Princess Anne has a couple of "C"'s i seem to remember. These films with Mr. Mathewson should be archived, a lot of his memories of the "glory days" of the British car industry are priceless. I can remember the News when i was a kid in the 70's, every week it felt like Red Robbo had taken another division of BL onto the picket line.

He’s right, my father was a motor dealer at that time and he remembered build quality not good then

A 55 year old MGC with apparently 5,000 miles on the clock almost a new car. Car should not be repainted and loose the patina. Taken to the right people the minor blemishes can be matched to the original colour. A rare in this condition.

The Met Police, 'H' division had 2 MGC roadsters, and they relplaced 2 Daimler Darts, not a lot of people know that.

We had them in Lancashire HQ Traffic back in the late 60's two on each traffic group

the Cs were out of production before the real industrial relations aggro which afflicted BL in the 70s began

Derek was talking nonsenes on this car. From start to finish.

Derek seems to forget this car was built at Abingdon, where the workforce were totally dedicated to what they built. Derek is a bit clueless on these cars, they had a right rot box for auction some years back and he said a person would buy and re-shell it, not realising the MGC shell was different to the MGB!

I agree with the valuation at least £20K because where are you going to find another with 5k miles

A good roadster will go for £30k these days, this should go for that at auction if genuine with 5000 miles on the clock, no doubt a trader will buy it and sell it for £35k.

5k miles!? 105k more like. I’ve had loads of MGB’s and Midgets over the years and they were all better nailed together than that 😂

Where is the boot rubber seal?
    No tread plates?
Carpet looked the wrong type to me.
Not sure Derek knows what he is talking about.

Boot been painted.... oh no its a new boot lid... maybe its had a bump at the back ....... Derek needed to have a proper look at this car before he let the cameras roll.
Rot on the wing tops where the inner arch meets is entirely possible in an undriven car but much of the rest raises lots of questions about its provenance.
Sorry Derek I strongly disagree with you on the build quality of MG. In fact you are talking out your rear, MG's were very well put together in period and undersealed like no other car I can recall.
Sadly the underseal just captured the water in the seams and they often as not rotted from the inside out.
Very contradictory piece to camera, cliched, inaccurate and not worthy of you Derek - I am a fan but you slipped up here.
