  • From a VHS tape recently rediscovered in a dusty basement - a video made for Cathay Pacific, probably in the late 1980s, by Original Image, the team that would later become the big:group.
Featuring British radio DJ Graham Dene - en.wikipedia.or...
And Thames News presenter Sandra Harris -

2:42 Reservation system known as CUPID stands for Cathay Unisys Passenger Information Display and at the check-in counter called CUPAC Cathay Unisys Passenger Acceptance Control…
30 years later, Altea suite is the passenger services system (PSS) is a series of critical systems used by many airlines including Cathay Pacific. The PSS usually comprises an airline reservations system, airline inventory system and the same system is also used at the airport check-in counters known as departure control system (DCS).

I agree! I stopped flying them… the modern HK flight attendant are rude.
Doesn’t matter what class you fly, service is poor.
Etihad or Emirates for me now… Stay 2 nights in lay over win win! And business is cheaper

I was proud of Cathay as a Hongkonger, now the company's best bet is to merge with another lead airline in Asia, Thai for instance.

No. Hong Kong was not tech-savvy but a business-oriented town; Japan was and it will be focused on tech.
