Maybe the voting system of the DSS needs to be updated to always include the planet it is currently over. Allow the Helldivers to select to keep it where it is to finish the job.
SES Spear of Conviction reporting in. The DSS orbital bombardment wiped out my whole squad. I don't know who's aiming that thing but man... They need a raise.
I think the reason it keeps targeting us is because it’s either using the original artillery system that happens when you’re a traitor, IE, targets indiscriminately. Or uses a system similarly to the meteor storms.
4:40 for those who aren't in the know, the voting system for the DSS is not democratic enough and didn't give us vog sojoth as an option to stay on it, but prior to moving to vog we weren't able to go to Lesath. In the end though all turned out well because the orbital bombardment sped up lesath's liberation by a ton, perfect timing.
I request to high command to clear all previous votes and allow us to revote each time a significant change occur on the galactic map (invasion, planet liberation, etc).
Or even more simple, it would be great to be able to move your vote any time you want it instead of locking the vote in until the station moves. To prevent too much troll shenanigans, you could limit those vote-shifts to two per voting phase / 24 hours
@stormgr3n this, if better that what we currently have, wouldn't change much as most of us only vote once per day and it wouldn't necessarily reflect the current state of the galactic war. Hence why I was suggesting to at least clear the votes after each changes as Helldivers currently on the front would likely be better suited to decide than whose on break time.
@@eldarionmarchombre4568 yeah, especially when the planet the DSS is on is liberated, the vote for the DSS redeployment should be cleared and started again. Even better would be if it would set the re-deployment to start in a fixed amount of time after planet liberation, for example two hours after liberation, so the active helldivers got time to asses the situation and direct the station where it is needed at the moment. This would also up the time the DSS is above enemy planets, as it wouldn't be stuck for 12 or more hours above a planet that was fastly liberated

One of my funniest moments with the DSS was during a bunker mission during an orbital bombardment. I waited about 20 min for the mortars to hit the first bunker but no hits. I arrive at the second bunker and it immediately gets blown up by one bomb 😅
SES Propeth of Truth, under command of Fleet Admiral NotTheBomb, was gleefully deployed to Gar Haren. Been fighting there since the Gaellivare and Mastia failure. I decided to put my resources into a fight where we can actually make some progress. Man, those trees…. Kept eating our Eagle strikes…
SES keeper of peace of the 1st colonial regiment reporting. We have been deploying primarily on the bot front these past few weeks so today our crew got some well earned rest and relaxation on the bug front we will likely return to the bot front within a few days but for now we are helping test the mg's so far the mg-43 is the most effective of the three but the heavy mg's anti tank capability makes it a force to be reckoned with as long as you can feed it that is our test department believes that the stalwart while an excellent light mg for shock troopers would fair better as a front line support if it had a optional ammo pack that would feed it ammo via a belt going from the pack to the gun this pack could have a max ammo count of say 1000 but be non reloadable, this is just one of many improvements we believe could help us spread liberty at an optimized rate. We will continue our testing as soon as our ship is resupplied we expect this to be done at around 1700 hundred hours tomorrow. SES keeper of peace out.
No matter where the DSS is, I stay on the Bot front to scrap the Automations. Was the whole week on VOG Sojoth just for a quick change after I saw that Lesath gets liberated quickly, now back to Vog but it seems the Liberation will be stuck a while at around 28-30% there.
SES Custodian of Gold - Been on the frontlines, the massacre of Mastia left a bad taste for us, we have tried moving back and forth across the two fronts and the failure for Vog Sojoth, Lesath, Zzaniah Prime have just shown a lack of information. Hoping this Efficacy MO leads to improvements, the HMG is my solid choice, but those bugdivers keep pushing the MG43, solid choice from basic. Deploying as needed - Star Marshall MajorEarl12
For the Machine Gun major order, I feel it's not fair for the Heavy Machine Gun, as while it's best of the 3 MGs at taking out heavies, it's the least efficient at increasing kill count. Stalwart's the most ammo-efficient against light units, but MG's the most well-rounded of the bunch, so it makes sense for it to be the lead. Doesn't look like production workers are getting a lunch break anytime soon though.
SES Eye of Eternity. Can confirm, the Helldiver's tactical efforts are... slightly questionable, however, it's nothing that can stop the spread of Managed Democracy. For Super Earth! રોશની જોઈ રહ્યા છે...
It's tactical genius. In the previous week, Helldivers... 'allowed' the Jet brigade to take Gallivare, anticipating that their next target would be Imber. Knowing that the rapid reclaiming of Gallivare immediately afterwards would trap them on Imber, with the fiery planet itself also serving a benefit. Jet troopers are extremely vulnerable to heat damage, as it ignites the fuel in their jetpacks and kills them instantly in an explosion that often takes their fellows with them. A planet with constant fire tornados would wreck havoc on the toasters, destroying thousands of them even without Helldiver action. The Jet Brigade is a rapid assault force. Attacking a location, claiming it, and then quickly moving to the next. By penning them in on Imber and forcing them into a defensive action, which is the exact opposite of their specialty, it made it a cakewalk to obliterate them and stop their rapid conquest of our worlds.
Unfortunately, I think that at the end of the 60-day period, they decided to start a routine of one MO a week, ending during the weekend. There has not been a full weekend of MO activity since before that period ended. I don't like this way of doing things.

The only thing DSS is good for is being a better UI indication of where to attack than the game's UI ; most likely why Divers numbers increase when DSS comes in a system.
Ofc now bugdivers voted for darius 2 instead of keeping the DSS on vog sojoth to liberate it. Vog sojoht is already at 26% but they seem blind. Although the major order is very important, the liberation of the planet could go very fast
Oh I have been WAITING for something like this! FINALLY we can drive home the point of how fucking GARBAGE the HMG is because of its low ammo per magazine count. The Gauntlet of Mercy calls on all Helldivers to ABANDON the HMG and focus on ether the MG or the Stalwart. Ether can reach first so long as the HMG does *NOT* complete. The HMG is an insult pretending to be a Machine weapon when it's just a heavy rifle with an extended magazine. Perhaps NOW we can FINALLY get them to address magazine capacity for this weapon and bring it up to par with the other MGs. Regarding the Strategic blunder of Lesath/Vog-Sojoth, I can't fully blame the Helldiver Corps because there seemed to have been a glitch with the voting system that would not allow them to commit the DSS to ether one. Still this does prove the rather mindless march of the Helldivers as they could have just remained behind to complete Vog-Sojoth with or without the DSS.
