thin whistle sound like choked, because the other music sound was very hard as we know thin whistle only had two oktaf range, the way you blow it bit harder and fast it will be changed into second oktaf
think it has more to do with the mixing sounds almost like the Brits stage mixer put the lead mic up with the rest of the band at a different volume unaware how to mix a full instrumental performance… CLEARLY since the tin whistle can be heard over everything else
