That is exactly how much weight that term has behind it.
This is definitely the funniest way to kill bosses I've ever seen in speedrunning. Despawning the arena so that the boss falls into the void is certainly unique.
You should see Xenoblade Chronicles 2 where the boss creates a hole in a cutscene when entering the scene to attack the party in which the quick kill strat is to knock the boss down back into the hole it came from
Yep . But seriously, everyone knows that to be greatness at speed runs and have any chance at getting close to a record in any category your not allowed to modify game files in takes about the same amount of time it takes to learn a second language .
Hey tomato. I doubt you’ll see this, but I just wanted to thank you for your mid video messages. As stupid as it feels to admit; over the last about year and a half your videos, more specifically your little 1-2 minute messages halfway through them, have seemed to always come out at just the right time to stop me from doing something stupid. I swear to god every time I seemed to be at my lowest you’d drop a new video. Your messages about tomorrow coming and feelings being temporary, as well as your content in general, have helped me pull myself out of some pretty dark places. Watching your content now, after not having those thoughts in a long time, always makes me feel like you deserve a thank you. So as weird and stupid as I feel making this public, I just wanted to say thank you. Don’t stop doing what you’re doing. You’re an amazing creator.
What you’re saying isn’t stupid man. I’m just some random guy but I’m glad you found the strength to keep going and that TA’s messages helped you. The sun always rises again !
I'm a big fan of this new format of doing the run specifically for this channel. Not having to watch a million loading screens is an absolute blessing.
Plus there's an opportunity for the runner to intentionally do something suboptimal for educational purposes, like to demonstrate how a trick might fail or to show safer strats.
Are you referring to him featuring both vids ? Hes really way too far in the red in terms of people using social media attention span and or free time. 48:50 is overkill . You could commentate the run or let speed runner do it while it is in play with a summary statement at the end and keep it under 35 minutes . If you asked a question that could only be answered if you had watched to damn near the end, what percentage of your viewers would get it right ? Me personally ...I think 10% would be fantastic but I'd realistically be happy if anyone got it right.
@@matthewshafer9545 There's a reason lots of creators make long form content. It makes a ton of money compared to shorter videos. Guys like Joseph Anderson or Hbomberguy have a whole career off of putting out 3+ hr long videos. Yes your viewer retention isn't very high but once youre 10-15 min in a video the retention doesn't drop off that much, since if you're willing to invest 15 minutes into a video you're probably there for the long haul anyway. Personally idk if I've ever stopped watching any youtube video after 20-30 min into it unless it was an 8 hour live stream or something.
@@matthewshafer9545 ah yeah. Let's just keep doing that. We come to TH-cam to get that legacy media feel. Man I want every TH-cam video to feel like an episode of full house where I laugh, cry and learn a little something too.
Fall damage is actually 100% based on fall height, with falls over 15 meters dealing damage and anything over 20 meters being instant death. The reason zips work is because you land above the height you began the zip, meaning the game doesn’t actually think you fell because it just compares the Y value from where you left the ground to where you land. If you fall for around 10-11 seconds the game will instakill you as a fail safe for falling out of the map, but the timer can be reset with an attack.
Correct, that's my understanding as well. The height of 16 units as start of damage and 20 units for death have been known pretty early after the game came out.
