Actually it's been in the back of my head for quite a time too. Would you know of a good website that sells quality (but affordable) ocarinas? I think it's one of the easiest instruments to get in a crappy, cheap form, so I'd prefer a professional advice. Thanks!
I'm 22, so I've been playing Zelda ever since the NES and SNES era, so it's great that someone as young as you has been able to get into it and appreciate it too! ^_^
Thank you for putting all your hard work into your channel. If I fell sad, or nervous, I can turn to you. Please continue on with your dreams, regardless of what people say. (By the way you are my favourite channel in the whole wide world!)
i love how David always closes his eyes when he plays the ocarina. It proves how passionate he is towards this beautiful instrument and that he understands that the ocarina isn't just a toy made out of video game. (but don't get me wrong, i love zelda to death)
Am I the only one who shedded a tear hearing the Ballad of the Wind Fish? When I got too the ending of Link's Awakening, I was kinda sad too see the island of Koholint dissapear cause it was only a dream... then after hearing Marin's voice seeing that she was still alive but not as we expected her too be... *sniff* +1 this comment if you had the same experience as I did
Matthew Kartanowicz I cry after almost every Zelda game, I get attached to a character, then poof, they're gone. Namely after Midna and Fi left xD Could be that I'm just way too emotional, because I honestly used to hate Fi...
Wow, so many feels... from rheumy eyes to nostalgic chills! You guys seriously rock! c: The instrumentation is so simple, yet the overall medley is so intricately detailed... I LOVE IT. Congrats again on your kickstarter
Songbird Ocarina has a book with the tabs for all of these songs that come with this with the OoT Double ocarina. I believe it will be available for purchase this summer!
Gosh, that's tough. It would probably be between Ballad of the Windfish (childhood memories), Lost Woods Theme (it makes people dance), or the Wind Waker Theme.
No possible combination of words could even come close to describing how amazing this feeling of euphoria and nostalgia that is present in my body right now from listening to this masterpiece. Thank you so much for making this man. Its practically curing my depression. Don't stop doing what you're doing man.
+Lalamonkey I recommend the Night by Noble! It's a plastic ocarina so it'll handle the trip well (Unlike the ceramic one I ordered first..) and the sound is very clear and nice. It's not overly expensive either.
You are now my favorite youtuber. Great job! And congratz on the goal that is so awesome i knew u'd make it. Glad to be a part of funding this dream for you!
This is by far my favorite of all videos you've ever posted. The Zelda II town was my favorite section. It must have taken you a very long time to perfect and assemble the video. Thanks for the hard work.
I can't believe it has been 10 years since you posted this and inspired so many others to play the Ocarina. Hope you are doing well and happy with where you are in life in general!
Every time I watch one of your videos I want to whip out my ocarina and *try* to play along. You really make me want to be a better ocarina player. Thanks David.
I am happy to have helped in some small way. You have managed to help inspire me in my artistic endeavors and I hope you continue to inspire others as well.
The print version will be available on the Songbird website, but if you'd like to get a download of the PDF sooner, you can inbox me for order information since I wrote the book xD
There are a few fan works that made you 'remember' why you like an entertainment franchise. It is like a fresh and yet nostalgic feel. This video brings these feelings up!
I love this! I am so addicted to Zelda that I know every single song that you played by heart, could name the game they're from, the title of the song, and where it came from. Big nerd right here!
This was incredibly epic. Beyond reason.. I particularly liked how you included the Flute Boy's song, and the transition from that to Ballad of the Windfish. Ending with the Game Over music was genius by the way.
Oh that's been amazing! I loved all the songs and all of you have been great! I especially liked the Ballad of Windfish, the Song of healing and Midna's lament. Good work!! Greetings from Spain;)
Link's Awakening is the very first Zelda game I've ever played. I got really excited when you played the Balled of the Windfish. CONGRATS ON MAKING YOUR GOAL!!
when I got my first ocarina, which is a 12 hole btw, I looked for tips and hints on how to play. I crossed by your channel, and I can say this much. I am amazed by the beautiful music you make on your channel! I just wish I had an STL Double like you have. I started watching your Ocarina Music Theory videos, and I learned so much from them. And it has made me a decent Ocarina player. And I want to thank you so much :)
