    Great video Tommy. I wish developers would add in a practice mode so we can try out different clubs and balls without the risk of losing trophies and coins. It would also enable people to hone in their skills on using wind rings and elevation change calculations.

      Agreed Keith. They definitely need a practice mode.

      If you just want to practice with a club, play on the cheapest tour. That is basicaly practice and when you are done you can get the trophies you might have lost back in 15 minutes.

    Why doesn’t PD just tell us what the elevation is at each hole in-game? It’s not like in real life golf where you can actually see the elevation. No way to work that out accurately from the preshot camera angle.

    Hey Tommy, the wind and shot guide that you provide for golden shots (is the elevation adjustment already included?)
    Also, im unable to understand how to calculate elevation which is more than 10%? Thanks for your videos bud :)

    Hi tommy
    I was doing so well, but the head winds and side have me beat, I adjust fine with tail wind, but I adjust the same way with side and head and the ball is no where near the hole, pleas help, many thanks

  • @rockymars80

    it would be much better to use the sniper as exemple since its pretty much 1 wind per ring, easier to understand

    Tommy love the content! Wouldn’t the wind direction deviate the adjustment when calculating elevation that way? If you did the same adjustment with a head wind vs side wind would they not require different elevation adjustments?

    • @GolfClashTommy
      @GolfClashTommy  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good question. There is two ways you can go here. There is those players that do change the elevation to compensate for the different winds. There is also those that move their landing position slightly to keep the same elevation.
      Im a player that want to make it as simple as possible for myself and by having the same elevation no matter wind makes it easier for me to remember :).

    • @arve-stigdamstuen3215
      @arve-stigdamstuen3215 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@GolfClashTommy, there is a third way of doing this by using the wind direction tool in Golf Clash Notebook.
      And as you say, keep it as simple as possible.
      Nothing is simpler than using this tool :)

    • @GolfClashTommy
      @GolfClashTommy  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Each for their own. As Ive stated in so many streams is that I really really enjoy the notebook app, but I would be careful using the wind direction tool as there is several players from beginner level to high level that getting a very inconsistent result using it.
      But once again, if it works for you, then keep doing what you are doing :)

    What is 10%? 10% of what?

  • @jpdst29
    @jpdst29 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I'm sort of stumped. If a wind is going left or right and I adjust 10% up or down for elevation that just moves the point of impact left or right...not forward or back, so it still missed the target. You almost need to adjust left or right for the wind AND forward or back for the elevation.

      Haha I dont always have perfect shots. But for me its all about structure. Build your adjustment and follow them in the same consistent structure as always. That combined with always letting the arrow release at the same time at every shot.

    Hi Tommy - quick one, working through the numbers at 17:52 and am wondering where i am going wrong.
    Wind = 10 THEN add 10% = 11
    Sniper 10 MAX is 1.02 wind/ring
    11 / 1.02 = 10.78, however you have 10.5
    I know the difference is small, but am i missing something ? Thanks in advance

    to clarify?? you subtract 10% uphill and it does not matter which direction the wind is going... at your back or in your face.... same as downhill.... add 10% regardless of whether the wind is behind you or in your face??

      Tommy watching you’re video for the tournaments have got 2 gold banners on rookie, awesome, thanks to you,
      Q1 when looking for elevation I look at the flag and eyeball it, so if I can see the hole I call it 10% if I can’t see half the the flag I call 20% and if the can’t see flag pole I call 30% is this right?
      Q2 side wind, o just can’t call it at all on tour 8 really struggle and tips for that please?
      Keep up the excellent work Tommy, you do for all of us 🏌️‍♂️🏌️‍♂️🏌️‍♂️🏌️‍♂️🏌️‍♂️

    • @GolfClashTommy
      @GolfClashTommy  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks Stephen, well done!
      Q1 - I would say that its not accurate, BUT as stated in the video, you can have a different elevation for the same shot but play with just a different adjustment. But basing elevation on how much you see of the flag would not be accurate imo.
      Q2 - When having crosswind you need to compensate for the second bounce. If the shot plays 10% you will bounce on the spot that you are aiming for BUT to compensate for the second bounce you can do 3 ways. 1. Offset the ballguide line to the side of the pin. 2. Add extra elevation to your shot to compensate. 3. Add a general addition of decimals to your adjustment. I do play with alternative 1 most of the times.

    Uphill shots are less affected by the wind. Does that include wind from the sides?

  • @spezialigor
    @spezialigor 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Tommy, excellent video! I have an important (for me) question. Quarterback and Sniper at level 10 both have accuracy of 100! I know a table so called "masterlist" in which the accuracy values are assigned to wind/ring value. For accuracy 100 the value is 1. Now the question. Why these clubs, both accuracy 100, have different wind correction values?
    I calculate every time with 1 and now I see, that is wrong. No wonder I lose more often.

    • @theincrediblebulk7040
      @theincrediblebulk7040 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Because the driver gets more distance than the wood club, therefore the ball is in the air longer and effected by the wind more

      I agree,it is very confusing. He doesn't do a great job at demonstrating how to do it, just a lot of talking. I learn better by showing me every step. Nowhere do I see him going through a shot step by step, using the + - to adjust for the wind, then using the rings with the adjustment to make the shot, compared to no elevation.
