I have been fighting depression, death is on the horizon (due to health), and my time is unknown... then again none of us knows how long we have, but it is worse when you know the years will not be many unless divine intervention changes it. A lifetime ago it feels I was good at what I did. I was a writer, a poet, an artist, and I wasn't perfect at any but it was my passion and if I could just make one person happy with a picture or photo or sketch or poem or story of whatever random topic it was made - it was worth it. Life dragged me hard and I cannot say that I did not deserve it. I am not a good man, as I say, just a man trying to do good. I have wanted now at the sunset of my life, before the time comes, to push one last time and leave something great for this world to remember me by, a legacy if you will. I think that spark is still there. I do little things here and there, but that creative part of me mostly died a long time ago, or fell far within me. This, this video here, it makes me want to get back that part of me to do something. I felt that thirst again to write, to draw, to photograph, to do something even if just for a few or myself; but to do something to leave behind other than the mix of memories in my wake until those are echoes and the echoes' echoes fade to nothing. So, in a long-winded and overly descriptive way - I want to say thank you for posting this. Maybe before my time comes I can harness that part of me again and give it a creative, chaotic, beautiful, and broken, magical, and sad and happy mix of art and stories - one last time at least, I hope. Time will tell. Aye, time will tell. I will not go gently into that good night.

If it makes you feel better, in the grand scheme of things and the whole existence, there's no wasted life, because our life is technically meaningless and no one would bat an eye if our planet just disappeared overnight. Every second you are enjoying something, be it even playing videogames, it's not a wasted time.
Also remember that plenty of people start poorly and this can continue even until their last moments in life. Not everybody is lucky so use your ability to judge to it's best potential and compare your life to others if you feel lost and don't want to feel alone in all this, but don't forget that everything in higher ammounts is a poison, so try not to lose yourself judging the achievements of others and then comparing it to yours too much.

It feels like a week ago i was 17, but im already 20 y.o and ive done nothing but live mindlessly, not a care in the world about what i want in life, not thinking about taking care of myself or anything. Well, im done, i started to realise how fast days come and go and how i should work towards improving my life bit by bit every day instead of waiting for something because that something will never come, yea i know im still young but im glad im realising these things now
You'll be 30 in an instant, let me tell you that. Whatever you thought to do later, tomorrow, one day - try to do it today.

I lived exactly like that during those years. I was unemployed till 22. Now I got a job at least but it doesnt pay very well. Dont know yet what my next moves will be but I definitely need much higher income.
You are 20. That is the age where I failed two studies, worked different jobs but couldn't enjoy them. I was also 20 when something changed. I started to improve myself, looking up videos, reading the Power of Now and Six Pillars of Self-esteem. I was 20 when I contacted a self-suffiecent farm on a island part of the Azores. I read the profile and wrote them on impulse. I could come. Worries flew of me there, because there I was living a pure life. Worries all left my body and mind. I just turned 27. In a few days I will go to the desert of Morocco, Africa, the only continent I haven't been. I've been in 50 countries, worked all kinds of jobs, drove a scooter from the north to the south of vietnam, did a Vipassana meditation of 10 days in India and so so much more.
You are 20. Make a radical choice, change your environment and find joy in working on yourself. Once day you'll sit somewhere and feel a pure joy you have never felt and realize how you never thought you would be here but yet you are, because you choose to make a change when you were 20.

i'm 20 and still learning how to live life. i've wasted so much time online and it has got especially bad since the pandemic. I can feel my childhood curiosity with the world slipping away each day and it scares me. I'm a biomedical science student and so I often slip into existentialism. However, i'm starting to read more, watch more impactful stories, and I always loop back to how important human connection is. I just find it amazing how so many people feel connected through this video and I admire the people who spend their life crafting stories that capture the human experience, however ugly or beautiful.