From one oc player to another, I'm happy to have helped, seeing as you helped me find this amazing instrument. You've obviously inspired so many others just as you have, me. It shows with your successful kickstart. Congrats dude!
Aw man! I love this! The Wind Waker theme got to me, since it was the first LOZ game I played on GameCube at my friend's house in I believe 2007 and I have it for the Wii U in HD currently. I also fell in love with Skyward Sword. My brother loved Twilight Princess, since he played it on our Wii on vacation one time. So many great memories.
Dude, this is awesome, you're awesome. All you need to do now is get a cape, and stand on top of a mountain playing these tunes as the suns setting with the cape fluttering in the wind. Awesome. You and zelda OOT are the two reasons I bought myself an ocarina, I'm not too good at it yet, but I'm gonna try and practise.
Thank you so much guys! DocJazz, DavidRussel, Swiggles, you all are awesome and great! Just keep going, keep having fun while playing and giving us such amazing videos!
Thank you, so much! Legend of zelda majora's mask is truly my favorite zelda game. Even though 100,000,000 pounds of nightmare flue is floating above your head the hole time, it truly brings a wonderful experience for those who like the zelda series.
Hello David my name is Nate Rigney. I've been watching your videos for a long time and you really inspire me. I've had a 9 hole ocarina for about 5 years and today is my 15th birthday. Hopefully I can afford a new 12 hole Oot ocarina. You are a great inspiration and I wish you the best of luck. Play life like you do music. - Nate
Very nice sir. I must say that when i first became interested in the ocarina ur videos were a great source for information. Ur playing really got me excited to pick it up so thank you.
thank you for showing me playing the ocarina wasn't a crazy idea. I really enjoyed playing my little twelve hole ocarina and am glad to know that it not just skill that makes plastic ocarinas not sound as good as wood or clay
Wonderful medley. I love how you put it together with the help of the other two. I am so glad the kickstarter project worked out. Can't wait to get my hands on your album! I hope it'll be available in Germany, too.
Another wonderful medley my friend, congratulations on reaching your goal that is absolutely fantastic and will hopefully spread the influence of the ocarina even wider than it already has spread! I am so sorry that I wasn't able to participate and help you out in some way, I really didn't have any money to spare given my chaotic married life. Keep on playing as always!
Such perfect timing ^-^ watching SDA's newest video on "a link to the past" speedrun, and im playing this instead of there audio XD Beautiful work as usual. Also. 4:40 is the BEST song of storms EVER PLAYED!
I am almost thirty. The original Zelda game came out when I was just a couple years old or so. But despite whether or not you are a fan of the game series, I think we can all agree some of the compositions were amazing. Koji Kondo was a very talented composer who is in the same league as Nubuo Uematsu. Also, I am very happy to hear that @docjazz4 reached his goal. That will definitely be an album I will buying once it is out!
You inspired me to play the ocarina
+Gamelover1242 that's awesome! I have lots of ocarina tutorials on my channel if you ever need some help!
Actually it's been in the back of my head for quite a time too. Would you know of a good website that sells quality (but affordable) ocarinas? I think it's one of the easiest instruments to get in a crappy, cheap form, so I'd prefer a professional advice. Thanks!
Never mind, I just read your description, you had it all planned all along, you magnificent player. Going to grab one from Song Bird :)
A mí me inspiró a seguir aprendiendo piano
x2
I'm 22, so I've been playing Zelda ever since the NES and SNES era, so it's great that someone as young as you has been able to get into it and appreciate it too! ^_^
OOT and majoras mask = my teenage years. good memories.
Clock town was absolutely beautiful. You are a superb player. I'm sure everyone else agrees
TWILIGHT PRINCESS!!! Mt favorite Zelda game of all time!!
The wind fish theme has always been beautiful. That and the opening theme for OoT, wonderful songs.
I really love the natural sound you bring to every video. Something organic about the way you play music. Keep it up!
It was an absolute honor to help out with this medley. Congratulations with the Kickstarter--I'm seriously looking forward to the album!
I was humming along to every theme you played in this vid. Beautiful job. LEGENDS OF ZELDA IS BOSSSSSS!!!!! AND I LOVE THE TWILIGHT PRINCESS ONE!!!
Finding this guy after 4 years without listen him is so incredible! Such a good musician!
Thank you for putting all your hard work into your channel. If I fell sad, or nervous, I can turn to you. Please continue on with your dreams, regardless of what people say. (By the way you are my favourite channel in the whole wide world!)

