Just an advice : you should perform various distance tests so we can hear how things sounds when not directly in front of the microphones (like when playing you know).

@@sarveshponnusamy I have it too, it's really nice. Very full and rich sound just like the video. Mic has a nice weight to it, and the arm and shock mount are also good quality. Of course there's a bit of self noise, but mine sounds better than the one in the video, no high pitched whine. If you can get it for 60-80 bucks I think it's a no brainer.

Been watching your videos including this budget mic and finally ordered one! Thank you so much for testing this out.
Just received my Maono PM422 and your video definitely helped me out. I making gaming videos just for fun and when I listened back my voice seemed kind of muffled. I had it at 50% gain even though had it literally 3-6 inches from my mouth but hated not seeing my keyboard. I turned up my gain and moved the mic away and to the right of me. Still not sure of proper mic placement though.
I found that the best place for me is when I'm max 6 inches away from the mic and the gain almost at max and then adjust the volume on the recording program. :)
@@theTechNotice Thanks! That is usually where I have it positioned. Using AMD Radeon Relive for my game recordings right now. I have already noticed a big difference turning up the gain. :)
Probably the best review out there on Moano. Could you please tell me whether this pm 421 still has the self-noise and the whistle at lower input levels like 85 to 90%? Because it could really be annoying while recording vocals. I am thinking of buying Pm422

With this mic, you hear EVERYTHING around you, but when you playback the recording it doesn't record any of the surrounding noises/sounds. Minimal editing is required.

After one hour of checking out videos and doing research on different stores, your video sold me that Maono. I had the Neweer on a tab and was unsure about it since I don't know anything about the brand or microphones. Was thinking to go for a samung g-track pro or a Blue Yeti but those were more expensive and couldn't find them with a whole kit either (plus can't go over $200 buying outside of my country without having to pay way more). had a budget of $270 for one but im glad im spending $130 on this one!

I would suggest a dynamic cardioid microphone the best one that appeals to me is the AKG D5 however it is an xlr mic so its not plug and play like this mic is. BUT for just starting out I would say this mic can definitely do the job, but over time to get pro quality id upgrade later down the road.

Hello. I just got my mic and what I noticed is this... When you have on the headphones and are talking into the mic, you hear everything around you, even outside, but when you playback the recording on the computer it didn't record all of the surrounding sounds. That is a great thing.

Why does the Maono have LOADS of humming and vibrating and ringing whenever you even think about touching it or its arm, but the other 2 microphones do not have this?

When I connect the headphones to the microphone, I also hear the sound on the desktop, but also what I'm talking about, how could I solve this problem?
Does it work with Windows 10? Most USB mikes don't due to the WIN10 drivers apparently.

the sponge foam doesn't necessarily take the pops out. TBH I never use the sponge haha, just a pop filter :)

Try the built in option in discord called Krisp, it helps a whole lot and you don't have to download anything extra

desk mic arm should extend fully . if that's not long enough, a full size floor stand is like $20 off amazon.

No, if it's a USB mic you don't need an audio interface, just connect it straight to your computer via USB cable. :)

most likely, it would work. the only downside is you have to move yourselves near the mic (5 inches for the best quality)
