In a scenario where there is lead paint, but the paint is peeling and therefore needs to be scraped off to be skim coated, is this something that is considered Lead Abatement and therefore cannot be performed by a Certified Renovator or can it be performed but just not labeled as lead abatement?
The RRP Lead Paint license is a additional license for someone who is already licensed as a contractor in the state of jurisdiction they are preforming work in. It is the contractors license that is allowing them to preform the remodeling work and the RRP license that allows them to handle the lead material. I hope this explanation makes sense.