@@kicks4439 you can actually see a couple places where the zip is only a fraction of a second but still causes fall damage, disproving the clock idea. For example 43:33
Great video as always Mr anus! A few quick corrections from my perspective as another Elden Ring speedrunner: 1. "Skipping" Stormveil Castle is actually entirely intended by the developers, there's a little path you can take from the broken bridge, the jump that seeker does at 9:00 is just a faster way to accomplish the intended route of just walking around the castle. 2. Seeker keeps a very wide berth at 19:40 not only to avoid clipping the wall, but also to avoid loading the area in early. If you avoid the wall, but then stay left, you will load the elevator in early and it will move too far before you're able to jump down, so you'll miss the elevator and fall to your death. But if you keep right and load it late, you land safely. 3. Any% Unrestricted is run on 1.04 which is actually NOT the current patch of the game. The current patch is 1.05, and it isn't used because they patched it so that you can't reset your fall timer by swinging your weapon, you will instead just die very quickly, before the bosses have a chance to die. 4. Fall damage is more complicated than the explanation that you gave, but the explanation you gave is close enough. If you are falling without ever touching the ground, it works almost exactly as you described, and after a certain time you will die. The time is extended if you are above your starting height, but it isn't infinite, and you can die before ever getting back down to your original height. However, if you land, it completely ignores the fall timer, and instead looks at fall distance. It compares the place you last touched the ground, to where you finally land, regardless of how high up into the air you went. So if you get launched a mile into the air, but land at the same height you started at, you take no fall damage. This is very similar to what you said, but the distance is the important thing and not the time. This can also get a bit wonky with stable ground, and it can cause falls that should be survivable, to suddenly become fatal if the game doesn't recognize some of the ground you stood on as stable ground. 5. Using Alt-f4 is only allowed in the unrestricted run, that's why it isn't used in the restricted Any% run, even though it could potentially save some time. And when he does the wrong warp at 43:10 , it actually works the same way as the one in the restricted run, putting us out of bounds, because the default memory of grace location is back in the "tutorial" area near Soldier of Godrick, and the default location for that area is out of bounds. We just don't have a warp point to warp to, and instead the alt-f4 forces a wrong warp even without using our map. The alt-f4 then also acts as the quitout after going out of bounds, combining both halves of the wrong warp into just one input. 6. While doing the mega zips to kill both phases of Maliketh, Seeker doesn't actually need to "wait" until he passes his initial starting height, the game simply won't let you swing your weapon if you are too far above your starting height. So he can spam the button, and the swing will only happen right before he gets there, giving plenty of time for Maliketh to fall without having to worry about swinging too late. 7. At 46:12 , that is the Godfrey arena not Godrick. (Sorry for nitpicking, the names all just sound the same lol)
Incredible video, as always. One thing i wanted to point out is that 8:54 you mention the stormveil jump and i just wanted to mention that though the jump is unintended you can actually get to that route without the jump (by going to the edge of the bridge to the right and dropping down) the jump is just significantly faster.
part of me feels like i had to watch some speedrunning today just so i could hear that too, i believe time will heal our wounds and hope to see you thriving in the future
I love your lighthearted insertions like at 19:00 I always smile when I hear you spread some love over the recent speedrun recaps I've seen from you. Hope your day is going well tomato :3
personally i just enjoy speedruns being explained and examined. but your little moments of personal inspiration throughout the video actually lent a warm feeling to the whole thing. i mean i personally am going through a rough time, even unexpected encouragement from someone ive never heard of before, kinda helps. so thanks for the great video, and keeping my spirits up.
I've been watching your videos for years now. The mental health messages used to mean a lot to me and although I'm in a much better place now I still appreciate them and hope that other viewers find them as meaningful as I did.
9:04 The jump itself is probably not intended, but by no means is it required to skip Godrick and Stormveil Castle. In actuality there is a whole hidden sidepath there that you can use to skip all of Stormveil, no crazy skips required. That jump at 9:04 saves somewhere around 10-20 seconds probably.
@@dorkmoonblade4315 She definitely hints at the shortcut, i don't remember the specific quotes but she says "but why should that matter" about the broken bridge
Just wanted to say you have some of my favourite content on all of TH-cam. Also just interacting to help your channel with the algorithm. Love these speedrun route explanation! And really appreciate the breaks you take to remind people life is worth living.
Correction: in Elden Ring fall damage is based on distance fallen, with damage starting at 16 meters and a fall being lethal at 20 meters. The reason why zips won't kill you is that the distance fallen is calculated from the point at which you begin falling, which is where you start the zip. Because where you're landing is above the starting point, you will take no fall damage. The only fall timer in Elden Ring is if you have been falling for 30 seconds the game instakills you to avoid getting stuck falling endlessly.
I came here to comment exactly this. There's a great video that explains this in great detail, using debugging tools to test all the possible configurations of falling. The even test forcing the player to stay stuck in the air for a long time, then landing. As long as the point you started from is less than 20m higher than the point you land, you don't die, even if you've been in the air for much longer than a few seconds.
