I love Boris!!!!!! Thank you for giving it your all. Don't know if any other professional drivers would get back in a car at 61 and race Sonoma cold being out of the game for so long. Inspirational - thank you Boris for being you.
Racing competitive is like skating on a razors edge, you gotta find that edge in order to know what you and your equipments limits are and constantly push those limits
@@brandanhall9943 I don’t think Robby Gordon will ever come back to NASCAR , especially with the current NASCAR management and the charter system. The Charter system just about killed the possibility of any new teams
I have had some Run in’s with Robby off road. He has always been a punk a$$ bitch. I don’t think he that good of a driver. He ran us off of the course when we had nowhere to go. When called out on it his reply was “ just get the fu*k out of my way….” He of course was in a trophy truck, we were in a factory Mazda class 7s. He gave us the “chrome horn “, no big deal, but we had trees on both sides of a narrow section…….. the next “chrome horn” put us off corse and into a tree. There’s no cause for that. We had 3rd in our class when he did that…….. he’s an arrogant little putz…… His dad “ Baja Bob Gordon is a very stand up guy! I think Robby was raised by wolves……
Not sure why they need a “Ringer” when there are so many younger drivers in the sport that deserve a chance to wreck a Hendrick car…. 20 years ago he may have had a upper hand on the NASCAR scene as a fill in road racer but he hasn’t even finished top 20 in YEARS while driving a Cup/Xfinity car. Why waste the ride if he aint gonna get you a top 5 or better? Give a new kid a chance.
Boris is still a wealth of knowledge on road racing of tracks all over the world and can deconstruct a track quicker than most. He's coached most all of Hendrick's drivers over the years including the ones that went on to be good road racers for full time competitors such as Jeff Gordon. For all Boris has done for Rick, staying loyal to Boris or even costing an Xfinity car to Rick is a drop in the bucket, plus Boris was giving real time feedback on the new repave at Sonoma to Hendrick including his younger drivers which includes all the Jr Motorsports drivers, which Rick is 50% owner of.
I would have thought the most embarrassing thing that happened to Boris on the track was getting arrested on the grid just prior to the race starting at Mosport . Then they hauled him off to jail where he had to wait a day before he could get bail .
I remember the Road Atlanta runoffs years ago when you choked and spun in the first turn on the first lap, lol.. You are the Chokemaster!!! Should have only raced 300hp cars.

He came to my most recent VIR club day and drove a Trans Am car. He is insane fast with nothing to feel embarrassed about.
