- Prawn here with an in-depth build guide on the NZXT H6 Flow RGB. Here I'm showing youy how to build the NZXT H6 Flow with step by step instructions including how to setup the 240mm NZXT Kraken AIO and vertical mounted GPU.
The NZXT H6 Flow RGB is an interesting compact ATX PC case with some highlights that include angled side mounted fans, as well as room for two 140mm fans on the bottom which are nestled inside a little nook that makes cable management easier.
This is also a dual chamber case, which means that you can hide a lot of cables at the rear and there's room back there for a variety of things, including a large PSU and two SSDs and one HDD. Plus space for fan controllers. Here I'm using an Intel Core i9-14900K along with a 240mm NZXT AIO, which might not be logical, so watch out for future videos on that soon!

@TheProvokedPrawn just looking at making a similar build. The RM Shift 1000x is 210mm and the H6 flow says up to 200mm is compatible for a PSU. Was there any issues here?

Thank you so much for this video. I've had a workstation PC that I have worked on and upgraded over the past 5 years. I recently decided to build a new PC and take my graphics card out of my workstation. This video is very well done and I really do appreciate your hard work thank you
such a beautiful pc cant wait to follow this video again when i build my first ever pc thank you!
Thank you. Hope it helps. Sub for more of it.
I appreciate this build guide because I bought this case but didn’t foresee all the other stuff that’s not included or is needed. Like you may need another fan and rgb controller or an usb hub for the controller and stuff. Helps me organize and put together my pc when I get all my components
Glad I could help
What extra stuff do u need?
@@Airman2324 a fan/rgb controller, and a usb hub
According to nzxt, the bottom fans don't improve temps. Left mid-top fan actually harms the out take if you're using an AIO. So, if you're budget conscious, you could just keep the stock fans and add a 280 AIO and you're done. Positive air flow and again, according to nzxt, optimum airflow

Hello my friend,
thanks for this complex PC video!
I bought pretty much the same thing without knowing it, except based on AMD, but now I can recreate it perfectly!!

Just finished my H6 Flow build today with a Kraken 360 RGB, 4070ti, 7800x3d, Dom Plat 6000mhz. Gorgeous case, so easy to work on! Didn't know about the vertical GPU mount. Might just pick that up. Great detailed video, very helpful!
Thank you and enjoy!
Corsair needs to get off their butts and start catching up to all the great cases that are out there these days.
Fr tho
I agree! Love my 5000D, but my wife’s H9 makes me want to swap mine out.
Tbh I want quiter fans and less wires first
Facts but ur wrong corsair is top competitor. High quality and great performance just slacking a bit on dropping new stuff
Or buy this instead of Corsair 🙈
Gee this is a great install walkthrough , thanks heaps !
going to be moving mine from a H5 case into this case next week! definitely going to be using this guide to help me move it across!
Nice update
I switched cases too, h6 is easily one of the best cases out there, right after o11 vision chrome... but I don't see any point in switching cases again xD
I’m planning my first build in the near future and will probably be using this case, this guide was fantastic.
What I really appreciate is showing the details of the cabling necessary, so many builds I have watched they just gloss over that. I’d much rather watch in depth cabling over how to insert components into a motherboard , speaking for myself the cabling is the part that seems most intimidating to newcomers.
Excellent. Good luck with the build. This playlist might help too - How to build a gaming PC: th-cam.com/play/PLlRFhsGPgCG9yKCHtL2_UnwSGitMqao5z.html
man that 240 rad actually suites the whole build really well and gives it a good balance with the 2 140 fans on the bottom, its good symmetry. reckon you would probably wanna use nzxt duo fans? not totally familiar with all the nzxt products. they are more proprietary than other brands...but i really do like the rich bright color of the fans and the individual settings of them.
Personally i do not like that there is that empty space at the top, i would still prefer a 360 aio for a full aesthetically pleasing build, as well as giving the extra cooling for the cpu🙂
interesting vertical mount...saw another video where it stated it wasn't possible...very nice!
Thanks for this guide Prawn :) I have the RM1000x Shift PSU and wasn't sure if it would fit well with the side mounted connections. Now that I've seen your vid I ordered the case 👍
Glad I could help!
i'm getting a rm850x Shift PSU and had concern about their website saying something abou 210 mm of clearence minimum VS the h6 flow mentioning something about a max PSU size of 200mm but I can see in your video and like what BenanaBread said, it fits. is the 850w version definitely the same size? And I should have no issues with cable flush?
Is the shift or the normal rmx better in terms of cable management for this case?
Is the shift or the normal rmx better in terms of cable management for this case?@@calpol1394
Thank you for the video. I just bought this H6 Flow case and i was wondering what will be the cable management in it. But oh god ! I'm glad i'm not into the RGB style. The amount of added cable management you have to go threw make me cry ahah.
At the end of the day, it's a really good looking and neat case to have, i really like it. I've also read that the air flow is really good with the stock fans. On the official website, you also can found data with those bottom fan, it's better to not add them for a cooler temperature overall.
The case and components are cooler without the bottom fans? Did they use the fans as intake?
@@Carthus on the official website and also on others video from youtube, they gathered both data with and without bottom fans.
Using bottom fans is only recommended when you have a really beafy GPU you plan to use at 90-100% most of the time (for 3D render as example or very long session of gaming with max settings). In this case only, you have a cooler temperature for your GPU, but overall , inside the PC case it's warmer.
Without bottom fans and just with the default front fans (intake) and one more to add in exhaust you have trully good performance !
For my own settings, i have as GPU a 7900XT and a 7800X3D CPU. Combined with a NZXT Kraken 240. I really have decent temperature at full load, around 60-65°C for the GPU and almost the same for CPU. My room temperature was around 22-23°C.
commenting for engagement because i’ll use this for my upcoming build in a few days which is pretty much identical