@@alexlowe2054 illusionary wall for the square . I thought it was 16 - 20 + meters in height for damage . 20 meters being death and 16 being -25% hp . Total hp does not matter fall damage occurring in 25% increments of your total beginning at 16 . I'm pretty sure you just noted the height death occurred .
@@matthewshafer9545 Yup, illusory wall made two videos going into insane detail on fall damage in Elden Ring. Here's his first video: th-cam.com/video/Fm-QA4rZPYk/w-d-xo.html He goes into great detail about all the specifics, but I didn't consider it super important for my comment. The most important part is that fall damage has nothing to do with how long you fall, and everything to do with how *far* you fall. It's a big misconception, since there's also an additional timer that will kill you if you're stuck floating for an extended time. But that's unrelated to fall damage. You only die if you're landing more than 20m below where your original height was. I'm sure the people routing Elden Ring know that, but not everyone making videos about speedruns knows that piece of trivia.
Thanks for always giving the positive affirmations every vid, I’m thankful I’ve never really needed them but I know there’s people for whom it makes all the difference.
I already loved your videos, your humor and delivery are great…but your mental health message really made me love YOU as a creator. Keep it up, bro. That’s a very important message and I’m very proud of you for saying it.
I know there are people complaining about your repeating mental health messages, i haven't watched your channel for a while and when I first heard this part in a video of yours i actually had to cry because i was in a dark place and your words just hit me. So no matter how annoyed some people get, i think it's a beautiful thing that you take the time to say that stuff, thank you Anus!
I really appreciate the mid video messages. I had a friend take his own life a couple months ago and it was a huge gut punch. If even one person is helped by those then you’ve done a huge service to them and the people that care about them. Thank you.
I love that not only do you make amazing content but you give us support in our own lives. I’ve struggled with depression. And still do pretty bad sometimes along with some other issues and it such a relief hearing you say what you say.
18:47 I really appreciate these short moments you put in your videos. Even though I know you put them in, they still catch me off guard every time and it's a really nice thing to hear sometimes. Hope you're doing well too! 💛
Not gonna lie, at first I was like “why is this video so long for a 5 min speed run?” But I stuck through it, got motivated and realized that everything that was shown had a purpose. This was an amazing video.
I had always thought that things happen for a reason, I have been playing elden ring more than usual these days and these last days I have been really down and well to make me feel better I was playing watching videos too about how to get weapons from weapons I went to spells from spells to crazy stuff players did from that last video to speed runs from speed runs I started looking how speed runners do those glitches and from all the videos I ended up watching this one God I am glad I did, this is the first time I watch one of this guys videos, and besides being entertaining and really explanatory it was also really helpful emotionally. I saw that other people is feeling like me but honestly this is really amazing that how from one video that I wasn't looking for emotional support changed a lot, u said the words that not all people tell the people who is not feeling well I thank you for that. I see that you have a good community who is grateful for ur videos please keep making these videos. Thank you.
Just wanted to say, you always look out for us, but you have value bud, beyond speed runs and jokes. You give us a break from the real world and remind us to keep our head up. You're the man and we love you.
Wow. I don't normally drop in much on bigger channels, but when you just started talking about mental health 18 minutes in, being real vulnerable and reaching out to people like that... Thank you dude. That's how you use a platform. I bet that helps a lot of people and you are a badass for doing it.
REALLY needed that mental health check in after this past week. Thank you so so much for every time you do them. Also thank you for doing this game. Favorite FromSoft game besides Sekiro.
I literally watched this video for 3 reasons only. 1. To learn some stuff about elden ring. 2. To support the chanel. 3. For the "hope you're doing well" speech... I really needed to hear it..
At 42:15 I'm pretty sure the reason why you fly backwards instead of forwards during this megazip is because in most games, when you collide with an object, they game doesn't just say "STOP" and set your speed to zero. It's pretty frequent in games for collision to work on walls by actively pushing your character *away* to reduce clipping or becoming stuck inside whatever you're touching, so I am assuming that because your character is going *so* fast, the game freaks out and sets this value to push you back to an absurdly high amount. Just guessing though, I have no idea how From Software's physics engine behaves.