Songbird Ocarina has a book with the tabs for all of these songs that come with this with the OoT Double ocarina. I believe it will be available for purchase this summer!
Who remembers when David only had 3000 Subs...
I do! XD
Lol of course you do XD great medley !! Have a question, what's your favourite Zelda song of all time ? Mine is probably Zelda's lullaby. LOVE IT.
Gosh, that's tough. It would probably be between Ballad of the Windfish (childhood memories), Lost Woods Theme (it makes people dance), or the Wind Waker Theme.
David Erick Ramos by males people dance you mean the traumatizing scene from OoT where the 'Big Brother' goron dances?
David Erick Ramos
my favorite is the overworld theme from spirit tracks
No possible combination of words could even come close to describing how amazing this feeling of euphoria and nostalgia that is present in my body right now from listening to this masterpiece. Thank you so much for making this man. Its practically curing my depression. Don't stop doing what you're doing man.
Link is love. Link is life

Bradley Hamilton Much Life...
Shrek is love. Shrek is life.
You can buy it at any Zelda Symphony concert in a town near you :D
I wanna get an ocarina, but they're so damn expensive!
+Lalamonkey I recommend the Night by Noble! It's a plastic ocarina so it'll handle the trip well (Unlike the ceramic one I ordered first..) and the sound is very clear and nice. It's not overly expensive either.
Yes night by noble is a great one for beginners and is very durable.
Thanks David Erick Ramos, grand audio for The Legend of Zelda, the best game ever available! Great to the ear & soul... Phill
How did you get my Ocarina?!
Link Hylia OH SHOOT, LINK FOUND ME!
RUN DAVID!!
WHERE ARE MY ARROWS!
CALL SHADOW LINK!!!!!!!!!! HURRY DAVID!!!!!!!!!!
Wait...I thought you bought the ocarina David... David?
Doc, you're the reason I got an ocarina.
I got it a year ago, and it hasn't left my side since.
I really have to thank you for that.
I wasn't the only one playing my ocarina along with him by ear was I?
***** Same I was doing it
You are now my favorite youtuber. Great job! And congratz on the goal that is so awesome i knew u'd make it. Glad to be a part of funding this dream for you!

I love this. I watched it a couple times and I played along on my ocarina. Great video! :-)
This is by far my favorite of all videos you've ever posted. The Zelda II town was my favorite section. It must have taken you a very long time to perfect and assemble the video. Thanks for the hard work.
I find myself coming back to this year after year
Awesome! You did my favorite song from Majora's Mask! Nobody ever does Stone Tower Temple in an sort of Zelda Medley.
3 years and that still looks awesome.
You're outstanding!!!
This was absolutely brilliant. Your control of the ocarina is masterful, and you can play other instruments to boot. You are amazing.
I can't believe it has been 10 years since you posted this and inspired so many others to play the Ocarina. Hope you are doing well and happy with where you are in life in general!
Wonderful job as always, dude. Glad to be a supporter of a great ocarina musician as yourself - and I can't wait for the album!

I'm shooting for August!

I got the biggest smile on my face once the town theme from Zelda 2 came up. I wasn't expecting that! No one ever seems to put it in medleys!

The jazz arrangement on Song of Storms was just brillant!

That's a great medley, plenty of beautiful themes, I like a lot the Stone Tower Temple :)
That was just beautiful. So much so in fact that it brought tears to my eyes.
So much emotion. An amazing composition.
Gotta admit covers of dark world from A Link To The Past never get old! Fantastic exquisite mega ultra job!
David, this is an excellent medley. Please keep making videos like this.
My favourite video of yours yet! Keep 'em coming!
Wow...Your music really gives me the goose bumps, but in a good way...nice job:) keep up the good work.
