I went to the shop last week looking for my next Honda and sat on a few. This was the one I was thinking of settling on and I think you just put me over the edge seeing that you have it. Did a handful of your mods on my Grom and am very pleased. Your videos are the best. Hope to be doing some of these on a new bike in the not too distant future. Keep up the great work, bud.
Have the same exhaust on mine and I love it! just the right amount of sound with a much cleaner look as much as I would love to have high side pipes the oil pan sits just as low as the collector anyway so it wouldn't gain any ground clearance..
Very cool bike, looking forward to the new content! Your grom vids have been great, I only got my grom a few months ago and have learned alot from your vids.
This is coming together nicely for you! I just picked up an SCL500 myself in June, and I'm looking into options for mirror mods. Do you mind sharing a link to yours?
Any suggestions for what to do about the White lubricant container that sits right there in the middle of the engine? To me it sticks out way too much, but spray painting it black means I can't see what's inside anymore lol
The one thing that stopped me from buying one is the ugly wannabe scrambler exhaust they put on this bike. Low mount looks better, also a whole lot more useful if you intend to travel with this bike.
The exhaust is the size it is because of emissions. In the US, at least, a manufacturer legally cannot provide equipment for sale that makes a bike non complaint.
So much better the lower exhaust
Looks great sounds great & room for saddle bags both sides
The SCL denomination is due to the CL500 name being registered by Mercedes-Benz in North America... read it somewhere...
looks far better with the exhaust pipe down lower.
Welcome back. This is going to be an awesome New build series!

The mods you've done to this bike are so cool ! Incredibly good taste and really transform the bike !
Thanks! Really enjoying how this bike is coming together!
We missed you!!!!!

Honda has some of the most cumbersome and terrible looking stock exhausts currently! This is a huge improvement over stock!
Nice vid! Happy for you & the new bike. Looking forward to your mod vids.
Can’t wait to see this build unfold!
Thanks man, appreciate it!

That’s a nice eggsaust
Sounds nice! Great video. Where’d you get your custom mat made?
Please consider dynoing the bike with the OE exhaust and this one and post your findings.
Good day, What are the mirror on the SCL 500?
Best regards
Doubletake Trail mirror
nice to see something little more serious then GROM lol
Mercedes owns the trademark for cl500 in the USA. Hence adding the S
Wow, that’s interesting. As I search for parts, I’ve noticed “CL500” returns more Mercedes results than for the Honda motorcycle. Thanks for the info!
How to know if the exhaust is approved for Italy?
Do you have the link for the website of the fender eliminator?

On the stock system, what is the sensor/bolt that is screwed into the cat?
O2 sensor to monitor AFR.
@@eastcoastish
Was anything difficult to reinstall this sensor to the new pipe? Or simply unbolts and bolts back in?
@@alec5241 no, it just threads on. Make sure to wind the cable in the opposite direction first so that the cable isnt wound up when you screw it in.

It’s the brake fluid reservoir for the rear brake - I was thinking about making an aluminum cover for it or something. I agree it sticks out.
Oh no, and there i was thinking the new pipe would be minus the Cat and sweep around the side of the engine instead of below like the oem
DMV Shout Out
What mirrors did you use

Thank you

Its crazy that Honda doesn't offer this style exhaust as an option. They kinda dropped the ball imo.

The original looks better...
lol, aesthetics is definitely personal preference.
spoiled the looks and caracter of the bike .
I definitely disagree but of course it's personal preference.
