they keep them as normal monsters.....
Those 3 are literally the only Vision HEROS I see.

And if Konami could make Dark Law become a powerhouse in HERO deck like that, surely if they want they could make those main deck Masked Hero just as OP as they want!

Philosopher's stone - Sabatiel anime version no questions asked. It's basically 3 destiny draws.
When a "Winged Kuriboh" is destroyed, you can add this card from your Deck to your hand. When you activate this card, pay half your Life Points to switch this card with 1 card in your Deck or Graveyard.
After you activate that card and it resolves, add this card from your Deck to your hand.
If you activate this card after switching cards 3 times by this card's effect, its effect becomes the following effect. This turn, Select 1 face-up monster on the field, and multiply its ATK by the number of monsters your opponent controls.

I still have a misprint luster dragon #2 that is missing the "#2" from its name
Frog the Jam wasn’t a misprint. It was named that before there was officially a Frog archetype. That meant all of the Frog support cards needed to exclude it in their texts.
Eventually they errata’d the card and changed the name to Slime Toad, which I believe is the original OCG name for it. Now they no longer have to exclude it from Frog cards in the future.
The same thing happened with Red-Eyes B. Chick, since its OCG name doesn’t include “Red-Eyes” despite being a support card for the archetype. They just changed the name to Black Dragon’s Chick and solved that problem too.
One more example would be Harpie’s Brother, who has no relation to the “Harpie” archetype, it just had a similar artwork design. Now it’s called Sky Scout.
There’s probably more but those are the most notable ones. Hey this could even make another video itself.
Weird observation I just made: you could easily splash the Sacred Beast (Uria, I think?) that uses traps as tribute material among in a Vision HERO deck. Same with Crystal Beasts and Hamon.
Well yes, but you need to hard draw Uria.

@@stonalisa3729 who said it had to be a Hero deck? It could be in a Uria Deck. And the Sacred Beasts have plenty of support now for searching them out.
The problem is VH are not traps in the GY, so Uria would have 0 ATK on the field. You still need to get traps in the GY, which is annoying at least. However, the idea in itself is not bad.
I love how every single one of these cards is in Duel Links.
Konami REALLY likes the Vision HEROes, apparently.
Yeah lol. Sadly they can't do much without other hero support so heros as are just a mediocre deck. Konami hasn't added an actual new elemental or destiny hero since Stratos

@@aroperdope yeah it probably did. There's so much potential for heros to be good but konami just says no you've got your Stratos so no more support for like 6 months and counting. If they add mist or liquid solider the deck could actually be competitive but hey we have 3 Stratos with nothing good to search so I guess we can't complain lol

After seeing Trinity, I think that would be interesting to see a "Top 10 Cards that are mostly played because they are dark".
But Honestly a Top 10 Amazoness or Vampire Cards would be cool, because probably if we keep bringing this subject, maybe Konami will add Tania and Camula to Duel Links.

To be fair witch raider's main power in duel links was "set 2 traps and then summon a 2700atk beater using them". It was a good beatdown monster, considering the average deck couldnt really special summon much anyway, except like. Marmiting captain luck.
It was good in mask hero as well
@@kNoObzJMVL yeah, I was just too deep in "Im going to play every ATK increase card and then attack." Strategy which worked frighteningly well against my friends, since none of us paid anything to the game.

Have you ever thought of doing a Duel Links focused month (or something like this), where you make top 10s of archtypes that are or were super strong on DL? Like Furhire, Amazoness, Onomat, Triamids etc.
God I hate Harpies decks in duel links. They're everywhere now and just seem to be better than before. Elegant egotist literally gets used repeatedly because it's not once per turn. My favourite though is Yusei and the shooting star road skill. Makes getting a boss monster easily if you manage to only get Junk Synchron to your hand. Dunno if any of that saw proper competitive play in the tcg
I don’t play TCG but seeing as how that strategy is not even competitive in duel links I don’t think so...it is cool but just way to easy to disrupt. Also, remember, in the TCG there are no character skills so there is no way you are getting Shooting Star Dragon out consistently on turn 1 or 2. That said I DO think Stardust Dragon used to be very good in the TCG, as well one of his other upgrades (which we don’t have in Duel Links) Shooting Quasar Dragon.

