Barea was a beast, no doubt about it. But Carlisle put in him on the starting lineup was the smartest move on this series. That’s was the difference and why they win the 2011 championship. Barea Power! 😃

It’s almost as if height helped see better angles to drive or pass through the lane. Weird that it actually helped him.

I liked Barea alot but I don't think he deserved that for 2 main reasons.
      1. He was not good enough for that. He was really good just not that good. In my opinion.
      2. He left after the 2011 Championship run. I wasn't mad that he left because he got paid plus he was made a starter so that was a great opportunity and I can't fault him for that but when it comes to getting a jersey retired he needed to play here his entire career.

@@bigred9991 I mean, Oklahoma retired Nick Collison's jersey because he was loyal, if you think about it, JJ was traded but they didn't trade him, he would've stayed those years with the Mavs, plus, he was an amazing talent for the team when they needed it, and he's a veteran that is good with mentoring young players, one of the reasons he'll be Dallas' assistant coach next year alongside Jason Kidd (I believe it's Jason Kidd).
