- Played on PAL PS3 Fat (CECHH04), with DualShock 3.
Game is MGS HD Collection, PAL disc version, software version 1.00 (no update).
NG++ (3rd round), no game over on sight. The loading trick* was used up to the sniper segment with Emma.
Played live on / mgslade .
Some stupid mistakes as usual but the run was smooth overall, I'm happy with it. Also, thanks Strafe ;)

Crushed it also how come when you were in boss battles you would peek and turn and not get hit also when you were swimming was that a glitch and why didnt vamp or why wasnt he able to hit you you sir are a legend back in the day i was good and recently got back into gaming been about ten years ha

@@Stefanoabed05 this is a no save run so there's nothing to reload. If he fucks up then he has to start over. That said lot's of people speedrun and have to reset constantly and their reactions probably about a 3-6.

I would think that would count as a kill but at the end it says zero killed.
No because he never killed him, it counts as zero kills because the guard died due to water not raiden

Even though i've played through this game countless times, I think it's safe to say that my skills are pale in comparison to yours. But I'm still proud to be able to say that I'm better than you at calling elevators x)

I remember spending so much time in every room to discover the easter eggs and see all the details they put into this awesome game. But pretty cool how fast you can go through it too.

When you fell on the stairs right before shooting the Nikita at the generator got a genuine emotional reaction out of me.
Your shooting during the guard rush on the tanker was fucking ace dude. Really was a pleasure to see it played that way.

Great run. I've been running this game lately but I can't even crack 2 hours.. My pb is 2:11:07 with the slowest first generation ps2 lol. Them load times..

I've played this game more than any other I have ever owned and this is great. I did a speed run and you beat me by an hour. How did you skip the Stillman cutscene where he shows you the bomb?

On any version of the game that has a 16:9 aspect ratio, the hitbox for the Marines logo can be hit from places it shouldn't be able to.

have to say, i've gotten the wigs/bandannas but i could never get past the Ray fight on Extreme. I used a similar 'choreography' in the fight that you did (knee/ mouth/predict etc) but could not carry it off the way you did. Some cool tricks insofar as the 'freezing' multiple people and simply running. Anyway+1
You’ll notice the patterns like if they are frozen for more than 3 seconds it’s either a reset or they’re fixing to shoot missles
But easiest way to play is to shoot and move. Shoot and move.

I remember my run through European Extreme with game ends if spotted. It was horribly frustrating, but I'm glad I've managed to beat it.
Raiden dodging Fortune was amazing. Guess it makes sense since Raiden is a thunder god.

He had been using the Sensor A to detect bombs. He selected the box so he could quickly reselect it instead of the Sensor.

You completed the game fast than it took me to learn the controls.
Interesting fact: The character' Fat Man' is named as such and obsessed with bombs because on August 8th 1945 the United States dropped a 22 kiloton bomb named 'FATMAN' on Nagasaki Japan in real life. True story.

Not mgs5. They finally created an mgs game it’s gameplay over cutscenes.
It’s like Raiden needed to be somewhere else in an hour
I like to believe that this kind of play is canonically how the games happen, especially because with the level of not giving a shit snake and (atleast in the games after this) raiden have about the actual challenge of the enemies or situation besides maybe a time crunch outside their control.
Same with other series with impossibly badass people. I.e. doom, halo, etc

At the end when it's write "code name : Big Boss" , if you look good the picture , you can see Venom Snake from MGSV:The Phantom Pain !! He have a Shrapnel in the side of his head ! (sorry for my bad english)
no he doesnt, it just look like ass and thats why you see it as if there would be a sharpnel, which cant be there since, lets say i believe that venom snake existed and its not a filler in the metal gear universe, in mg2 he doesnt have a shrapnel in his head

In Metal Gear Solid games usually the only thing that counts as kills are if you are the sole responsable of it or you put the bullet directly, so exploding barrels, knocking out of a bridge, pushing into barbed wires are all I guess you could say "enviroment assisted" to put it some way, so its not counted as your own kill.
In MGS3 you can kill by poisoninh enemies and that won't count.
In MGSPW you can CQC throw someone over a ledge 2 feet high and kill, won't count.
I did a speed-run of this back in 2003 and clocked in at 1:10:00 but on a lower difficulty (normal I think). I wish I would have recorded that. Great run dude.

For casual Big Boss runs maybe. For speedruns, I'd say MGS2 is the easiest, MGS4 the hardest.

MGSlade I still fail there 😅 It's just my hand beginn to cramp and then I die. But it's easier than the ps2 that's right, I noticed that in hard mode
MGSlade Its strange in my game Solidus choke me around 50 seconds. Here I counted exactly 20 seconds of torture which is much more less.
