In a scenario where there is lead paint, but the paint is peeling and therefore needs to be scraped off to be skim coated, is this something that is considered Lead Abatement and therefore cannot be performed by a Certified Renovator or can it be performed but just not labeled as lead abatement?

When dealing with LEAD paint a person cannot be Overly cautious. I commend these guys for giving an Example on dealing with this issue. SO MANY homeowners have work done, even the workers themselves and they aren't aware of the Lead paint issue. When I was going to my Apprentice classes in the mid 90s my instructor had said " the next big issue is going to be Plastics ". About 10 years after his comment Plastics have become a Big Concerning issue, probably more so than Lead. Us Americans have become so reliant on Plastics for so many things. After taking the prep course and watching this video before taking the exam, I was surprised to learn a booklet was going to be provided to me before the exam. In fact, I was asked a question referencing this booklet, I skipped it not knowing what it was referring to. The second time I was asked to reference the booklet, I raised my hand and asked the proctor. He looked surprised, apologized, then returned with a purple booklet. I was 45 min into the exam. Not once was it mentioned in class, or anywhere. If it was I would have asked for the booklet before commencing the exam. I was able to go back to the question I skipped.. however, there was a total of 3, or 4 questions on the exam that needed this booklet provided to answer. I hope this is helpful to someone preparing in MA. Make sure to ask the proctor before starting the exam for the purple booklet required for taking the MA. Unrestricted CSL exam. ✌🏽

Question: Am I allowed to use my IRC book (for the open book test) if it has been highlighted with a highlighter? I don't want to get to my proctored test and have them tell me that I can't use it because it has highlighted text in it. Thanks.
