the son of Thrall solo'd a Dungeon Rare, that's a hell of an accomplishment at his age.
What a great story, glad to know the Orcs have a bright future. I can see Thrall's daughter becoming a great shaman and his son becoming a great warrior, both filled with compassion and honor. Two characteristics Thrall himself has passed down to both his children.
The fear of a parent is as mighty as the sometimes foolhardy bravery of a youngling. And the grandparents look at the kids and remind them that once, they were that young and impulsive too, giving them the fear of that beloved child dying in their time. These lessons are ones I've learned as both. Love your reading of it, Pyro, you always do such great work.
Yet another short story that brought me to tears. Not only due to the amazing writing but also thanks to you Pyro. Glad you're back.

I know Rehze is being set up to be a shaman like her father, but what if she's being set up to become an Orc... Druid?
Hear me out. Blizzard have been making classes available to all races recently. Mages, Priests, Rogues and Warlocks were all made universal in Dragonflight. There have been hints that Paladins will be next (The Tyr's Guard storyline with its' Kul Tiran Paladin, Night Elf and Void Elf Paladins have also been seen recently), which leaves Shamans and Druids, not including the hero classes.
Rehze shows an affinity for all of nature, not just the elements and spirits, in this story, and she seems to have a distaste for killing and eating animals, so wouldn't it be possible that she become an Orc Druid one day?
That would be pretty cool way to tie it in.

I expected more out of the story.
Obviously, his son is less wise than his daughter and went against his wishes and possibly failed to understand the true concept behind om'gora. I expected Thrall to react a bit more stricter after the initial conversations.
Otherwise a great story.
i didnt like that his son lived. the hwole time thralls talking about how the deaths are important enough to not stop the tradition of letting their children risk their lives and ofc golden boy thralls son ran off early to fight a great beast and win and thrall can continue on saying how its worth the risk but gets to live without feeling the bitter end of this ritual
