The rubber lens cap is great, as it was on X3 and X3. Nevertheless it CAN scratch the lenses if you place it like you just did in this video. It justvtakes a small grain of sand or a rock or glass dust inside it and "creeeeeeeeeeeeeck!!!!" So... best way to do it is to watch if it is clean BEFORE placing it over the lens (it will not touch the lenses once it is in place, and DO NOT move it over the lens like you did. Just pinch it a bit sideways, while you are moving it over the lenses (either way, placing the cap or removing it) prss it a bit and it will "lift" the ends allowing the rubber to go OVER the lenses and not touching them in the process. Cheers!
Thanks for the information, I had no idea there was a remote available so I’ll be getting that soon. I have several of what you mentioned in addition to I also have the Osmo 4 with mic. Love all your videos 👊🏽💥🫵🏽 Thanks again
Another Excellent Video! Thank you! Do you see any issue with using the Mic Adapter on my motorcycle to power the X4? Seems like it will maintain the waterproof integrity and allow me to power it off of a USB port on my motorcycle with the batter in. What are your thoughts? Thanks!
Great video! Im looking into getting an X4. Was curious what microSD you use or recommend. As I was reading about it theres some people that claim that the Sandisk A2 V30 256 Extreme and Extreme Pro gives a card error with the X4. Others claim Samsung Pro Plus is better with no issues or even the Lexar Professional 1066x. Im so confused. Hoping for youre input on which to get. Thank you in advance
Thank you! I do use the SanDisk Extreme Pro with the X4 and so far no errors or problems. I do make sure that whenever I insert a different microSD card or the card for the first time that I format it before doing any recording.
I cannot speak to the other cards as I have no tried them in the X4, but the SanDisk Pro has worked great. It’s possible those having issues may not have bought the card from a legitimate retailer and the cards may be fakes. That unfortunately has been known to happen.
Hi. My x4 was just arrived and I'm looking for some wireless mic. Till today I thought the Rode wirelles go 2 will be best option but I was sceptic about all accessories I need to connect. Like cold feet, mic adapter and rode reciever. Now I saw on Ur video is possible to connect DJI Mic 2 via Bluetooth with x4. And now my question is... is it works fine, no problem with connection, loosing connection during record etc. ?
A note to the DJI Mic2: The moment the Mic2 detects an active recording session via BT it disables a) internal recording and with it 32bit recording b) internal noise reduction. DJI notes that in the manual on page 22 "[...] When connected to a smartphone via Bluetooth, the standalone recording and noise reduction functions of the transmitter are unavailable [...]" DJI Mic2 handles 3rd party cameras connected via BT as "smartphones". This is with DJI Mic2 firmware v04.04.05.13. The only way to have a secure channel 32bit recording is to use the second Mic2, not connect it to the receiver or X4, have that record to internal memory and use some indicator sounds for later audio sync or sync by wave-line. But besides that, it's still a very useful accessory which I use too.
Thanks for this very helpful information. Yes, for best results I recommend doing internal recording on the Mic 2 and then syncing with the X4 audio later on. This is how I use the Mic 2 with the X4.
I have linked to each in the description below. Many can be purchased on Amazon and any made by Insta360 can be bought on the Insta360 accessories page which I also link to below.
How can i make my x4 work with no battery using the Mic Adapter ? I took off my battery, plugged the mic adapter, took a USB to USBC plugged in the wall and my camera turns on but shuts down a few seconds later.
Great video, thank you. Couple of points that you may or may not know, to my knowledge you can’t have the DJI Mic and the wrist GPS remote working at the same time, happy to be corrected but when I enquired it was a no. The second point is when you connect the DJI Mike 2, there is a slight delay and it doesn’t sink to your mouth movements. Again, if you are find this to be different, please let me know.
4:57 Hi. Im looking forward to buy insta 360 x4 for recording motovlog, But im worried that if its raining and i use external microphone the mic adapter attached will broke the camera because of water. Is it still waterproof when mic adapter is attached ? Thankyouu 😁
Dji mic 2 does not record internally when it's connected to a device via bluetooth....nor does the noise reduction work. I find that to be a but odd since, in my opinion, the Mic 2 transmitter is connected to the Pocket 3 via bluetooth and yet the internal record and noise reduction both work.
That lens cap is great. I HIGHLY recommend it. I was on the fence about it but have no regrets. Plus is affordable. About 5 dollars.
Yes, it’s a great value accessory.

Yes, the remote is a really useful accessory. I think you’ll enjoy having it. Thank you!
Thanks for sharing this. Love to have this when taking video for my vlog.
You’re welcome.

Yes, it work the best
Yes the DJI Mic 2 has worked okay for me when paired with the X4. I’ve not had any issues.

I've seen dudes using the intercom on their helmets connected to the camera to record voice
The case link that you provided is wrong.
It still goes to the correct destination for me when I click it.
It’s not compatible with the X3 and older cameras. 😅
This video is specifically about X4 accessories. Most of these will not be compatible with the X3, though a few can be.
Such a shame they don’t yet support the previous remote or Apple Watch for remote functions ……. I wonder why that is ……..? 🤔 💵 💰
Yes, would be nice to have even more options.
Apple watch is now supported.

Yes, agreed.
