Very good video. This was an excellent primer for folks new to working with lead paint as well as an excellent refresher for those who have not worked with iot in a while. Well done! 👍
This is not news. When I had a rental house in Baltimore in the 90's the city had regular workshops on the responsibilities of landlords to test and remediate lead paint in old houses. I'm glad you're teaching this - actually a little shocked, Wes, that you're saying you were not aware but that means a LOT of people know nothing about it. This is critical for house flippers as well as furniture flippers. Thank you
Thanks for this Wes. I have an off topic question about cerusing. I have watched all your videos. I have a honey oak bedroom set - a wedding gift from my parents 30 years ago. Problem is that only the door faces are solid oak and the sides/box and top are laminate. Will cerusing work for these pieces??? PLEASE advise or direct me to the answer or video that will help?? I adore your videos!
I can think of more serious health issues, for instance take the aerosols dumped daily and the smart dust, the nanosenors we're all breathing in without any knowledge or consent. And the epa doesn't care one iota. Lead paint didn't peel like latex does when it was used correctly not globbed on and even in the space where the double hung sash & weight window, run move up and down. As though that needs paint when it's covered with windows. Most people never wash their walls, they instead slap more paint on I'm dealing with that in this house, the previous owners just painted everything, hinges, window locks nothing was safe from their latex paint. I find it's always the latex which is the problem, which flakes "latex" also doesn't block any of the emf which now permeates our enviorment and flows right into our homes, lead did, but no one is talking about that.
Yeah i figured the contractor was cutting corners or stupid huring a couple imagrants with a couple of side grinders to sand it off not even mentioning this eas going on then blowing it off like no big deal

Hi...your solid doors will work fine with the cerusing, however, the laminate sides and top will not. Sorry. Thanks for the visit. Wes
First like yes!!!!!
I didn't see any info outlining the effects of lead poisoning.
Is lead based paint synonymous with oil base paint?
No. Lead white is a pigment. You can get oil based paints today and they use Titanium dioxide as a pigment instead of lead white
thanks so much
You're welcome! Wes

Hi...I appreciate you visiting the channel and thank you for your comment. Wes. 😀
pretty sure you shouldn't put that in the trash either, there is chemical disposal that the refuse from it should go in.
"The EPA had to get involved." That is why it got so expensive.
Thanks for the additional info! Wes
You need to wear gloves when sanding lead paint, even when wet. And you must NOT use paint stripper containing methylene chloride on lead paint!
Why not? What does it create?
Yeah i figured the contractor was cutting corners or stupid huring a couple imagrants with a couple of side grinders to sand it off not even mentioning this eas going on then blowing it off like no big deal
Led paint blocks internet signals
Why did we get rid of our protection.
I’ve never seen a baby eat paint chips
This sounds like a government paid video
These fellas are bad actors 😂
You can actually be lead deficient. lead is delicious!
@@firewheelfarm7095 plenty of led in my pencil.
@@ernied9190 it's graphite not lead, but apparently @firewheelfarm7095
loves emf.
It just takes a more collective conscious ness to have a societal solution that works with our earths needs.
