Quick question about the example problem you solved - there's a stair riser related code in the IBC and IRC so how do you know which code the question is referencing? I've taken some online courses and none of the practice quizzes or tests seem to make it apparent what code a question is referring to unless it obviously says something like single family house.

I took and passed the course/ exam prep.. then took a practice test from psi exam and they were way different. Guess I find out tomorrow if I'll pass.. been studying my but off..

In a scenario where there is lead paint, but the paint is peeling and therefore needs to be scraped off to be skim coated, is this something that is considered Lead Abatement and therefore cannot be performed by a Certified Renovator or can it be performed but just not labeled as lead abatement?

why not use 'code with commentary'? are we not allowed to bring that one to the exam? sorry, just trying to figure out which one to purchase. My architecture office owns the one with commentary and its pretty helpful

When dealing with LEAD paint a person cannot be Overly cautious. I commend these guys for giving an Example on dealing with this issue. SO MANY homeowners have work done, even the workers themselves and they aren't aware of the Lead paint issue. When I was going to my Apprentice classes in the mid 90s my instructor had said " the next big issue is going to be Plastics ". About 10 years after his comment Plastics have become a Big Concerning issue, probably more so than Lead. Us Americans have become so reliant on Plastics for so many things.