Dude. Your videos are so great and relaxing. Thank you for them. Also. The "I hope you're okay" bit always manages to hit me right in the heart. Thank you for that as well! Hope you're okay as well! 🥰
I didn't even know about that L thing until you mentioned it! That's sick. I always use left/right arrows to advance 5s, but now I have access to J and L to move 10! Amazing runs by Seeker and amazing commentary by my favourite speed run guy :)
Tomato I cannot thank you enough for you "no feeling is final" bit of your videos, while I might not care much for the games that get shown I always know I get to see you're skill at writing and an increadible display of skill on the part of the runners. Youre mental pep talks are super helpful, lots of bad thoughts stuck in my head but youre talks among others help me make the dark times in my mind a bit brighter. Thank you and I hope you're doing ok
"Mormon first base". I have heard many a Mormon joke during my life. Many are overplayed and I have heard many times so it's not too often I hear a new one. But that, that one was a first and it got me good. Bravo sir!
Wow, thank you for the small speech near the 19min mark, as someone whom have struggled with depression, it really helped to hear someone actually take time out of their project and say those words, instead of just "saying them and be done", you actually care, thank you
2 things I want to correct, as many others have said but I just wanted to get them in one comment for ease; 1) The Stormveil Castle skip is 100% intended, normally you just go left and follow the path instead of jumping the ledge in order to get to Liurnia of the Lakes. 2) Fall damage in Elden Ring is based on how far you fall, measured in the in-game units of measure, which is roughly 1-to-1 equal to a meter. Once you fall for 16 units of measure you will start to take fall damage as a percentage of your maximum health, and if you fall 20 units of measure you will instantly die when you land. The game also takes note of the Y-Value you where at when you left the ground, to start counting units of measure (Torrents double jump and jumping in general do increase your initial Y-Value as well but I'm not 100% sure on how the game calculates it). And the game has a failsafe such as that if you fall for ~12 seconds the game will autokill you. However, this timer can be reset by doing certain animations such as attacking.
This is my favorite resource for learning the elden ring any%, I always send people this video when they start out because it’s so useful for general pathing and most glitches used in the any% run. It doesn’t teach you necessarily how to do the glitches, but it introduces everything you need to know and with a little help from the discord and extra research, it makes learning the run so much easier. This was the first thing I used and I’m currently top 15 any% (restricted) with about a minute I could easily save (lack of willpower to actually do it though). Thanks tomatoanus and seeker, I could not have done it without this video. Edit: I'm now 14th any% and have surpassed seeker
Hey, tomatoanus, I know you give us all well wishes, but I think it's time to give you some well wishes in return! I hope you have a very wonderful day, and that you take time to find the little things in life. I hope the little things in life bring you joy and peace.
I always appreciate the pep talks mid video. Even though I’m not struggling with depression anymore it was really nice to hear when I needed it, and I still look forward to them each video 🙏
Cant put it into words how much i appreciate and respect u taking time EVERY video to give us some good words along our way. ALWAYS cheers Me up and i actually think about this whenever I'm down. Thanks so much man you don't know how important this can be. Much love from me to you man
This is such a well produced video. Thank you for all the humor and honestly all the editing which is all the difference in bland vs exciting. Your explanations are also so easy to understand, I'm just impressed. Thank you
Its 8-9 months after you released this video but, that 25 second slip in the middle of load times was amazing and I thank you for it. I love watching random videos at night (like vlogs, commentary, music, gaming etc.) but that section made me retake and listen to it again because even if all of us game, most of us have personal issues and just need a reminder to appreciate life. Thank you random TH-camr, i know its not lots you but you have a new sub!
I’m going through a lot right now with work and finances and body image issues, and that random heart to heart in the middle of the video nearly made me cry dude. I really needed to hear that.
It's crazy how the speedrunners all come together to pull apart a game once something like that zip is found. The amount of in depth knowledge required to map out and plan those zips is ridiculous.
That mid video message, I really needed that. I had a stroke 2yrs ago and nobody knows what it feels like. I tried go to a therapist but they just don’t get it and I know they are just trying understand what I’m going through but idk. I’m just rambling. I needed that. Thank you. I mean that.
