How well would the stock air box do with just a K&N filter? Is it perhaps the filter element more than the air box providing the majority of flow improvement? From my experience with other cars, a drop in filter with the stock air box is all you really need.
The question I always have is for what other factor(s) is the OEM trying to optimize that isn't present here? I don't think anyone has any belief that the same people responsible for the LT6 can't make some ducting flow well. So what else is going on? Doubt it's NVH or emissions and I'm guessing this has good filtration, so I'm at a loss.
Restrictions can also be due to filtering more or less particulate matter as well. If you just want the most air flow then no filter at all would do that. Of course you then risk inhaling damaging particulate matter….so we’re all the filters used in this test the exact same or not? That would clarify what your intake was doing. Thanks
Is there a way and or do you guys have the ability to test for particles on both sides? I’m just curious as to what happens as airflow increases. Does it mean more particles also make their way through the system?
The ISO5011 efficiency and capacity test results will be posted on our intake. A lot of the times our filters are even more efficient than the OEM, but we will see next week
Airspeed is important also. I removed my jlt on.my c8 z06, noticed dust and small dirt debri had got past the filter only after 1200 miles. Car has 3200. When i installed the kit car had 2k miles and intake boots leading into engine were clean. Does the oem filter dirt and dust better???
Won’t see more than a 2-4% improvement in airflow over oem. 21% improvement with the full intake. We have been making our own filters for 50 years but not sure if we will make them since there isn’t a big improvement
@JLTPERFORMANCE keep me in mind if when the high flow OEM replacement filters are available for my 2024 Z06. I'm OK with the 2 to 4 percent improvement in flow.
So granted you get more airflow but if you don't increase any fueling, does this really produce more HP. Also wouldn't it be best to have the car dyno tuned when adding parts like this?
I dont mean to be an ass for being a bit apprehensive when a manufacturer of a product, and not an independent company, posts results that favor their product. Not saying this is deceptive, but I can write anything in my favor.
Dyno comparison of the two drops Monday….. we are going to post ours so subscribe and stay tuned to see what each one makes
Regardless if the results are close your selling point is same or better performance at a fraction of the cost. Killer intake.
@@lilgamg 100% agree! If it’s ANYWHERE close or better….. JLT is going to sell a LOT of these intakes
@@dbmracing2019 are you going to release the comparison video today?
@@lilgamg this week!! Just finished it!!
It’s going to surprise a LOT OF PEOPLE!

Great job !! I’m getting ready to start modding my C8 Z06 and this looks like a winner 😎

ok I'll bite. looking to upgrade to the Eventuri but am at least curious.

Entry configuration makes a huge difference on performance. I see lots of differences in the as tested conditions.
You think they fudged #'s?
Like what ??
Yes... but damn that Eventuri looks soooo good!
Nice video 🎉😊
Now that's putting your money where your mouth is... The science does not lie! Thanks for posting.

Is there any data on weight difference from the JLT unit and the stock unit? Trying to understand if it weighs more or less than the stock setup.
We will get a weight difference tomorrow

@@bigchief6042as long as there is enough fuel, the car will hit the target afr as its closed loop fueling from the factory.

Funny, eventuri shows actual zo6 dyno, more hp and exotic sound.
