Our Experience Living in Australia as Brits | Working Holiday Visa

Hey guys! In this video, we're chatting about our experience living in Australia in 2019-2020. We got working holiday visas and moved from the UK to Sydney for around half a year (until Covid got involved and pretty much sent us home).
Here are our tips/takeaways from this video:
1. You will need to sort housing once you arrive (unless accomodation is supplied by your employer). We recommend staying in an Airbnb property for at least 2 weeks and dedicating A LOT of time to attending property viewings, especially if you move to a populous city like Sydney!
2. You don't HAVE to have a job lined up before you go out, but this can offer a lot of peace of mind and saves a panic before you get out there, especially if you're planning to travel solo! There's no requirement to have a job at all, but you need to do some form of regional farm work for a set number of days if you want to stay in Aus for your second year.
3. The weather will be different regardless of where you plan to move to because the UK and Australia are on opposite ends of the world! You will probably miss the UK's changing seasons even if you think you hate our winters 😂 But if you move to Sydney, embrace the sun and definitely do Christmas day on Bondi Beach! (Just remember sunscreen)
4. If you love Asian food, it is so much better and more authentic in Sydney. The veggie food is also far better! But (in our opinion) Indian curries aren't as good as they are in the UK 😔
5. Travel as much as you can! Especially travel within Australia while you're living there and everywhere is so much closer. This is something we wish we'd done more of.
6. Save as much money as you can before moving out, especially if you plan to live in Sydney or you're treating this more of a travel/gap year experience! We feel we didn't make the most of the experience because we chose Sydney as our base and the cost of living was so high.
7. Have the BEST TIME! You will love it, and try not to succumb to homesickness, you will always have the UK but this experience in Australia is fleeting so make the most of it!
The invoice should include the following: an invoice number, the dates covered by the invoice, and a summary of the work performed.
