Truly terrifying offensive arsenal. Uncharastically quick and crafty but also the all-time leader in blocks and still top 10 in steals. A center with on-ball defense to boot. Ridiclously underrated player.

Best all-round center the game has ever seen had 0 weaknesses. #DREAM

I can't say best all-around. Kareem was more efficient on offense, not quite as good on defense but definitely, a better passer which compared to Shaq, Kareem, Wilt or Sabonis was one of Hakeem's weaknesses! But he's definitely my fav center of all-time!

@@WallTrapMedia I disagree.. passing was far from a weakness for Hakeem.

Passing wasn't a weakness for Hakeem.
It's easy to pass, when you play with great players for a long time.
Even early in his career, Hakeem was not only a willing passer (when available), but also a creative passer, after he went to make his move or his shot. That shows natural instincts; feel or vision.
Are you trying to say Shaq was a good passer, who compared to Kareem, Wilt and Sabonis?...Cause, Shaq was neither a good or willing passer. And if you think he was, then you need to add Hakeem to that list. LOL
PS: No one was as efficient on offense as Kareem, as he had basically one set shot. Olajuwon had so many moves, because he was always being constantly double, tripe and quadruple teamed (before or after he touched the ball). LOL
Note: I may have misunderstood you, as you were comparing Hakeem's passing to the others? Either way: I saw you mention, he was your fave as well. 😁

Olajuwon might be, along with Jordan, maybe Kareem, the best example of a perfect basketball player.

Even with Olajuwon sensational numbers, he could not get past the mavericks. He had no quality players to help him out.

In that game Sleepy Floyd had 42pts , hakeem had 41pts
not very often two players have 40 in a same game , especially a playoff game

Olajuwon also had a 40p game in the 95' playoffs with Drexler scoring 40p also. there are so many ridiculous details to Olajuwon's career that just get completely overlooked.

@@armandodelossantos736yeah I don't know how to explain the Rockets from 83-97's tendency to be overlooked, or tendency to underachieve.
I mean they had players like Sampson, Drexler, Barkley, Otis Thorpe, Kenny Smith, Sleepy Floyd, Rodney McCray from 83-97... and they had these like 80% goal accomplishments
Sampson joins a 14-68 Rockets franchise after 82-83.
Sampson turns them around, makes them 50% better with him as largest catalyst. 29-53 record in 83-84. +15 wins
McCray is a rookie in 83-84 as well.
84-85, in comes rookie Nigerian, Akeem the Dream Olajuwon
Olajuwon adds to Sampson, McCray, Lloyd, Reid, Lucas, Pedersen etc. A legitimate HOF young talent.
Rockets improve from 29 to 48 wins, +19 victories.
They are already a #3 seed in the West and team on the rise and of the future and r innovative in approach, scheme, makeup, and strategy. They have arguably two Center-Forward-Guards @ above 7 feet or from 6'11" to 7'4".
They lose a good challenge vs the 85 Jazz pre Malone & Stockton Jazz. It's Dantley's Jazz. Thurl Bailey, Mark Eaton, Rickey Green 💚🍏, Darrell Griffith. This is their Jazz, the team of heart 💜 Jazz, the Frank Leyden Jazz.
They probably should still have won.
But they didn't. Olajuwon is a generational game changer, BUT, he also throws haymakers @ goofy white centers in the early 80's.
So they get off to a fast start with the Twin Towers 🗼🗼 Sampson and Olajuwon.
They also precipitate in the playoffs quickly and lose to a lower seed. Oh well. The Jazz had experience from 83-84 in the playoffs. They were better than their 41-41 record ⏺️. Themselves, a perplexion equal to Houston.
The 85-86 Rockets win 51 games. Win the Midwest. The Twin Towers have a Division Crown 👑 now. Big 2nd step. 1st step playoffs. 2nd step Division Title, home court thru to the WCFinals if they make it vs Los Angeles.
3rd step, win a playoff series. Sacramento of Eddie Johnson, Otis Thorpe, Reggie Theus, LaSalle Thompson were swept by The Twin Tower 🗼🗼 Rockets 🚀🌌...
Rockets won two games by 20 and 15 points. The 2nd victory of 3 by 8 pts. +43 pts over Sacramento. The Twin Tower 🗼🗼 Rockets 🚀🌱 were spry, young, active, athletic, and already becoming suffocatingly dominant. A playoff sweep is difficult for anybody. The Stockton-Malone Jazz swept ONE series from 88-2000. That was 1997 vs the Los Angeles Clippers during their Olamakandi, Brent Barry, Piatowski days. Not even the Ron Harper days or Danny Manning, Mark Jackson days. The Clippers were a 36-46 8th seed.
