Please delete/ignore 2:44-2:50 when the narrator says you can skip the individual timing of the tests and read the whole strip at 2 minutes. That approach will give false positives or erroneous test results. The little numbers are there for a reason. The reason is that that is when each test is accurate. The chemical reactions that cause the color changes continue to darken over time. So if you wait until 2 minutes some of the test pads may have gone several shades darker from where the true result is.
WHEW! glad i watched this haha, had bought some like a year ago and just tried em tonight randomly and my leukocytes where super purple! freaked out a lil and This was the first vid i pulled up and ur intro made me look at an unused strip, they are all bad/expired hah.
I'm glad I came here to watched this very informative video. I thought there was something strange about those strips I bought as soon as I first opened them though they weren't expired. They were probably an ebay purchase that was already opened before I got them. So I won't be buying anymore of these or any strips from ebay anymore. Very informative video.
Stick is very sensitive to light, moisture and temperature. Your hand might be moist, hot and it can affect reading significantly and decreases shelf life. I am registered nurse. People tend to forget to check colour, clarity of urune and straightforward dip the stick which I feel it's wrong practice.
I needed to know if the test strips can be purchased at your neighbor hood pharmacy,? Also I needed to know if your acidity or your alkaline reads positive turn brown or neutral what color on ph
I use a clean desiccant pouch / canister in the urine strip bottle to attempt to extend strip life.and, then store the strip bottle away from the bathroom, in a low place, to avoid heat.
Does this result not concern. Does this not mean that you have an unknown Kidney disfunction esp. if this is a constant over many months. You should be at the opposite end of the scale. Females are a little higher on the PH but not at the other end of the chart.
GREAT demonstration! I just performed this test with a similar brand (11-point test) because last week, on a much simpler home test, I tested as having a UTI. All was normal this time (after antibiotics) except S.G.--way off. I will have to search elsewhere to know what that means and whether it's important. MAY call your company number if I have no luck, so thank you for providing contact info.
When I use a test strip I get inconclusive results if you can call it that... My leukocyte 'square' turns fairly deep purple in the middle, but remains its original 'white' color towards the rims. My protein 'square' is also weird and goes dark blue/green in the rims, but remains its original color in the middle. Are these false positives or not? I've had these for a few months now so I'm guessing it's nothing of importance really. But it still confuses me as to how I'm supposed to interpret it, while the other 'squares' behaves like they're supposed to de. Do any of you have an idea of what I should do about this?
1) DO NOT TOUCH THE STRIP other than the bottom part. Ideally wear gloves 2) use a sterilized cup. I sterilize with hydrogen peroxide. 3 ) dont bring the strip out of the pa late until you’re ready to submerge. 4) read the manual to interpret your results 5) the results come in intervals. This is why you use a timer. Submerge the strip in urine for a few seconds (submerge the color patches) and tap off excess it one gently. Then place strip ok clean paper towel . Set timer for 2 min and watch if the colors change for certain categories at different time intervals. Read your manual if you’re confused.
What di the numbers on the right mean . Those above the colours. I dont mean the ones that tells you how many seconds it will take . I mean the ones on the right above the coloured boxex on the bottle.
So if the ph of the strip doesn't change, what does that mean? Not sure if strips I bought are bad, or ? Skipping between 4, and beginning at untested strip to see the change? Thank you.
I am using the URS-10 test that checks for microalbumin and the color is a much brighter blue than the colors on the chart. The protein is negative. It remains yellow, but I’m concerned about this sky blue microalbumin result. Is this unusual or can these strips be inconsistent for checking microalbumin? Thank you in advance for any help you can offer.
Lovely Video! Forgive me for butting in, I would appreciate your initial thoughts. Have you ever tried - Fanebastianor Phrenic Formula (probably on Google)? It is a smashing one of a kind guide for eradicating your gout problem without the hard work. Ive heard some decent things about it and my friend after many years got astronomical success with it.
All can be Related if Protien is High and if you Pee Foam into a Clear Glass get your Kidney Function Checked out.. Kidney Disease is very much on the Rise around the World..
Wouldn't you start at the bottom, 30 secs, then up to 60 sec items etc and you have to keep up. Should have someone else watching the clock, recording the results. I think she said just wait the 120 to do them all which would be a big blunder.
I really wish you would center the bottle when you go through the test. Towards the middle to end of the video you just keep it slanted and don't spin it one by one for the results. I was waiting specifically for some of the other tests and didn't get a good look at them and you kinda hurried through talking about the rest of them. I'm confused about how to read the creatine and wish you were as thorough speaking about that as you were with the first rhings
Positive protein result… does that mean you have protein in your urine? Which means you are eating unused protein? Which would be the goal if you were a bodybuilder? i.e. you’re getting enough protein in your diet, not deficient?
Is your Urine Foamy when you Urine into a Clear Glass?? NOT the Toilet.. If so and with the High Reading on the Strip.. You should have your Kidney Function Checked.. CREATININE and GFR.. PRONTO.. I have Stage 3a CKD. I have Maintained this Level for 5 years with Diet and Distilled Water. Tap Water isnt anywhere Near Safe to Drink Everywhere.. And you can have CKD without Pain or many other Symptoms.
No, protein shouldnt be in urine. Its the kidneys job to mantain the protein in the body (even at large amounts), if you got protein in your urine you should check with a doc
It is also noted on the bottle, to NOT TOUCH the TEST STRIP AREAS; which you do in the video. It can cause inaccurate results.