Bro thank you for covering the speed runs in such detail. I had no clue what was going on when I watched it. Definitely gotta watch more speed runs on your channel. The commentary is top notch.
My life has been falling apart and the past few days have been really hard. Your mental health message really helped me out and got me in a better mood. Thank you.
The people that say "TA's mid video messages are cringe" are clearly either < 15 yo that have never had tough times in their life (yet) or just in general people that haven't gone through related things. Similar to how a person can't relate with a love song if they aren't in love. Those messages are really helpful for a lot of us TA and please never stop doing them ❤
this is a year old video and i know u wont see this but your mid video message helped me extremely, its 5am and ive been struggling just trying to watch youtube to distract me. and ur message really gave me a healthier perspective of what im going thru right now.
Tomato, That little insert about not being your thoughts was a subtle inserts that should not be overlooked and meant the world to someone who has these thoughts regularly. It’s nice to hear it from someone else so thank you, and thank you for the great commentary per usual!
Seeker choosing not to do the animation "skip" quit outs for the demonstration really strengthens my opinion that the game should switch to RTA or do something else to mitigate these. Going slower to make the timer seem faster is one of my biggest pet peeves with speedruns
The reason they use in-game time isn't so they can go faster by quitting out. They use in-game time so that the run isn't hardware dependent, since the game time doesn't tick during load screens. It just so happens that it's also faster according to in-game time to quit out instead of waiting for doors to open. Since it's technically faster, that's how they do it. Since quitting out to reset enemy aggro, reset the state of the world, return to default spawn points through exploits, and even to skip animations is a feature of the game, it makes sense to allow it in a speedrun. Banning the practice of quitting to menu at all would drastically alter the run itself, and only banning its use to skip animations is arbitrary as heck. I guess you could try to make a "No-Quit-Out%" category, though there's a reason that's not already a thing.
@@CrashTestCollin I'm aware of why they don't use in game time, but imo it would be better to have load times be hardware dependent, or instead of having load times auto pause timing, have them pause but add some amount of time to the timer, perhaps whatever the fastest hardware available achieves for its load times. Having no punishment for quit out leads to horrendous abuse of the timer which makes for a speedrun thats agonizing to watch, and seems annoying as hell for runners as well. Theres a reason they skipped many quit outs for this video, they're annoying and everyone knows it, and i don't think we should be shrugging it off like we've already come to the best solution
@@papabaddad Well it's never good to assume that you've come to the best solution in any situation. There will likely always exist better solutions. I'm explaining why your solutions are worse than the current ones. Timing with RTA makes the top of the leaderboards inaccessible to all but those with access to the highest performance hardware. This is why the restricted and unrestricted categories are separated to begin with. The unrestricted run exists because it is so much faster than a run that doesn't use the zip glitch. However, since it requires certain hardware, other Any% categories exist that more people can participate in. An RTA-based category would be similarly restrictive but without actually changing the run at all aside from removing some quit-outs (not all of them). Your other suggestion basically just sounds like using in-game time but with extra steps to avoid some of (again, not all of) the quit-outs that are used during runs. You can try to create another category for runs like that if you want, but I don't see it being very popular.
Dude I'm amazed at the quality and the effort put in to this video, including the "press L to skip to the unrestricted run" tip, which was simply amazing. You have definitely earned a sub, and when I get my first paycheck which is due soon you shall get another patreon supporter as well !
I was just thinking that I hadn't seen a tomatoanus video in a while. Great job as always, Tomato. I'd been watching the development of the unrestricted run after ER came out and it was crazy to see the times drop as quick as they did.
