    I really started liking Bill Maher after seeing Religulous, because growing up in Oklahoma seeing someone openly saying "Religion is fucking stupid and I can prove it" was a breath of fresh air. But watching his show now is the embodiment of the adage of "die young and be a hero or live long enough to become the villain". Krystal did a great job on his show this last weekend, which was the first time I've seen any guest ACTUALLY hitting back with good responses in a while. Bill Maher and the other conservative hack guest saying they didn't know there was an economic collapse in 2020 was the height of Maher's bubble think. He didn't suffer economically in 2020 so it's like it never happened to him... "Why are we giving people money?!?! Can't they just live off their savings for a couple years till the pandemic is over?!?!"

    • @Rob_Cary
      @Rob_Cary 2 ปีที่แล้ว +23

      The curly haired Republican guy that sat next to Krystal had to literally educate Bill that SJWs and leftists are different things.
      When Bill agreed with the guy that covid checks caused inflation, it felt like watching Krystal vs. MAGAts. She barely had to do any work which is a good thing since this show is basically "cut off when guest makes sense/fake audience seal claps" lol

    • @Black_Caucus
      @Black_Caucus 2 ปีที่แล้ว +13

      Krystal showed that she *actually* can argue from a left wing perspective. I just wish that she debunked right wing propaganda when it's on her own show with Saagar. Also wish she would call out fascists and bigots more often. Breaking Point's audience has shifted VERY right wing since Krystal and Saagar started Rising a few years ago- any browse of the comment section for five minutes shows that- which tells me that Krystal as the 'left wing' voice on the show (opposite Saagar) is obviously not doing something correctly. If Krystal went on Breaking Points and talked like she did on Bill Maher, she'd be a huge asset to the left and would gain relentless praise from people, even those that stopped following her after she kind of went down the Jimmy Dore path, although not nearly as bad obviously. I hope she sees the positive reinforcement and learns something, her appearance on Real Time was very good and made me hopeful.

When Trump got famous for trolling them I think he saw the center as where the sane people hated Trump without all the SJW nonsense. Despite how bad a take that is I think that changed him. • @undergrounddojokeyboardcag701
      @undergrounddojokeyboardcag701 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I mean... if you're in the position to where the death penalty is being used as coercion, you're in a bad situation no matter what.
      Jokes aside, I don't mind the concept of the death penalty, i do agree that there are just some people you cant really do anything with. But, they are few and far between, definitely not as many as the US likes to execute. But the only reason as to why im ideologically okay with the DP but refuse to support it in our system is because we have a broken justice system. We've literally seen a mentally challenged man get sentenced to death based on zero physical evidence and the testimony of one eye-witness. That one eye-witness also happens to be the second person involved in the crime that the guy sentenced to death was involved in, but this guy was not mentally handicapped.

Now, police giving people information they should not have and then getting them to include it in a confession, is a different story.

    My parents used to watch Politically Incorrect and I used to watch Real Time with my mom before she died in 2009. And I honestly watch him now because she used to like him. Now he's in the same boat with Dennis Miller (a former liberal who became conservative) but at least Dennis had the balls to admit he's on the right now. Even though he claims "I didn't Change, the left did". Sure thing Boomer, keep denying you're still on the left even though he attacks them more than the right today. It's unbelievable this is the same guy who made "Religulous".

    Maher hasn't had a truly excited audience like this for a long time. Most of the time now he sits and waits for applause or laughter which is just pathetic and no self respecting comic would ever do it. He's spent too many years surrounded by people who tell him what he wants to hear and you can see his childlike response whenever he realizes he's actually said something funny or popular. I actually watched that dude's show for the first time in years on Friday night cuz I knew Krystal was gonna be there (didn't know Jonathon from Buffy was gonna be the interview guest though! 😯😃). Where tf did Maher's guests go? He used to have an interview, 4 main guests, and a special guest at the end. On this episode he had one serious guest, Krystal, and that dude who mostly sat beside her and pouted at all the shit she was knocking out of the park. Looking smashing, too, Krystal. But I really hope she doesn't bother doing Maher's show anymore cuz sitting through an hour of his smugness is tantamount to torture. 😵

    Don’t be embarrassed Kyle. I’m 71 and I never missed his old show. For the time he was the most progressive guy on TV. I think losing his show for not being politically correct (ironic huh!) got his mind right. Now making so much money and being so insulated keeps him that way.

    I watched his most recent episode. He nailed it with the WAPO piece. He has some shit takes, always has always will. People are offended because he disagreed with Krystal. She proved him wrong, and plugged her shows. He has people on who he disagrees with, it's a lost art. Great episode.

      That WAPO rant was terrible. It started okay with a decent (albeit very belated) review of the Sonmez issue but then he veered off-road into another tired “Get off my lawn, ya damn millennials!” screed.

      Matthew, that he disagrees with Krystal doesn't OFFEND people. That he's oblivious to her points while being a pompous ass gives people validity to feel that he's an out of touch pompous ass.
      For example, the previous time she was on and gave stats to support that Bernie was indeed electable unlike the propagandized MSM bullshit that he couldn't beat Trump (after Maher said he was looking at Klobuchar, Krystal told him Bernie beat Trump head to head in a poll 48%-42% in Texas and outperformed every Democrat vs. Trump in 20 states), and all he said in response was, "Meaning?"
