June needed to take heed of poet William Wordsworth's words: "The world is too much with us; late and soon, / Getting and spending, we lay waste our powers; / Little we see in nature that is ours; / ..."
No, I agree with you. I’m 35 but I don’t like any of today’s stuff, I love all the old movies, music, and tv shows, I grew up on this stuff and I still haven’t outgrown it.
In the scene where Ricky is borrowing money from Ozzy is art-imitating life; poor Ricky couldn't live within his means, even with the money his father set aside for both boys.
It is lucky for Dave that his wife was employed at the Playboy Club, because they could have never made it on his meager wages as a lawyer. They would have spent their lives in the dark, being unable to afford lamps, light bulbs, candles or matches to light fires or those Salem cigarettes 27:32 they were so fond of.
Let's see, Ozzie never worked but raised his family in an upper midfle class neighborhood. David works and he and his playmate wife have to stretch their budget by eating at the parental home. Yep, the good "ol days.
Did you SEE that platter of MEAT?!!!

Sorry but in many ways life was much better in the US. I am a little old fashioned I guess. Love the show. Good clean show. So much filth on TV today.

You call that the good old days??!! I am 69, and I wouldn't want to live like that ever . Modern living is better.

He was a lawyer making about $75.00 a week. Lucky for him that his wife worked at the Playboy Club.
I don't like his wife June. She is bossy and selfish and always on the wrong path.
I agree. She is not.much of a house wife. I wonder if she was like that in real life