I agree! I think you need to read the strip within 30 seconds
Great simple explanation. Better than urologist I just watched

Wish you went into detail about that off the chart protein reading
You’ve got to explain what each test is for. Thanks
Thank you for your simple explanation 👍👍
What do all the elements mean? Which one would indicate an infection please?

Is there a home test kit for Potassium?
This was very helpful. Good job explaining
So one should be alarmed if the test result is at the very end in a category ?
You never mentioned what the ideal reading or colour should be. How would one know when a reading looks normal or is a cause for concern?
I needed to know if the test strips can be purchased at your neighbor hood pharmacy,?
Also I needed to know if your acidity or your alkaline reads positive turn brown or neutral what color on ph
Nicely explained 💛
I use a clean desiccant pouch / canister in the urine strip bottle to attempt to extend strip life.and, then store the strip bottle away from the bathroom, in a low place, to avoid heat.
Thank you, the video was helpful and on point

Very well explained.

Yes good description but what about the results that don’t match? What do they mean?
Thank you! For explaining the timing
Good explanation
Looks like my urine test, my protein was on the other end, not as much as this one, but it was up there and so was my Ph....

I’ve had the same issue with the protein one. Thin blueish line on the bottom but normal color on the rest of it
Me too!! Any word on what this means?

You should work for the company: "YOU CAN WAIT THE FULL 2 MINUTES BEFORE ANY EXAMINATION" THANK YOU!

Read your manual if you’re confused.
When you’re waiting for the colours to change. Is it that one of the colours changes and that gives you your reading
Make sure to use high CRI light to compare colours. Only very high quality led lights, or halogen light, or the best - natural sunlight
thank you it helped me and my friend mr wassim jaffel thank youuuuuuuuu
Are you and mr wassim jaffe still friends after posting this comment?

What indicates an infection?
Leucocytes and nitrites
What di the numbers on the right mean . Those above the colours. I dont mean the ones that tells you how many seconds it will take . I mean the ones on the right above the coloured boxex on the bottle.
Doesn't high Protein indicate Kidney problems?
Thanks for sharine How t write all the the results of each

If the strips last 60 to 90 days. So really, it’s not advisable to buy a pack with a 100 strips ?
Are these test strips valid for someone who has been eating a carnivore diet for three years?
how many minutes does a strip stays on the flat surface
Thank you for the video
Thank you for this. Does it matter at what time you test after a meal when testing for protein? Cheers.
Very clever strips
What if only the edge of the dipstick changed color ? for example for protein : the square stay yellow but one edge blue
Mine did that too. What does it mean
My question is if the colour on the text strip is the same thing ...which one is negative and positive
Rewatch the video, she explains it
How do I know that maybe blood Is positive or negative

also you put the bottle right where the urine was on the tissue.
It's urine, take it easy haha. I can't imagine how you can live like that.

You are correct. She's wrong. Take the readings at the stipulated times as they will continue to change colours after those times have passed.