Just moved from the Corsair 4000d airflow rgb to this case and moved over all of the fans and controllers from that case to the h6 and I love it
Best upgrade in my opinion
It is great.
The non rgb variant is currently discounted to £79.99, so after watching this and seeing the hoops to go through for rgb, I've grabbed that and will go with either lian-li or corsair uniform fan systems. It has been a while since I've last used an nzxt case, so I'm looking forward to it.
What a guide!!! Helped me alot!
Glad to be of assistance!
i have a o11 mini with a 240 aio, i actually wanted to see how it would look if i transplanted & its not bad the angled fans makes it look less awkward

Just ordered the case and ready to set up my first gaming pc. Thanks for the video, can you please explain about the solution for controlling rgb light of 3x system fan + 2 x 140 fans and 1 x 120 fans?
I’m getting the case next week. I’m on my v2 computer upgrade build I didn’t record non of them but v3 I will.
Thanks a lot for the video! You have helped me a lot to competently assemble a computer from almost the same components)
However, I have a question: at the end of the video, we see that you supply power to the fans from the motherboard, but why not connect power to the controller from the nzxt in addition to the backlight?
You can also connect up to three fans to the pump from nzxt, they have a branch there.
great vid bud, another sub
Thank you.
Are the standard font fans PWM?
Great looking build. I am looking at buying this case for my sim rig.
So is the GPU blowing hot air downwards? In that case you are pushing it back up to CPU area with 2 intakes at bottom? I am a noob, but if I would install exhausr 1x rear, 3x top, 2x bot while only blowing in air from the pre-mounted fans. Would that be good? I just want to know what's best because I want cool and quiet operation if possible, and is it loud compared to Define R-series of old?
hey provoked prawn thanks for the great video. In this case are the three front fans controllable in the same was as the other fans in your case? As I have read that the included front fans in this case are not PWM? Can you confirm how theyre controlled by setting them up in the you did in the video? Thank you!
Great straight forward video, thank you. So useful. 1 Subscriber earned :-)
Thank you!
im planing on getting one in one day
👍🏼 enjoy
so i have a question, i want to build in this case and im planning to add a 240mm kraken rgb like you did, which comes with an rgb controller. can i plug the the 2 aio fans and the 3 case fans all into that one controller, cause the case fans rgb are daisy chained, or do i need an extra controller?
I gotta start all over with my build now 😅
Why
i thought that the dominator platinums also had a cap exchange that makes it look like the old dominator with the "tetris" like rgb lights? am i wrong about that? it only comes with what you used and also the rgb-less heat sink ones?
Great informative video! This'll help a beginner like me when i build my first pc in this case, would you recommend the rmx shift with this case or should i use a different psu?
Should be fine
Do the items like the power source come with those cables?
Do you have any corsair sp140 fans you could test in the bottom fan area, i saw a someone saying the area was tight and not all 140mm fans would fit.
can i connect the 5v daisy-chained RGB connector from the case fans to the spare port on the rgb controller that came with the nzxt kraken aio?
Beautiful ❤️😊
I would have been interested in seeing how vertical mounting the GPU in this case affects the temperatures. Seems like with a blow through GPU cooler the front intake and GPU fans are fighting each other, it seems like the bottom to top airflow would make more sense in standard GPU orientation.
What do you have plugged into the CHA fan 1 on the bottom of the motherboard? Building my pc right now with the same motherboard and fan setup wondering if I’m missing something
Thanks so much for making this vid because i'm planning my first pc build much like this one. A 240 up top, two 140s below and the extra 120 at the back. Correct me if I'm wrong, but i should be set except for the NZXT Internal SUB Hub 3, right? I'm slightly confused if i need to buy an extra NZXT RGB & Fan Controller as well. If it helps, i'm planning on using the Gigabyte Z790 UD AC MOBO which also has 2 usb ports. However i don't see a AIO Pump port. Just a CPU FAN (which i'm guessing is where i should plug into), a CPU OPT, as well as a SYSY FAN3 PUMP at the bottom. Didn't know if i should actually be using that one. Thanks again for this resource!
Main question: Will i need the NZXT RBG & Fan controller? or will the two gubs that come with the intercooler and the f140 two pack suffice?
Thabk you for the vid. I do have a question if you can help out.
Asus X570-P mobo doesnt have a 3.2 USB connection point on the board.
I connected the supplied 3.0 USB connector to the board but dont know what to do with the additional 3.2 USB connector from the case.
Do I need a 3.0 splitter and an adapter for the 3.2?
I just have one question do I need the fans for the bottom that you used or could it be a different brand?
Super useful

Hey, I recently bought this case and I had a question.
So I bought kraken 280mm and dual 140mm fans for bottom and one 120 fan for rear.
Since kraken and dual 140mm fans come with the 3 input hub controller, can i connect 2x140mm fans and 120mm fan into one controller, and kraken 280mm (two slots) with case fans(3) into one left slot on controller? (So 3 base fans all into one slot of controller).

I'm currently looking at PC's and my build is starting to push my comfortable budget. I am considering switching to a different brand for the CPU cooler. Do you think it would still talk with CAM software so my RGB is all coordinated?
No, CAM only works with NZXT hardware. Consider software like SignalRGB for brand-agnostic lighting control