Thank you for doing any% runs in your videos. I'm in the minority but I've always loved, and been fascinated by glitches in games and the crazier a Speedrun is, the more likely I'll be interested in watching it. I love doing glitches and skips in my games and enjoy watching the advanced ones on TH-cam
I love the fact that quit outs make a run that is 57 minutes take 1 hour and 10 in this game’s any% glitch-less. Makes watching From Soft speed runs exceedingly tedious?
jeeze, the fact that anyone can find a glitch like the zips are just insane - and the whole frame thing - sheesh. How does one even figure things like that out? brilliant - and thanks T.Anus
One person gets shot across the map randomly and dies, posts a video on some forum where it maybe gets shared to other forums. Then a team of trained scientists analyze the footage, replicate it in a lab, perform experiments to collect data, and eventually publish their findings to be circulated throughout the speedrunning community all so we can see somebody get the credits to roll as quickly as possible. Human ingenuity at its finest.
@@AaronBish No, but we can count time kinda well. The reason the zip glitch is hardware dependent is that it's way easier to count frames if the framerate is consistent at 60 fps. Even if it is, you still have to get really good at timing it out by muscle memory which is even more stressful when you have a large dog-man marching toward you. You'll see even in runs that are high on the leaderboards that they tend to make multiple attempts at each zip because it is such a tight timing window and because even with a good PC the framerate can still dip and losing even a few frames will throw off the timing.
I come from a long line of suiciders and I just lost my best friend and brother not long ago. It means a lot to me personally that you put the mental health PSA in each of your videos. WTF was the mid-video motivational message. It was kinda awesome. It's a great habit to keep in all your videos, and even a far greater one if you manage to decrease the probability of its repetitivenes or predictability to zero.
just a little clarification: you don't need to do the "unintended jump" at 9:00 to skip stormveil castle. you can go there normally but this jump shortens the route a bit which saves time
Really enjoying your speedrun explainers while I work. I've been obsessed with elden ring for a good month now and while I've been trying to beat the base game as fast as possible, I'm already nearly 50 hours in. Probably not the best choice for my first serious game.
additionally, the feeling with which you speak to your audience when talking about mental health is admirable. not always the same thing, not a segue into a betterhelp shill, but real sympathy and encouragement.
18:43 to 19:25 Did me a really big favor. I'm packing frantically for a flight to a wedding I'm afraid to go to. I'm more than unnerved but I'm holding on hope it might go okay.
I agree with Wet Meme Daddy
That, I can relate. I'm joining you in thanking tomato.
I didn't think there would be a time in my life where I needed to hear his message, but boy did it help me this time.
Thank you for sharing this, I’m happy Wet Meme Daddy also agrees that you should have shared this. He’s my dad
@@noThankyou-g5c i know that . I'm just saying if you want people to watch all of it the magic number is 22 minutes . Ask every sitcom.

Agree, it is height based, not a timer.
Just the difference between 10% damage and death is a couple meters.
damn, so the speedrunner is wrong on this one
@@kicks4439 you can actually see a couple places where the zip is only a fraction of a second but still causes fall damage, disproving the clock idea. For example 43:33
i see you aswell watched the illusory wall video :D
You may not be able to do that jump specifically, but you are definitely intended to be able to use that path to skip Stormveil Castle.
I skipped it by accident my first playthrough because i was exploring
Yeah I was thinking the same thing, the bridge absolutely leads to this area without any effort required
@@almostmeek Same, I also discovered it by exploring, but after I reached the next area I went back to do the castle before going there.
@@almostmeek Same, it's not hidden or difficult to access at all. It's a very deliberate path.
Interesting how much work and beta testing mustve been done to polish this game
Great video as always Mr anus! A few quick corrections from my perspective as another Elden Ring speedrunner:
These are some top tier points to add to this video. Thank you.
I ain't reading allat nerd.
You can thank GRRM for the cast of this game sounding like a soap opera.
Incredible video, as always. One thing i wanted to point out is that 8:54 you mention the stormveil jump and i just wanted to mention that though the jump is unintended you can actually get to that route without the jump (by going to the edge of the bridge to the right and dropping down) the jump is just significantly faster.
beat me to the punch. I just made a comment saying exactly this.
skipping Margit/Godrick is intended since if you beat Margot in the Capital Margit won't even spawn at the gates.
yes, it's a fully intended route to skip stormveil, the jump done in the speedrun is an unintended shortcut
Yeah I was about to say this too. Skipping Godrick on the way to Liurnia isn't anything special lmao
@@naka3339 Gotta beat Demi-Human Queen Margot yes

I've been watching your videos for years now. The mental health messages used to mean a lot to me and although I'm in a much better place now I still appreciate them and hope that other viewers find them as meaningful as I did.
