John Hill that’s good way to think of it i love your positive John plz keep making videos everytime i watch your videos i want to skate lucky I have friends to who have gifted me with some skate parts so my board is ok but even when I didn’t even had a board I wanted to skate when I watch thank you for Being one of my inspiration to skating
Main reason I subscribed tbh. When it first hit me during a vid with a solid tune I was like: "Whoah, he knows how to edit well." Really appreciate and enjoy the effort he takes in showing his tricks.
I dont skate anymore after a bad injury and medical issues. But just really here to say its people like you that always reminds me of my heavy love for skate culture. Keep doing your thing John and maybe I'll bump into you in the city sometime
Man new york has cool skateparks I've never been out of my town in Morristown Tennessee but if I ever go to New York I'm skateboarding at a lot of those parks and Thu Streets.
@@JohnHill yeah my town is not right when it comes to building skateparks as in we only got one that has no vibe to it at all and it's hard to skate this park but I do thu best with my park as i can, i hope one day i get a good park, I been making plans in my town for later on to make my own park at this abandoned area that has been vacant for years like I skateboard by there all thu time, but ain't it just stupid how skateboarders get treated like every where for skateboarding, like we're having so much fun more than someone that plays basketball and we get treated like crap.
I love how John doesn’t care if people ware thrasher and can’t even ollie. He just doesn’t care that why he’s so awesome he just doesn’t care what people ware as long as there happy. You inspire People to do what they want to do in the world of skate boarding.
4:02 Dude this was amazing. This is art. Cool to see other people watching and appreciating it on the street. I'm not sure why your videos haven't been coming up. I thought I was subbed! its been like..a few years!
John I have to say I very much appreciate how you try to time your clips to the music as best possible, it’s the small touches that make your videos so good to watch ☺️
So I thought you just stopped uploading, turns out TH-cam unsubscribe me from your channel for some reason.. loved this video though, I live in NJ and used to skate alot in NY when I was younger so it was cool to see all those parks again, much love my dude, happy to be subscribed again!
Funny you say that about the bad vibes. Years ago we petitioned the local council to build a park, long ass story short (er), they decided to build it in local council estate village that's rough as fook. Fights hourly, jacking, hard drugs, boosting cars, setting them alight, selling stolen goods, kids doing it all too. The location was a good 15 - 30 mins drive from any other town in the area. We all thought it was put there on purpose to 1) add to the bad rep that skaters got 2) discourage people from skating 3) claim they were doing something for the area in most need. The area where zero people signed the petition. Good one.
Dude the fat kid park is awesome for those of us who can’t olly on bike or board, fat or not, it is a pretty accessible park for the disabled skaters and as well as beginners
@@teddy6491 there's two or three in my town. they're not the best, but one of them is quite good for the area. taken over by scooter kids tho sometimes
@@JohnHill sorry, should have been more direct. I meant bad as in the vibe. I've had a few bad things happen at my park too, but nothing like what you described.
Those stalls and grabs off/on the bench statue thing was really fucking dope! And those lines where he’s filming had a good vibe since you rarely post lines
Hi John, have you ever been to the waterfront in Jersey City on the Hudson? When I was a kid I lived a few years in Jersey City near the "Colgate Clock" area, I used to love the area and catching a train from Exchange Place over to the Island. It is an amazing place because it has better views of lower Manhattan than anyplace. Anyway just thought I'd let you know it exists, it's a little less busy than where you live and really not that far train wise. No skate parks on the water sadly but a few parks are a little in land in the city. Still might be worth doing actual street skating with Manhattan as a back drop. Good place to get B rolll of the city.
they fixed up bower skatepark, it's super smooth and they added an obstacle or two and in my experience it's a really friendly nice spot I would try it again
John I would go back to les and let your skating do the talking. You are so talented dude! Also if you feel like someone is talking trash bring a crew with you. Mad respect for the channel
McClarren has a super steep bank in the back that I want to land some more stuff on. Only been there once but it was really nice. Heard LES gets crowded but I don't know, guess the day I went was super hot weather so it felt spacious. Beautiful park tho. I guess like a lot of spots you have to pick a good time of day to get your session in.😊🙏💋
Damn John I fucking love your videos they make me smile everyday. I really hope you feel happy doing this stuff and are getting paid enough from it. I'll consider buying some merch soon man, keep it up :)
Isn’t weird that John is such a happy joyful person who smiles a lot but he’s kinda surrounded by negativity and aggressive mean people
that's kind of life in general, haha. i will say a lot more positive or indifferent people surround me than the meanies.
Whenever there’s a happy nice and kind person. Negative people start to target them a lot
Absolutely hysterical, nothing else has ever achieved such comedy
welcome to new york 😂

That kid jumping around mimicking John at ~7:00 is super cute
chris rowe are u sure he’s mimicking him
There’s also that kid at 2:45
good eye
did not even notice that!
bet that kid is gonna be a skater when he’s older
I always feel like my stuff is gonna get stolen at LES lol
do you agree with his list at the end?
@@SmiteLax yea i like tribeca, mccarren, and cooper but pier 62 is pretty much all bowls and I suck at transition😂 Never been to that last one he said
@@Timuchee23 thanks man for confirming tribeca does look so goood. Im a brit, gonna probs go in the summer
@@SmiteLax no problem👊 they all get pretty busy depending on the time of day. It looks like john always goes as early as possible
Timuchee I’ve gotten shit stolen there too
0:50 I love how he lands his tricks in sync with the music so satisfying
6:45 he lands em in sync too.
I did not notice that! This is the magic of great video editing 😄
2:45 i love the kid in the background jumping when John dose his trick
Some kid at 7:00 was doing it too
8:35 bruuh, the scooter dude is just chilling backward in the background lol
jon reyes at his finest lol
Title of the video: 3 skateparks I will not go to.
John: goes there.
More like he went there before
Good music in this one and love what you’re saying about getting more innovative and trying different stuff
it's just better for me now
I’m in love with your hustle and because of it, this year I’ve started to produce music again after over 10 years. Keep killin’ it!
Look at the little kid in the background at 7:00. He's trying to be like you =)
So cute 🥺
I love how you time the landings to the beat of the backing tracks; must be a pain sometimes, really makes a difference.

John: I’ve been to almost every park NYC has to offer
The Bronx: am I joke to you?!😭😭🤧
He went to 157 though lol
OneSource yeah I know, but the Bronx has other parks like 52, allerton, and oval which are pretty fun even though 52 and allerton are pretty small
Giovanni Gonzalez you took the words from my mouth
These comments are so annoying
But still u did a good gob of it
0:40 Now that is good editing. Every trick landed on-beat
TheHuskyK9 oh damn you’re right
No one:
Not a single soul:
John Hill: “Fat kids skatepark”
I feel attacked
Kiara Sawyer thats the local name of the park so don’t think he’s targeting them

Die format, die

hahaha hell yeah
Down to skate someday John hill?
"I have at least 30 skateparks in my city"
In my entire COUNTRY there's only around 5 :((

Been watching John since like 2016 and honestly hes always been putting out the same solid vibes
i love how his music lines up with the skating
Love how at the beginning of the clips, it syncs with the music when doing the tricks

Those skatepark videos are so nice to watch 💕
John there’s a small fun skatepark I go 2 called 52 playground its literally just a ride on the 6 train to 149. Clean park and not sketch

It’s by a middle so no. Use to go there.
At my local park there's been like three shootings and someone drove a minivan into the bowl
