    It doesn't bother me being called a house wife. Someone's got to hold down the house and take care of the kids. It's just a reality and nothing to be ashamed of.

    Girl I had to pause the video to note this, I am literally in the same boat and reasoning as you as to why my fiancé and I are getting married. I’ve had so many struggles & battles during our relationship. I’ve had cancer, went through school (I’ll be in my last semester while he’s at basic), we’ve lived longish distance for the majority of our relationship. While 99% of the people who we told we’re getting married to support us, there’s 2 people in particular that are shocked & think it’s being rushed & think it’s just because he’s going into the military... and I know others probably think the same. But truth is, we’ve been together for four & a half years, and in being longish distance we still saw each other at least 2 days a week minimum the past four and a half years. Now we’re living together until he goes to basic, but ultimately there’s nothing more that I want than to support him in what he wants to do for his life! He supported me through everything I’ve been through and I just want to do the same! Point being when you said you had been dating your husband as long as I’ve been with my fiancé, I was so happy. I knew I wasn’t crazy. But hearing all these stories had me worried. Thank you times 1000!! This helped so much.

    I think its really funny when people say you marry your spouse for the benefits , sure your husband gets good money sometimes but he could also be getting shot at or kidnapped every other minute .

    I also really like that you gave credit to us mommas. I'm 23 , have two babies and let me tell you girl IT IS SO HARD. especially when were away from family. My husband and I had our first daughter at 16, and our second baby at 22. He's currently TDY , I'm in school and I'm working and there are nights were I cry myself to sleep because of how hard it is to do it and to feel like our efforts go unnoticed. So thank you so much for such kind words ! You're going to do amazing on this platform !

      Maria Robertson I’ve learned the greatest jobs are the ones that go unnoticed! Keep pushing through ❤️ your babies will thank you once their old enough and you’ll be happy you went through everything that you’re going through now! I couldn’t imagine!

      Maria Robertson And here I thought I had it bad. I only have one kid (recently turned 10 months) and there are days where I’m at my wits end due to working full time and dealing with day to day stuff plus the baby. But María, you are doing the damn thing! Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. Keep it up! 💜💜💜💜

    I feel like military wive stereotypes have become the bud of a joke. There’s plenty of videos here on YT that showcase that and although that may be the case for some, majority of the time it’s not true. It’s really annoying and upsetting because majority of the time these wives or “dependas” as many people refer to us, give up their careers and life in order to be with their husbands and support them in their dreams. And like you said, the military wives that stay at home and raise their kids, kuddos to them cause it’s difficult. And sometimes it’s not feasible to have both parents working when the income will solely go to day care.

      Michelle RERICHA I thought so too. So many MilSos get called that, including myself. And it’s annoying.

      I totally agree with you!! I had given up my well settled IT marketing career back home in India, Bangalore and moved to Germany due to marriage and now in UK as military spouse 💁😋 And that made me get into making TH-cam Videos now capturing our life abroad, home vlogs, garden, cooking etc

    I've been following you on instagram and oh my, YOU'RE SO PRETTY!
    You forgot about one, I've heard that some wives act sooo on top just because of they're husband ranks!
    You're making me want to start a youtube but I'm scared of what people would say!

    • @wisdomnova4317
      @wisdomnova4317 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Frida Aguilar Yes girl! I’ve experienced that as well! There’s been many of them who’ve acted this way and it feels so uncomfortable and out of the norm lol and the reason why I say that is because we are all in this together. I don’t know why they think they are more superior if that’s their husbands rank not theirs.

    • @brigettautai5537
      @brigettautai5537 5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Just stumbled upon this channel & there’s so much truth to this video. But I’m dying over this comment because I’ve seen so many wives that “wear their husband’s rank.” So far to where they try and demand a salute at the gate. As a fellow milso, I know the sacrifice we go through, but their rank is their identity, no ours.

    I’m in the same boat. My boyfriend and I are still in a dating relationship and we have had a long distance relationship. It was hard. Went through a deployment with him and that was hard. Now he’s closer to me now so we are going to try to spend as much time as we can to build up our relationship through the Lord. We support each other for sure. Hopefully he will be able to come to church with me soon. He wants to, so that’s very encouraging. Thank you for this video. I’m not marrying him for benefits because we have been in a relationship since 2019. Over the years we’ve come to love each other.

    The biggest reason or "benefit" I'm marrying my fiance who is enlisting soon for is so I can move in with him to see him more HOPEFULLY after basic. Anything else is a plus but not a concern of mine. If there were 0 pluses to marrying him before he leaves, I'd still marry him if it meant I got to live with him sooner. Hell even if I didn't get to move in with him sooner, I just really wanna be his wife, and I've wanted to marry him so badly even before he started talking about joining the military, and maybe I'm wrong but I feel like that's one of the biggest reasons why people get married earlier than planned before their spouse heads off to basic
