B Rizzo And? They're track suited cars and the integra isn't swapped. Besides swapping an engine on a honda is as easy as installing bolt ons, regardless it still is a honda engine. CRX also come with B series from factory in Japan.

+B Rizzo you're going way off, formula d cars are indeed extremely modified. These cars in that video have only bolt ons and fine tuning racing coil overs. Honda chassis are sturdy and well balanced, they're super light and their transmission all have short gear ratios that allow them to stay on their power bands making them perfectly suited for track. It's no coincidence hot version tuners use all kind of Honda platforms all the time and put them against awd and rwd platforms despite all the other fwd options available.

Small light cars like this have an advantage on tight courses. If its a GT type big circuit, where high powered sportscars can stretch their legs, the result will not be the same.

Zenki Ev Factory GT-R's are set up to understeer. No idea why. As soon as I changed the suspension in mine it became much more balanced
Don't forget the semi slik tyres they had. It gives tons of grip. This race was made to make gtr look bad. But i held up very well if you ask me.
+somenutjob I guess it's just so people don't end up thinking they're a drift king and drift into a wall when the pick it up. All cars do this as a safety measure.

Ah the CRX. So many memories. I think the only one I haven't owned was the DX. I've owned the 88-91 crx hf 's and si's and toyed with them putting in b-series engines and one was a 1.8 with a 1.6 GSR head. I ran 13s in the quarter all day long. It was quicker then most anything out on the street.

Orido and Tsuchiya are awesome drivers, but the GTR driver is very good too. It was his first time in this circuit.
Honestly this show really goes above and beyond to show what a difference the driver makes in a car. And how wonderfully fast cars can be when driven well. A B16 and a B18 just blew an R34 off the course. And they are in way different classes

I'm a Nissan and Honda fan. These 3 cars sounds are amazing. Probably if the R34 has a different racing suspension like the CR-X and the Type-R it will do a better job on the corners. But this race was epic.

@@dudleylandsberg1747 I didn't catch that send the time stamp of when the R34 slowed down on purpose. If you send me a time stamp of the R34 hitting the brakes to turn a corner, then you will be a poor race car driver and you will end up on the dirt.

The GTR was stock. The other two cars had suspension and, more importantly, track tires.
B R the gtr is still too heavy and slow for a turbo sports car. Not to mention the evo smoked every generation of outside of the r35 😂
Not true. It still is a GT car for the streets that's no way 'too slow for a turbo'. It's just way too much weight and wrong layout for this course. This btw is what I think makes this video great - showing that power and rwd/awd is not always needed for racing.

Once my job leaves me more time, I'm gonna build a track car again... but going for 200hp on a 1ton car wouldn't quite cut it on most tracks here in Germany, since you'd constantly get overtaken at high speeds.
If Honda continued the CRX, oh my just imagine the possibilities.

Oh, man it was EXCELLENT to see two Hondas push Godzilla around the track. The R34 is one of my all-time favorite imports (I am very much an import guy), but I was very much rooting for the Integra from the beginning. I was born a Honda guy, and will die a Honda guy, crappy automatic transmissions be damned.
Problem with this battle is that the Integra is mildly tuned and the CRX has waaaay better modifications on it

Highly refreshung compare to shows that put those rich boy toys on a track and show off the top speed.
Technically the GTR is in the wrong circuit and such result is expexted as we can see how much the other two had pull ahead.
The best part is the drivers highlighted the importants of the gear ratio. The ability to combin knowledge like driving skill, circuit, road condition, car capability.... etc and then tune you gear ratio correctly is such a rare and valuable skills these days.

Great race. The drivers skill level was the factor that made the win not the car type. Only the CRX and Type R had been modified and although higher output the GTR was stock. Great race though!!!
