Tip: if you want a great comfortable wrist band option, buy a workout wrist band “wallet” with a zipper, put the magnetic pendant inside the pocket and zipper it up. Then just use as you would if wearing around your neck and under your shirt. Works great for taking on rollercoasters, walking around and having it handy to just pull off the magnet and use.
@@PocketCams yes. That little wedge helps tremendously for that. It worked perfect when I took it on a ride and had the camera on the inside of my wrist and held my arms up like normal. This camera is great!
Hey newb question, for the cap clip can you film in portrait mode or will it always be in landscape. And for the extendable sticks with a tripod, is it possible to mount it onto a belt mount or back mount? Or does the tripod one not have the thread to attach it? Thanks!
Hi there. The pivot mount that is included with the GO 3 screws off the base to reveal a tripod thread. So, you can screw that only a tripod to provide a stable base. Hope that helps.
Thank you sir, In that case I no need to buy quick release. Just manage the tripod with the go3 screws rather buying quick mount. I feel the small accessory is like 43 euro, too expensive. I want to avoid buying it and use go 3 with selfie stick
Hi Sir. I have one question. The footage at 5:30 . Did you stabilize the footage in any video editing software? Because I have tried similar shots and they come very very jittery. I tried warp stabilizer in Premiere Pro but I am not satisfied with its stabilization. Please provide insights. Thanks.
The quick release mount is just that. It’s quick and easy to release, but can be a bit tricky to mount. It requires pushing down with a good amount of force to first depress the two rubber protrusions that sit beneath the camera. Then maybe a little twisting to get the locking clips to close. And those locking clips do not close with a satisfying click that will tell you you’ve successfully mounted the camera. Instead, you have to look to see that they’ve actually closed, or pull on the camera to check. All this without accidentally turning the camera on. I use the camera quite often on the front of my bicycle. I like to be able to remove it (to record from a different perspective) and return it while riding, but this system makes it dangerous. For the GO2 I have the magnetic holder that works with the GoPro mount. It’s so easy to remove and to return. I’m hoping Insta360 comes up with the same mount. It would be more secure than the GO2 version, owing to the stronger magnet on the GO3
Very helpful indeed. Thank you but I have a problem with the selfie stick. The central column is longer than the tripod legs (unless they are set to narrow angles). I can't find a way of raising it into the body of the selfie stick to allow use of the tripod. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
You need to pull out the selfie stick completely, and that section then comes up. Then push down the selfie stick - not too fast and hard - and it collapses back in but that section at the bottom stays clear of the leg area. You may need to use your thumb to stop that section being pushed back in.
Hi I have a question? Can we use rode wireless pro mics combined with the insta 360 go 3? It does have a usb-c port. Or if we can’t, can we use audio file from rode wireless pro and sync with video file of insta 360 go3? Thanks
Hi. Can’t use external mics with Go 3. Syncing with externally captured audio will depend on the software you use as to whether manual or some kind of auto sync.
hi i just bought my insta360 go 3.. i only have the invisible selfie stick…. how did you attach the go 3 to the extended version of the selfie stick.. i wanted to buy that for a drone like shot… and the backpack clip, can i purchase that on the website?
Just used the pivot mount included with the GO 3 screwed on the end on the extended selfie stick. I have a link to a backpack clip in the description. I bought mine years ago - not sure where
Was thinking this also the hat clip is cheap trash they should of included the quick release mount otherwise the only think you can use is the magnet necklace.
I couldn’t find it on Amazon. But so long as you click through one of my other Amazon links and you can find it through search, I think it still works as an affiliate link. Thank you! V thoughtful.
Ah, the mysteries of technology! It's always interesting to see which features make it into different versions of a product. Maybe the GO4 will have it!

Great idea - though the angle might still be a bit awkward. Will need to experiment!

Do you think the hand/wrist mount would stand being on a roller coaster?
It's pretty stiff - not a personal recommendation, and assuming zero liability here, but it could work - at your own risk!
Hello sir - can I use the tripod to vlog without using Quick release mount ? Or quick release Mount is mandatory to buy to attach in 2 in one tripod ?

No additional stabilisation added
@@PocketCams ok so while shooting itself, you try and make sure there are no jitters by keeping a stable hand.
I can'r recall doing anything special - just usual thing not to do any overly jerky movements @@yatriprasad

All fair points. You do have to take care and watch that the buckles have actually gripped in place.

@@PocketCams Thank you for such a prompt informative reply - from the othe side of the world. Please keep up your good work.
Got it! It is very tight. Now it is a useful bit of kit. Thank you again.
Greetings! Loved your video! Can you post the Amazon link again for the selfie stick? It looks like it’s not the correct link. Thank you!
Let me check - thanks for pointing that out. Have swapped out the link on the video and posting here too: amzn.to/3Zdb2oP

What lens guard would you recommend?
I just use the one supplied by Insta360 already screwed on. I don't ever take it off. Insta360 also sell spares.
Hi can the quick relese mount work with the go 2?
No it can’t.

Don't forget that the invisible self stick is visible when using Go 3
Unless you angle it as I demonstrate in this video
can you try the nd filter and dive case
ND filter possibly in the future. I don’t have dive case.
Thanks for that review! new suscriptor here, Can you provide more info about that location, 5:20 Where is located that Moai ? thanks in advance 🙂
Thanks for the sub! It's here: wellington.govt.nz/recreation/outdoors/parks-and-reserves/city-and-suburban-reserves/dorrie-leslie-park
Great vid! What settings so you use to get your vids so sharp? I find the colours aren't as vivid?
I use vivid setting and set sharpness to medium - that may help quite a lot
is there a head mount?
There's a hat clip that comes with the package. Otherwise you'd need to get a separate one like this (Amazon affiliate link) geni.us/TEi2U
If only the quick release mount was not that expensive
It’s not cheap. I think sale is still on for another day.
The pain on that is it seems to only be from their store. And shipping costs more than the mount unless you spent a lot
Was thinking this also the hat clip is cheap trash they should of included the quick release mount otherwise the only think you can use is the magnet necklace.
I just bought a chinese knockoff quick release mount and its half the price, the only difference is the branding
Links of all please?
all in the description :)

A new model update was announced today via insta360. This breaks the typical two-year new model cycle.
Insta360 certainly seem like they’re up to something …
Lens cap ?
Nope. replaceable lens protectors. I didn't cover basics like that or screen protector here.
Good job thanke you
Welcome 😊
I got this also, I really love it.
Nice!
If only they have a USB-c rechargeable mount for it, it would be so much more useful. For some reason the GO2 has is but not the GO3
