Just Brilliant! Though this intepretation is vastly different from the MC Alain version, I feel both you, Marcus, and Alain ‘get’ this piece. That is exactly what I love about these longer chorale preludes: there is no one tempo or registration that is correct. This is just what I needed when learning this piece for my Bach lunchtime organ recital at the end of the month. I am playing a twentieth century baroque organ which sound a lot like Noordbroek! Though on a mechanical organ, for me at least, it would be harder to get the same degree of accuracy you do using this tempo. I also agree with one of the other comments: those dutch dulciana’s with a tremulant are great for CF’s! Truly amazing video

@@MarcusReeves thank you Marcus! Though I am currently finetuning this piece myself for my recital, I can say that it does require real skill to get the ornamentation as spot on as you do!
Beautifully played, Marcus, sorry I missed this upload. I often have a heard time keeping up with the good organ uploads on TH-cam, in which this recording certainly belong. Noordbroek turns out to be a nice Bach organ in most cases, well played! I'm curious how you will judge the upcoming Leens sample set (a Hinsz organ).