I dont know if yhere are enough cards for it but i wannasee you do top 10 fusion monsters that require neos as a material because he might be the monster that is needed specifiaclly for the most fusion monsters at the game
@Imran A While Avian has a lot if fusions (Like flare wingman, mariner, pheonix enforcer, wild wingman, tempest, electrum and the dark fusion equivalents), Neos by far has the most with fusions such as Brave Neos, Neos Knight, Flare Neos, Aqua Neos, Air Neos, Dark Neos, Glow Neos, Grand Neos, Chaos Neos, Nebula Neos, Divine Neos and a whole lot more.

In Duel links Witch Raider also use to clear backrow before use masked change to summon masked hero anki, and sometime use in chain reaction deck as a boss monster.

I just want to say it again that I'm especially loving these hero monster top 10s.
Suggested topic: top 10 most common type-attribute combinations. Like, Dark Warrior, Light Dragon, Earth Machine, etc.
Its funny how "multiply guy" sounds like it would get more bodies on the field, while "increase" sounds like it would increase atk of a monster, yet its the opposite
I kinda wish that Vision Hero Trinity, once the attack doubling effect was over, you'd be able to attack directly with it, since it's just got 2500 ATK from there, and basically has no effect once the attack double is over
It'd be probably one of the best and easiest ways to otk.

Plus as icing on the cake Faris is level five which means it fits half of the materials for Malicious Bane and since it usually gets tributes off by Increase anyway it keeps Dark Calling online

I think this is the first time I've seen your preview examples from before you start the list as a card on the actual list. Definitely not a criticism or a nitpick I'm actually really impressed and it just a useless thing i noticed and mentioned for the algorithm.

In Duel Links, Witch Raider has seen play in Amazoness decks in 2018. Witch Raider has not seen play again since then.

He hasn't yet. I believe he did want to make a full-on World Legacy Lore Video at some point, but we haven't really seen anything of that either.

There's only 9 Masked HEROes in total, unless you count the single Contrast HERO with them. Either way, it'd just be the entire archetype in the video.

Witcher raider's effect doesn't have the "you can only use that effect if you haven't special summoned anything besides heroes." Its a restriction after you use the effect
Top 10 decks that were meta in TCG and Duel Links like: Gladiator Beast, Blue Eyes, Six Samurai, Thunder Dragon, Black Wing, Spell Books, Mermail, Noble Knights, etc...
Surprised Poisoner beat out Gravito. Whilst Gravito isn't quite good enough to make it into any HERO builds I make, it's banish recovery effect is one I always consider, and in an actual Vision Hero deck its ability to proc two at once is neat.

U could have switched vision release with trap that special summon vision hero from deck when ur monster or hero get destroyed and half one monster

Example: shooting quasar dragon -> negate any cards (field), summon shooting star dragon (leaves the field)
predaplant chimerafflesia-> banish monster (field), add poly/super poly (leaves the field)
silent swordsman/ magician-> negate spell/attack boost (field), summon boss monster (leaves the field)
The restriction of faris is only if u put a vision hero on S/T zone, u can use as extender in any other combos heheeeee

Some personal bias here and there can't hurt when talking about your favorite game :)

(11:30) I always take umbrage with how modern hard once per turn summon effects seem to specifically leave out Flip Summoning; they could just save text by having a "If this card is summoned" or "When this card is summoned" - but instead they specifically put Normal Summon or Special Summon, taking up extra text and specifically leaving out Flip Summoning... for whatever reason.
Seems like Konami wants to erase playing cards face-down from the game entirely, considering that, Link monsters, and the overpowered hand traps. Hell, they nerfed an already bad card, Darkness Approaches, when Link monsters came out simply because it was the only thing that could flip a Link monster face-down. You definitely bring up a good point about saving text space, though, considering how much they love _that,_ as well.
Minimum ray is also non-targeted destruction, so its more useful than it sounds. Still a little niche tho
Has top 10 Lightsworn cards been done? Excluding the obvious number 1 in JD maybe have it as an honourable mention?

Does Vision Release show an unused Vision HERO? Always thought it was Increase but the colors are different
Witchraider was actually incredibly strong for months without end, because trap cards were actually an important part of the deck. If you summon it, it was almost a guaranteed win.
Adoration and Trinity are similar, because stats actually matter in Duel Links. Trinity is especially annoying, because. DL starts with only 4000 LP.