9:04 The jump itself is probably not intended, but by no means is it required to skip Godrick and Stormveil Castle. In actuality there is a whole hidden sidepath there that you can use to skip all of Stormveil, no crazy skips required. That jump at 9:04 saves somewhere around 10-20 seconds probably.
The old hag npc on the broken bridge outside the castle even tells you about the shortcut
@@skandal6703 Actually she doesn't. She tells you that the bridge cannot be crossed and the only path is through Stormveil Castle which is wrong.
@@dorkmoonblade4315 She definitely hints at the shortcut, i don't remember the specific quotes but she says "but why should that matter" about the broken bridge

So 47ft is no damage, but 60 is death regardless of total hp . Then you lose 8.33% hp per foot beginning at 48ft ....that seems legit .
Here's his first video: th-cam.com/video/Fm-QA4rZPYk/w-d-xo.html
He goes into great detail about all the specifics, but I didn't consider it super important for my comment.

Dawg your little excerpts about how no feeling is final etc etc always catch me off guard and always happen when I need them the most, thank you
At 42:15 I'm pretty sure the reason why you fly backwards instead of forwards during this megazip is because in most games, when you collide with an object, they game doesn't just say "STOP" and set your speed to zero.
47:05: Sure, you broke the world badly enough that several bosses fell into the cthonic void beneath, but _you_ didn't kill anyone.

Wow, thank you for the small speech near the 19min mark, as someone whom have struggled with depression, it really helped to hear someone actually take time out of their project and say those words, instead of just "saying them and be done", you actually care, thank you
2 things I want to correct, as many others have said but I just wanted to get them in one comment for ease;
1) The Stormveil Castle skip is 100% intended, normally you just go left and follow the path instead of jumping the ledge in order to get to Liurnia of the Lakes.

Tomato,
That little insert about not being your thoughts was a subtle inserts that should not be overlooked and meant the world to someone who has these thoughts regularly.
You have definitely earned a sub, and when I get my first paycheck which is due soon you shall get another patreon supporter as well !

jeeze, the fact that anyone can find a glitch like the zips are just insane - and the whole frame thing - sheesh.
@@CrashTestCollin crazy. Thanks man
I'm struggling to grasp the implementation of the zip glitch. I mean, humans can't count frames... O_o
@@AaronBish honestly, I don't know too. It was a lingering question of mine when watching this video.

This world we live in is a bleak hellscape and your videos provide a temporary reprieve from the otherwise constant suffering that it is to be me and be alive. Thank you
I was waiting for this! Thank you Anus, for all your videos. I have anxiety sleeping and most night I leave one of your videos running till I fall asleep. Thank you for doing what you do.
First video of yours I’ve seen. The mid video message really hit home. Thank you and keep up the great work, love the formate and explanations.
I have been frothing at the mouth just waiting for this video and it's explanation of stable ground. Since the last fromsoft I've basically been rabid. Since I've once again learned about stable ground I've calmed. I can reenter society. Thank you TomatoAnus
I really love the “dragon from Shrek” running gag since ds1
I'm watching a speed run video for background noise, didn't expect to be hit in the feels. Thank you so much for the mid video messages.
Wow, i was sitting here watching this commentary and was hit with a message i didn't realize i needed to hear. Tearing up during an elden ring commentary was new to me. Thank you for spreading positivity like that in the place i least expected it.
I hate flying alone but that's the next step on my journey and I really appreciate the moment to stop and breathe. Remembering that maybe in 5 years this will have just been a small blip in time and plenty of amazing great memories are waiting to happen. Thank you, Tomato. Sincerely.
I don't know who you are how I ended up here, but opening up with "hi, I'm tomatoanus also known as shriveled salami" might be the best opening I've ever heard. you've earned a sub just for that.
square root of gods foreskin is a WILD quote from a speedrun video
Thank you for your speech about not committing suicide, it legitimately helped me the other day during some dark times. You keep on keeping on shriveled salami
